Leo and his team are setting an example for everyone in the car industry of how a successful and honest business should be. Had my jeep lifted here and couldn't be happier. Leo took his time and researched the best lift kit option for me days before giving me a quote. When I did get the quote it was very reasonably priced but more important Leo stressed that the manufacturer Rubicon Express ONLY makes kits for Jeeps as it is their specialty and their customer support is exceptional. So I went with this kit, lifted the jeep a total of 5" after getting new tires and loving the new feel! Now this isn't where their stellar service shined, not yet atleast. Moving forward 4 months I have my jeep regeared at 4 Wheel Parts down the road. Their store manager calls me and explains that whoever lifted my jeep did it incorrectly and has caused damaged to the passenger side factory knuckle which has too much play/movement and he suggests replacing both driver and passenger side with "beefier" units at a price of $700. He explained this was a major safety issue and the jeep should not be driven in this condition. Immediately I told him I had my jeep lifted just recently and that it was under warranty and I would notify Spring Works. Leo sent his technician down to 4 wheel parts to evaluate this "damage" and pointed to their technicians that everything was in fact installed correctly and the only reason there was play in the part they wanted to replace was due to them removing the nuts. The 4 wheel Parts tech didn't really have any further explanation except to say the lift kit used was problematic with known issues. Next Leo called and talked to the manager directly and even got Rubicon express technical support team on the phone with the manager who explained to him that there's no known issues with this kit and the play was normal because the part wasn't bolted down. So hours later, 4 wheel parts calls me and told me the car was fixed and ready for pick up - a washer was added to remedy the problem. Are you kidding me? A washer was used to fix a major safety issue with my vehicle? Sounds like a bunch of b.s but I'll let you pass judgement. Bottom line - Leo and his team went way beyond the call of duty. They stood by their workmanship and their warranty. They even evaluated my vehicle after it left 4 wheel parts to double check their work. They removed this extra washer that was added and showed me there was no play in the parts. Leo and his team never made any accusations and always kept their composure and professionalism, even though it was clear what 4 Wheel Parts was trying to pull. So if you are looking for an honest company with integrity - come down to Spring Works. Leo will take very good care of you with your eyes closed. read more

I found Spring works and online. I sent in my request saying we need more capacity for towing our camper. The got back to me on my custom order leaf springs that needed to increase the payload for my 2010 Toyota Tundra. They met my specifications which were an extra 1000 pounds of payload to the bed. They also did the install too. 5 stars for service, qualify, and ease of doing business. Once we had a chance to try out the new springs were more than please. read more

I ordered a pair of leaf springs for my trailer, It was urgent that I get them this week, has the ones I had were not the right kind, and the trailer is sitting on jack stands with the boat. I had to call to verify if they had bushings for them in stock as well. They did not, but the employee there went above and beyond. He called around and found the bushings at another retailer. When he called me back he let me know what he had found and that he would process the order to ship out today. I will shop back here for any boat/trailer/truck parts I need in the future. read more

I got a recommendation with a discount card from America's Tire for $40 off of a $90 alignment at Spring Works. I made an appointment online and when I showed up I found that there is no one to check in with and that you are suppose to drop your keys in a lock box and wait for a text message. I left and about an hour later got a message stating that they could not do the alignment because my car needed additional work and they would send me an estimate in two days then found out that to get my keys back that I would have to pay $25 for an estimate that would have to wait for. Once they waste 2 hours of your time and charge you $25 for an estimate that you don't get for 2 days their business model dictates that they can screw you out of as much unneeded work as they think they can get away with because you have already committed the time and money. My car was just serviced at the dealership and it was just normal maintenance with the exception that I needed new tires and an alignment next service. Spring Works is a scam operation and the State of California should investigate them. I never agreed to pay for an estimate although it may be buried in some fine print online. I went to the back shop and talked to a mechanic and told him either give me my keys or I'm calling the cops. He resisted at first but then called his boss and gave me my keys without my paying the $25 ransom. read more

Spring Works and the owner Leo are amazing. Extremely honest and for the first time ever, Leo has his team video tape the problems with the car. I went in for a 4 wheel alignment but they were unable to do the job because of some bushing and parts for the tesla that they are unable to get (must go through Tesla). But he showed me the issue on video, sent the description of the issues and video to share with Tesla. In addition, They rotated my tires and at the end of the day, with all that work, Leo did not charge me a dime! Now this is a shop you can trust. I was not happy with the results after 2 alignment attempts on a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The front desk guy was nice every time but that doesn't mean much if the guy in the back can't do his job. I had wear issues on my rear tires in May 2015 and I had them do an alignment after getting new tires. Then in April 2015 I had really bad outer wear issues on my front tires. I brought it in and left about 2 hours later with them saying I had to bring it back because they couldn't get it into alignment. I brought it somewhere else and they said it was really out of adjustment for supposedly having 2 alignments in that short of time. The other shop had no problem bringing it into alignment and did not require any new parts or anything other than a proper adjustment. I'm never going back here or recommending them to anyone. read more

Let me start by saying I am a perfectionist when it comes to vehicles and if my vehicle is pulling or has any issue I will fix it. This is why I decided to go to a specialty shop, that only concerns themselves with alignments and similar work. I was pretty disappointed in my alignment I received today. This is the 2nd time I have had the experience of not feeling like anything was accomplished by taking my vehicle here. My alignment was not complete and the vehicle still pulled to the right. I understand there are many different things that cause a right pull but there was no solution before the vehicle was given back to me. I wouldn't think this was crazy but the last time I took my vehicle here (a different car) I had the EXACT same issue. Came here to get my tire alignment checked. They had a deal going on for American Tire customers ($55). Other places were charging $80 for 2 wheel drive Camry. Took about an hour to complete. Their waiting room had fruits, water, a small play table for kids, and laptops for customers to use. While at the shop, the mechanic also checked my suspensions and tires. After purchasing 2 new tires at America's Tires, I got a coupon from them for Spring Works for an alignment, since they didn't do that at their shop. I found it easy to make an appointment; be we aware they are not open on the weekends. I was completely blown away by every aspect of this place! Once there, I really did not want to leave! Here's why: Service: customer service from every single employee was outstanding. Phil got me signed in, and gave me the WiFi password. We reviewed what he would be doing at this appt. The work was completed in the estimated time. And the appointment was on time. I also met Leo, the owner. He was really open and approachable, telling me a bit about the history of the place. I also met Angelo, his son. They were all friendly, helpful and respectful. The work: the alignment was done, along with a thorough inspection of break pads, etc. They provided me with a detailed assessment of findings; and basically it all looked good. The car needed a minimal alignment, and they let me know how much 'time' I had left on my brake pads. No price gauging, no finding problems that did not exist. The shop: it was like a dream come true! Spotlessly clean in every area. Cool, industrial feel to the shop. Large waiting area with laptops to use! Yes, you read that right! There were 3 Dell laptops available on swinging arms, that could be used. This, in addition to free WiFi. Current magazines of all types for reading. A large TV tuned in to CNBC, with no sound on (thank you!!). Quiet background music, that was not loud or offensive. They also had a small coffee bar with fresh made coffee, fruit, and doughnuts. (See why I did not want to leave?!). And the bathroom was large and spotless. The whole place was totally wheelchair accessible. And they had a small play area for children with a table and games. It is clear that the owner takes great pride in his place, and that a lot of thought has gone into the asthetics of the place. When chatting with Leo, the owner, I gave him big thumbs up. And actually, when they told me my car was ready, I was bummed! I was really enjoying my time there. Overall, this place is the total package. This is definitely not the place to go if you're just looking to put a band-aid on your suspension problem. Some reviewers were complaining about not being able to get an alignment without $1000 worth of work. Aligning a vehicle with worn parts will just create more expensive problems down the road. The logical thing to do is to fix the problem now and save money but some people just don't get it. I went to a different suspension shop to have a leveling kit put in my 99 F150. They put the kit on, took my money and didn't mention anything else about my suspension. After the installation the truck rode like crap so I figured I should take it on for an alignment. I took it to Spring Works and they pointed out that my lower ball joints were too worn to properly align the wheels and that my shocks were too short for that leveling kit. (I did end up having a blown out shock and they caught that right away) It was frustrating to hear that my truck needed a lot of work but I appreciate that they went out of their way to ensure the job got done right. After installing new shocks , ball joints and aligning my wheels my truck now drives 10x smoother and I feel like an idiot for going to the other shop initially. I wish I would have gone to Spring Works in the first place. The first shop I went to didn't have the equipment nor knowledge to be able to tell me that I had worn or wrong parts on my suspension. Spring Works could have done all of the work in one visit and instead I wasted a lot of money by having to come back on multiple occasions for problems that the other shop didn't catch. I'll definitely be coming back and will be recommending this shop to friends. read more

I've owned and operated auto repair facilities for many years in CA and OR. I recently took my wife's 2004 MPV into these guys for a front end alignment and was impressed by the whole process. From the hospital-clean waiting room, complete with coffee, tea, fresh fruit and more, plus a good selection of magazines--even current magazines, to even an online laptop for customers' use, the place is uncommon in the auto-repair arena. I was told the job would take an hour and it did. Exactly. The very reasonable price quoted is what I was charged, with no attempts at upselling or adding junk charges as is common in almost every industry these days. I was told that my front brakes were down to 3mm and would need to be replaced soon. I know this to be an accurate assessment since I checked them myself a few weeks ago. The guy who did my paperwork showed me the computer printout of the specs of my front end both before the work and afterwards. No attempt was made to doctor the numbers, as I am very familiar with this vehicle and everything checked out fine. All in all, probably the best experience I've ever had an an auto repair facility. I'm a retired professional mechanic and have only recently started letting others do my repairs. I'll take my vehicles to these guys any time! read more

Spring Works rocks. They fixed a problem I have had for several years and the owner Leo went out of his way to help me get to the doctor AND back while they were working on my truck. I have a 2002 Dodge Dakota with a small camper and have been unhappy with the bouncy ride. A local tire and brake shop had recommended expensive shocks and a overload bolt on spring which only helped about 50%. Then I went to Spring Works, they recommended an add-on leaf spring plus some new front shocks. WOW. What an improvement. I feel safe again on the road and the truck corners better too.Plus they fixed my ball joints. My entire experience with their recommendations, work, pricing and personalized customer service was great. I wish more service-oriented businesses were like them. I am new to Santa Rosa, I had my tires done at California Tires, they have advised me to to go next door and get the alignment on my suv. I checked in to Spring Work, I was greeted warmly in the front desk and made my wait very pleasant, they provide you with nice seats and a laptop, I did all my online work there. Refreshments also being served coffee fruits and more, nice touch. The work was done on my suv well, they also check all your essentials, breaks and more to get you safe on the road. I went to this shop because the tire guy at a nearby Costco recommended them. My car was making a squealing noise from the front passeneger wheel well. I thought it was a ball joing. Anyways, I went to Spring Works told them what I thought it was and they performed a complimentary inspection. Turns out all of the suspension parts are OK and they pointed out a significant groove in the rotor, which they believe is the culprit for the noise. They said it looked as if I had recently had the breaks done, which I had, and said they would bring it back to the people who did the breaks and rotors and have them fix it. Phil was fantastic in explaining this to me and educating me on the brakes in general. He did give me a quote to resurfance the rotors, if possible, in case the brakes guys wouldn't fix it. I appreciated the patience and honest assessment. I was totoally willing to repair something there had Phil said something was wrong, but things were OK. I WILL go back here when i need suspension/brake work in the future. I will also reccomend this shop. Thanks for your honesty. read more

It was alot cheaper then the other shop I usually go to and there was no waiting for an appointment at all. I'm rewriting this review to be more direct. I brought in my truck for suspension work. They ordered parts. I left a deposit. When I showed up to have the work done it became apparent that the parts ordered would not achieve the results we had previously discussed prior to ordering parts, this was a misunderstanding that I'm willing to accept partial blame. To ultimately achieve the results discussed ended up costing more. I picked up my truck the following afternoon.The work was completed and I was satisfied despite the cost increase. Later that night a slight squeak I'd heard earlier seemed to be more pronounced along with a clicking noise. I inspected and found the nuts on the driver side rear wheel were loose and the wheel was loose. I tightened the nuts and drove home. No problems since these unexpected issues. Glad I noticed the loose lug nuts. read more

Yes, my springs work better for my camper addition. I would give four stars but for a couple of issues. First I had asked them a month before as I had looked at my existing springs if adding more would effect my emergency brake cable on my Tacoma and they assured me the technician said it would be a non-issue. Well, the cable now rubs the leaf springs and is not perpendicular to where it actuated at the rear drum....we will see how that lasts. Expensive spring work but I am pretty happy how it works so far....no explanation though about what they did in addition to my spring kit that was already on it and should it have cost so much with the kit that was already on it. Also they were prepared for me to take it away with the spring u- hanger threads protruding 6 inches below the axle. Not good for off-roading or even the street! 1300 dolarinos and I would expect attention to detail to have the threads cut down. Inspection they did is another issue. Yes, they were correct about front brake pads needing replacement...fine. Lower ball joints having 1/16 inch play? I checked them afterwards and reputable shop did after that and no measurable play. Also, rack and pinion bushings were said to be worn out. Same story....not worn. I have a feeling they like to "drum" up business. So I have a hard time trusting these folks. It's a dog eat consumer auto mechanic world out there and when you find a good shop you really appreciate it. read more

Spring Works. I brought my car in for an alignment, and they did a great job, customer service was solid and they were polite and accommodating. However, there is a reason why I did not give them 5 stars... When I picked up my car, they informed me that one of my tires was coming apart and could blow out at any time. I was confused because I had just purchased my tires (not even 5,000 miles old!) but the guy insisted that one of my tires was damaged and he urged me that I needed it taken care of. He then told me that he could book an appointment at America's tire, because he could get me a discount. Apparently the two places refer customers to one another....I decided to wait and booked an appointment at Mclea's where I had purchased the tires. They put my car up on the lift and did a full examination. After the examination, the service advisor told me and showed my all four tires and said that none of the tires were coming apart and that I was never at risk for a blow out! So moral of the story, always get a second opinion, especially if the information you are given doesn't sound right!! read more

Hi! I felt the need to write this review after my recent service by Springworks. My appointment was for 4pm yesterday, and when I came, due to a bit of miscommunication on an issue and a missing washer, they were unable to complete the task. I added the washer that was missing on my power steering rack and contacted them about the other issue. After a quick conversation with Leo (the owner), we came to a conclusion that they would in fact be able to do the alignment and he made it right. I came in and he took care of the truck in a quick and professional manner. Everything was done right and I will be continuing my business with them. Springworks is a great place to get good service with people that havea nice helpful attitude. I had an alignment done there before and it was a good price and the guy even offerred a coupon because i got reffereed by atire company. I felt so good about their work and service i drove all the way back to santa Rosa agin ( i live in Marin) when i had some rattling in the front end. Springworks gave it a road test and checked it out and found a bolt was loose from a strut somebody else did. They did not charge me. !! wow. They also have about the coolest waiting area, they even have free computers for customers to use. They offered me some fruit and water. i really hope other people discover this place because they deserve it. I would come here agin. Love the cool and helpful energy! read more

Excellent experience! They got me in (even though I was late) & did a great 4-wheel alignment on my 2011 BMW. They even adjusted the rear camber (at my request) a little less negative for better rear tire wear (-1.5 instead of -1.9 factory spec). Clean waiting room with free clean, new laptops to use! A little play area for the kids & free fruit, coffee & bottled water. Afterwards they took the time to review. Price was very reasonable to boot! Angelo Beck has always been up front and honest about what needs to be done with the vehicle. Brought my fiance's car in to get an alignment. when she went to pick it up the gentleman quoted her for 2,000$ saying how the tie rod ends had play of half an inch, and the head gasket had a small leak. Now all true good mechanics know that the play in the tie rod is not a big issue and that the small leak happens on every car. Not only that but when I asked if I could bring in parts and have them put then on he said no they only use THEIR parts. Funny how when I went to AutoZone where I work all the parts that were "bad" only cost 400$ without the workers discount. Not only that but they said her car was unable to receive the alignment. but it's fine that saved us 2000$ and more. I was thinking of bring in my Jeep with a lift kit to also get that aligned but nope not anymore. to me it seems as if they are money hungry. read more
