Ah the Springfield Bus Terminal. You're an interesting place.
There's only one bus company (Peter Pan, a subsidiary of Greyhound), and only one desk. Yes, there are a few places, but there will usually be only one person selling tickets out front, and if they're in the middle of something, it may take awhile.
There are three restaurants in the facility itself: Subway, McDonalds, and Dunkin Donuts. The Subway isn't too bad, and seems to be better run than others I've encountered. The convenience store is standard, though it does close a little early.
There's less control over lines here than at other stations (I'd assume that's due to lower levels of staff than elsewhere, though at the same time, unless you're going to NY or Boston on a peak day, you won't have major lines).
Overall, it's passable. It's not great, but it's not as bad as some of the larger bus stations (New York comes to mind, and to a lesser extent, Boston) read more
