I want to love this place, but I'm struggling. This was not my first time here. They have a ~10 different types of bagels. I chose the sesame, toasted with butter & a vanilla bean latte to-go. I waited about 5 minutes for my order, which was pretty quick. I walked back to my car and hit the road. When I unwrapped my bagel I could have kicked myself for not looking at it in the restaurant. It was barely toasted, like warm with no 'toasted' coloring. The bagel was completely drenched with butter. The paper was dripping with butter, the bagel was soaked. Like zero dry spot in the bagel, the butter was soaked through everything! A place that specializes in bagels should know that butter is NOT like cream cheese, less is more. There was zero chance I could eat the bagel. I even tried squeezing out some of the butter with a napkin. The whole thing was a complete mess - I was covered in butter. The latte was more like milk and vanilla. There was very little taste of espresso. So disappointing - $10 down the drain and I wasn't able to enjoy either. read more

Some of the best bagels I have ever tasted, and I've sampled many from all over and will journey miles out of my way for the truly best (which now includes Spread). I stumbled upon them purely by chance - we were getting an early morning start on a road trip after an overnight stop in Savannah and thought we'd grab a couple bagels before heading out. 15 miles later and one bite into the bagel, I realized that one bagel each was a big mistake. Coming back, even though we weren't staying in Savannah, we detoured 20 miles and this time got a whole bag to go. Spread Bagelry does Montreal style and frankly, I think they're better than some of the ones I've had in Montreal. Their plain bagel is excellent, but their rosemary-olive oil is outstanding, balanced between subtle and flavorful. And yet, as good as their bagels are, their service is equally great. Madison and the rest of the crew made our pitstop extra special. They picked out an assortment of bagels for us to go with the rosemary and plain we ordered. Can't wait to get more next time we're anywhere near Savannah. read more

Cool concept. Staff could be a little more pleasant. This is a city that thrives on tourism, so when they are busy...I get it; however, when there is no one in there, at least act like you enjoy the place you work. It's not New York, so there's really no excuse. Now to the cream cheese on a bagel, whoever the supplier is....must love to get an order from Spread. 3/4 of what is applied gets scraped off. Spread is about as good as bagels are you're going to find in Savannah, we don't have a lot of options however Spread gives you plenty to choose from! Huge menu and bagel selection. It's pretty fun picking out the different types of bagels with their variety. Large selection of cream cheeses as well. What sets them apart is the sandwich options they provide! All the way from plain/basic breakfast sandwiches to some very tasty creations. Some to choice from is the Carnegie and the Reuben bagel sandwich. Both excellent. Only thing I can comment on is they're more expensive then you would think for the types of sandwiches offered but with not many places to choose from in Savannah you can't really complain too much. the food and drinks were amazing, but the order yall pour the lattes makes all the syrup pool at the bottom. pour the milk in the cup after the ice, mix the syrup in with the espresso, and then pour the espresso in. gabby was great though. amazing service and atmosphere. read more

Very busy, had to wait a few minutes in line but overall the service was fast. Wish there were i few more tables, or maybe some seating on the sidewalk outside. Bagels came out warm and delicious, caramel coffee was good but nothing special. We parked in the parking garage which is a couple blocks over, didn't see any parking spots closer. This was my second visit to Spread Bagelry. Both times I ordered a plain bagel, well toasted with butter. The first time the toaster was out of commission so they toasted the bagel on the flat top which resulted in a soggy bagel that tasted of eggs and whatever else they cooked on it. I ate half the bagel and threw the other half away. I went in today and did a repeat order. Plain, well toasted with butter. I received a bagel literally swimming in butter. The butter soaked through the wrapper and then the bag. I attempted to soak up the excess butter from the bagel with paper towels but gave up. I started to gag due to the amount of butter and wound up throwing half a bagel away, again. Ugh.... I so wanted to like this place since i tend to crave bagels. The bagels themselves are okay. I prefer a NY bagel. I will give them another try for lunch. They do have bagel sandwiches that sound awesome. You will walk in to a very bright and clean establishment, it's large and has a nice set up with nice decor. Service is very fast. In and out in 5 minutes or less. read more

Bagels and spreads are very good, however, don't waste your money on espresso. Only 1 size which seemed a bit small, $6 and at least 1/3 of my latte was foam. Had I ordered a cappuccino I would have expected foam but definitely disappointed in the latte. read more

I would give this hidden gem 11 out of 10 if it was a thing. We discovered this bagel heaven two visits ago and it's a must stop now every time we visit Savannah. Originally founded in Philly, they are not on busy Brpughton but they are bringing the brotherly vibes and bagels in Savannah! I love this place I think it has been so hard to find a good breakfast sandwich place and they did it. The selection is amazing there's like 30 different options and everything I've had has been good. Many other places go too crazy with the sandwiches making crazy concoctions and while there's a time and a place of you want just good normal bagel sandwiches this is the place to go!
