Came to walk through here and lots of cute restaurants and eateries. Very clean. Not many homeless, security is present. Parking is a challenge but I'd return.

A landmark of an attraction of adjoining buildings connecting from Spring to Broadway between 5th and 6th street with great lighting and plenty of seating at any eating or drinking establishment along it's path with a bevy of lush living units above all the fun. The buildings have been around for almost a century and have seen maybe businesses come and go. Calavera Burrito being one of my favorites in the past... Not to dismiss Blue Jam, Guisados or Kai... among others. The parking closest to S.A.B. is pretty steep, however there is a ton of walkable parking close by for less as well as very easy access to the LA Metro and Pershing Square Station. They do have restrooms that are available to patrons with a receipt of an restaurant, eatery or bar within the walkway of lights, wall art and decor. Definitely recommend walking through if in the area or dinning in/out... A lot of the seating is patio style along the pathway connecting all things Spring Arcade Building... Usually gated or sectioned off slightly making it a clear path for pedestrians and easy seating for people watchers partaking in pastries or whatever the palette pleasure of choice is.

The establishment has two entrances on both Spring and Broadway, and the hall way was filled with restaurants with indoor and outdoor dining area. It's a convenience location for food under the shade, not too far from the grand central market, fewer options but less crowded, and better dining environment.

The place itself looks pretty cool. It's an alley that is loaded with a bunch of food places. Macaroons, donuts, Blu Jam, Don Francisco's looks pretty gnarly. It's not big by any means, but plenty of places to choose from to eat.

I happened on to the Spring arcade last time I was in Los Angeles. I was looking for coffee, a place to sit and easy access to power. Plenty of cool options from coffee to pastries to food. I love the historic feel and it's clean and cool. You can enter on Broadway or Spring street. I love the lights...adds a certain inviting and comforting feel. I'll come back next trip to check out the food scene.

Indoor/outdoor mall

Very congested area. There are a lot of parking options nearby. We opted for the underground garage next door that was $9 valet only. It was really hot today and was hoping it was actually all indoor with air. I didn't know it's more like covered outdoor mall. I am not sure what's on the other floors of this building. The restaurants are on first floor. Most are very small with seating outside of them. I didn't really see anyone cleaning the tables. We cleaned our own. Employees were all wearing masks though. We ate at Rice Box and the gelato place. The restroom is next to Rice Box but locked. The security guard has to open it for you. The architecture is cool but it seems the building has a long way to go to reach its full potential.

A lot of food and offices...

I have never been here and am amazed how clean and unique this arcade is; it looks like it came out of the 19th century. The shops here are quaint and most open around lunch and into the happy hour. There is a mixture of bars, Japanese, Italian and other cuisines to be had, as well as breakfast and coffee shops to choose from. Its on the boundaries of a tougher LA, but it feels like a safe place to enjoy breakfast through an early dinner, especially since the days are getting longer. If I worked downtown, I would certainly like to come here for some spirits after work, or a sandwich for lunch. A resurrection is occurring downtown, and this is most definitely in the heart of it!

What a building with breathtaking decorations completely with hanging lightbulbs surrounded by lots of culinary options including tea and coffee shops, Japanese restaurants, macaron patisseries, and many more. It was located in a slightly more sketchy area of DTLA, but this food court provided an oasis for pedestrians. Gorgeous.

Entrance to the coffee house

Great new coffee house at the Arcade in DTLA. I got a latte and an almond croissant and everything was delicious! I will be back tomorrow for breakfast.

Ask the Community - Spring Arcade Building

Where is the best place to park?

There is a parking lot next door to our building at 529 S Spring which can be accessed all day for $10

Is this building dog friendly?

The arcade is open from end to end with individual shops that are enclosed. You can walk the dog through the arcade, but maybe not inside a restaurant.

The building also has a really nice gym, which has been a huge plus for me. It's convenient, clean, and well-maintained. The neighbors are friendly, and the overall community feels welcoming. One of the biggest reasons I've enjoyed living here so much is because of Danny and Stephanie. They're always helpful, responsive, and truly care about the people who live here. They don't make you feel like just another tenant -- they treat you like family. Anytime something needs attention or an issue comes up, they handle it very quickly and efficiently. With meters and lots all over the area, what else would expect from the city life? It's safe here and frequently monitored by SouthPark officers as well. What I'll sorely miss about this place were the relationships that I built. I knew the entire staff and would wave, talk, and truly lean in with them all. Recently (4 months) moved to LA and I am very pleased with MLofts so far:…read more General Building: Very clean, modern, simple but well maintained. Cleaning staff of what I can tell might be only 2 people do a great job of handling the occasional mess. Apartments: Well maintained, appliances are pretty good, but all compact versions as the rooms themselves are pretty small. Decent amount of cabinet space, and high ceilings so if you can make use of vertical storage, you should be in good shape. Floors are concrete so while they are easy to clean, they are also very cold. Not recommended for families due to size, but couples can make due and singles will be fine as long as you don't have a lot of stuff. Amenities: - Parking is limited to 1 space per apartment which would be one of the few drawbacks but some of the neighboring streets have free parking with only 1 day where you have to move the car for street cleaning. Streets in the area are also very safe seeming.. Building has electric car charging spots also. - Gym Equipment is relatively new, good quality and kept clean. Nothing too fancy, similar to a nice hotel. Would be nice to have 1 or 2 more items but definitely adequate for a relatively small apartment complex. Also, never busy and 24 hours (although be careful after hours as I believe the person directly above can hear the noise from the gym). Two large TV's for watching games etc. - Coffee Commissary: This place is great. While it's not part of MLofts, it is in the same building and is a good place to do work. - Pet Run: This is a secure walkway where you can walk your dog. A great idea in concept but I generally walk around the block to the grass. - Laundry: 1 washer/ 1 dryer on every floor. Seems like not enough but I've only occasionally run into a situation where I had to borrow another floor's. Laundry rooms are relatively clean (as far as laundry rooms go anyway). - Common gathering areas: Firepit, common area tables and penthouse grills are all well maintained. These areas don't seem to get much use. While they are nice to have, I think it's probably because it's a bit awkward to have a gathering or to hang out in the middle of the common where you are in view of basically everyone else that lives in the complex (unless you're into that sort of thing). The penthouse grill area is more private which is nice, but again, I've never seen a gathering up there. - Wifi in lobby/gym: This seems a little spotty, but there's general cell service in the area. Staff: Julie the Property Manager and Stephanie the Assistant Community Manager are definitely a huge plus for this place. Both of them are very responsive to concerns and will go out of their way to take care of issues. They have responded to all of our maintenance requests within 24 hours. They even move all of the packages into the locked office before they leave for the weekend and put them back out in front of your mailbox to minimize the chance of theft. Residents: Generally young professionals who keep to themselves, very dog friendly.
