Hi Spring Creek I visited the location in Mesquite Texas on New Years Eve. I travel from Corsicana to Dallas to visit family. On this day I stopped to use the buy one get one rib dinner. I attempted to pick up food for my family that were at the hospital. I needed to order using three different phone numbers since I was ordering for family at the hospital with our 95 year old grandma. I approached and told Arturo that I needed to place three different orders. He asked me, "so you're using three different emails"? As if that had never been done before. I said yes I'm placing three different orders for three different people . He then said I need to see if we can do that. A few minutes later another gentleman comes out talking very loud saying he would have to have power of attorney from the family members in order for him to have permission to use their email addresses without them being present.He continued to say that if allowed that it would be the same as committing fraud. He then told Arturo she is only allowed to use one email. The gentleman then walked away and I purchased the one order and left. I drove to another location to get the orders since I was not able to fulfill the orders at the Mesquite location. I drive an hour to feed my family at the hospital and didn't need to experience problems. This is a very stressful day given the situation with the food needing to be purchased for family at the hospital. I visited the Fire Wheel Mall location and told Sarah the same thing , and without hesitation or incident she assisted me. I was able to continue my journey to the hospital with the orders using the coupons that Spring Creek offered. Sarah was pleasant and never gave me problems. Arturo didn't look at my account and I had 10$ coupon that he never asked me if I wanted to apply to my order. I have always enjoyed the food from Spring Creek Barbecue but if this is the way management conducts business, I will choose other places to spend my money. Arturo acted as if he was giving away food. I spent $75 dollars so for he and the "manager" to treat and respond to me as if I was trying to do something illegal was very offensive and will not be tolerated if I continue to be a patron of this business. read more

We've been coming to this Spring Creek Barbeque for years. The Val-pack two for one coupon is too hard to pass up! So it's the pandemic edition. I went in and walked up to the to-go counter and ordered two meals, a chicken and a sausage dinner. You get two sides with each dinner and rolls. If you so desire, I did, you can get okra as a substitute for both sides. I recommend it if you like fried foods that are delicious. I waited around for maybe 10 minutes and they called my name and my food was ready. When I got home and sit down to eat, open the Styrofoam box and, boom, my sausage is burnt. This is the first time I've ever gotten sausage that wasn't perfect. It's like they saved the burnt sausage for take out orders so when you get home, you're miles away. Disappointed to say the least. In the past, when there wasn't a virus to avoid, you'd walk through the line, order your meat. They had a cowbell hung from the ceiling and they'd finish a particular order and the carver would hit that cowbell with his knife. I was curious and asked, "When's the last time someone cleaned that cowbell?" The next time we went, it was gone. Once you have your meat; ribs, brisket, chicken, sausage, you get to load up your plate with unlimited sides! All you want and you get to come back for more! Get a drink or a dessert of you so desire and pay at the end! One of the best parts of dining in, you get "hot, fresh bread" brought to your table periodically. Who doesn't like freshly baked bread?! Pull one apart, put some of your BBQ meat in it, pour some BBQ sauce on it and chow down on your BBQ slider. Lastly, they have a baked potato option if that's your thing. read more

I am done with calling their corporate office and complaining about this location. There's a manager who will not talk to you if you want to complain. He will just ignore you. They leave items out of your order when you place a to go order. You have to drive all the way back to get what they "forgot" to pack. I've seen the servers handle food without gloves and not wearing hair nets in the prep area. Their corporate has no interest in fixing their so called flagship store. Came on a holiday for dinner around 6pm. It was about a 20 minute wait, but the food was fresh and good. I ordered ribs and had a chance to taste their brisket. The ribs are St Louis style, this is very important to note. This time the food was excellent, but I've come during slower times when the food is drier and less tasty. Make sure you go on a busy day or you might get food you aren't happy with. The hot fresh bread is probably the second reason I come here. They deliver it to your table by a bread basket and it comes warm with a slight crispness on the outside. The third best reason to come are the generous and really good sides. Corn on the cob, baked beans, green beans, cole slaw, potato salad and all the side fixings. Come back for seconds on any of these and you will be given a clean plate to fill up. They aren't skimpy and the sides are one of the best I've had for bbq. read more

I have severe food allergies and Katara at the Cypress location always makes sure my food is taken care of and safe for me. She makes sure when I come in, to order my food and talks to all the people preparing my meal. She goes over and beyond to help me, and she is why I come back every week. We ordered curbside pickup 6/13/20. My order was combination 2 meat dinners. Beef brisket, marbled and St Louis ribs. My ribs were extremely disappointing. 2 ribs had flat bones covered with very little meat. The other 2 ribs had cross cut round bones, much meatier. Our other combination meat dinner was brisket and dark meat chicken. The chicken leg was 2.5 inches in length and appeared more like a wing drumette. This is the Original and the quality of the food is better then other locations. My foxy wife and I were asked by friends to join them for dinner. I would have awarded 5 stars but the brisket was on the dry side. The black pepper sausage was fantastic and my wife really enjoyed the ribs. The bread was awesome as always. The lady behind the counter even told her coworker that there was no way it was a pound and a half, and still gave me the plate. Not worth your time or money, sides were cold and green beans were nasty. Please just take the time and go to Rudy's or anywhere else. Not worth your hard earned money. Decided on take out today. Big mistake. SC BBQ has been my favorite place ever since they came to Katy. They now have a location in Richmond which is closer to my home. We've eaten there a few times and ordered takeout once before. Today however was a total disappointment. I ordered sliced brisket 1/2 lean 1/2 marbled. A slab of Babyback Ribs and 2 baked potatoes. The ribs were so tough we couldn't eat them. The brisket was all marbled and tough as well and the potatoes were already dressed so all the butter had leaked out and the whole order was a total mess! Probably a bad idea to write this review while I'm hungry but here goes. So Spring Creek Barbecue is pretty delicious meat with decent sides. Their brisket, ribs, and sausage bring a pack of flavor and really satisfy the carnivore in you. That being said, their sides are nothing special, so don't expect anything special. Oh my goodness their rolls. They probably taste better than they should because they give them to you fresh out of the oven. A server will regularly come around with a bread basket and you can keep getting them as long as you can eat them. The atmosphere is what you would expect, very southern style with the wood tables and paper towel roll in the middle. Of course they play country music as well. Attended a social group holiday get together here. It is easy to get to as it is on the Rt75 service road. Plenty of parking. What a very good place to have good food and be with friends. The decor is warm and inviting. The format is cafeteria style. Obviously red meat is king but their are other choices. The menu includes salads, sides, and desserts. I chose the brisket and it was full or flavor and fork tender. I had a side of fries and a chopped cole slaw. Next time, I will skip the slaw and choose the Mac and cheese. Fresh cooked rolls come with the meal. Desserts? Huge servings of banana pudding or equally large pieces of several varieties of cream style pie. I chosE the chocolate and was not disappointed. There is also fresh made cobbler topped with ice cream. While I did not have it, those who did were complimentary. This is a BYOB location but I stuck with a soda. Pulled pork was delicious, and St. Louis ribs were the best ribs I've had for seasoning and fall-off-the-bone goodness second only to Marlowe's in Memphis. We wanted to try some Texas BBQ and decided to give this place a try. This is a buffet style restaurant where they serve you your meat, then you serve yourself sides in a cafeteria style line. While moving along the line, there were literally dime sized Cockroaches crawling around the food. The brisket was pretty much nothing but fat. That being said, my review will be on their to go services and food, but first I will add an interesting fact about this particular location...this is the mothership, the location where it all began. They are very good with to go orders. They always go through your order with you and show youbto make certain they got it right and that you are happy before you go. They also typically offer you a drink while you wait for them to prepare your meal, though that does not always happen. The food is always good, but my favorites are the ribs and chicken. The last 5 times, they have left something out of my order or completely given me the wrong order, which meant I had to go back and get the correct order. The ribs were old and not meaty the last two times. I've been going here for years and honestly, they have some of the moistest, tender, and flavorful smoked meats you can find. They have daily lunch specials and you don't have to wait 3 hours in line for quality BBQ. Meats come with sides consisting of my personal favorites mac and cheese, potato salad, and green beans that have descended from heaven itself. I always ask for a higher marble cut of brisket, so my brisket is always tender and juicy. Their smoked sausage is tasty and I'll occasionally order their famous brisket baked potato! You can't beat how friendly and welcoming the staff is. It gets pretty busy around lunch and dinner time, but the meat is always cut fresh and I'm in BBQ heaven from the first bite on. Their bread literally melts in your mouth as it's baked fresh EVERY 10 minutes! You'll know what I mean when you'll hear the best 3 words in the world, "Fresh hot bread?" My answer will always and forever be "YES YES YES". If you're looking for some quality BBQ, a nice Southern BBQ experience, and some of the friendliest folks you'll ever find, come to Spring Creek.
