I made calls to Valley Transporter without a return call for over 2 hours, and since I was running out of time, I called Bluebird Airport Transportation and got through. I talked to the owner, a one-man show, and he said he had availability to drop me off at the airport the next morning. It would cost $65 plus $10 tip. I said OK since I was desperate for a ride. The next morning, the guy showed up at the agreed upon time and got me to Bradley in about 35 minutes. It was a painless trip and I appreciated the ride. Thank you for being available to take me! Bluebird is slightly more expensive than Valley Transporter, but you don't have to get picked up 3 hours before your flight! Xie Xie!!!

The day before our flight home to SFO out of Bradley, I checked the ride share apps to get a sense of how easy it is to book. Nope! Then I started calling all the taxis on Yelp!, only to find 24 hours wasn't enough lead time and/or I had to order by completing an online form & they'd get back to me in 48 hours. A couple I called hung up b/c they were busy. Joe not only answered his phone, he told me how he prices (per mile) and texted me back w/ 5 minutes with my price. It was fare, he didn't change once we got to the airport, and he was right on time. Don't bother calling anyone else!

From the first meeting, Lorna was honest, presented many options, and worked hard to check all available prices. Even after we left the office, she sent along a lot of information so we could make our best choice. She ended up booking flights and the resort under budget, and we were incredibly happy with our trip. When we met with her to go over final plans and pick up our travel documents, she gave us a bottle of champagne and a card to congratulate us on our wedding... now that's customer service! This is our first time using a travel agent, because we feel like we can handle it on our own, but we really enjoyed working with Lorna and will return.

Six straight times now I've called for a ride only to be told "we're all booked up" or "everyone's at the airport," and to call back in a couple hours, maybe, possibly, but no guarantees even then. Which isn't the kicker. The real kicker was in the light dawning over Marblehead. So I called from another phone, claiming to be at a local hotel, and wanting a ride to the airport a half hour away. Well, NOW they had a cab available ... sure, for a huge fare. It's just local trips they don't want to provide. Not to mention that their name and claims to be "environmentally conscious" are just hogwash. Their cars are like any other, burn gasoline like any other, and if they were THAT environmentally conscious they'd be telling people to take the train or the bus to the airport instead. Nice frigging try.
