I can't say enough great things about this volleyball/basketball facility. From the moment you walk in, the staff greets you with genuine warmth and professionalism. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and creates such a positive environment for players and families. The cleanliness here is exceptional. The courts, restrooms, and viewing areas are always spotless and well-maintained. You can tell the staff takes real pride in keeping the facility in top shape, and it makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable. The design SUCKS. As a parent of a kid in a league who has to go here twice a week, the worst thing about the place is the center hall for onlookers. On top of the constant ambient noise that the design does nothing to mitigate, there is music playing from several small speakers in the ceiling at a volume so low that it's impossible to detect what the song is but high enough to hear unbearable jangly metallic noise. This facility plays host for our regional tournaments. We've been lucky with the parking angels and access in and out of the facility is straightforward. Teams typically set up camp alongside of the building or the rock-covered area & host their team snacks. They do have a mini store inside that serves up some decent items ranging from pizza, pretzels, and drinks. No soda or sugar-based drinks (Gatorade Zero) so you have to appreciate that for the players. For me, I was needing a Soda or Gatorade loaded with sugar!!!! When you're there for 4-6 hours, you need a boost. We've been 3 times this season and the staff has been easy and consistent. This last time around they had subway sandwiches delivered and sold which seemed to be a hit for many of the players still hungry. Bathrooms are located in the rear and depending on the event, expect a bit of a line (especially for the girls when it's Girls Volleyball). The bathrooms are kept clean and I appreciate all the soap dispensers working & the water being hot. Overall the facility has done a good job hosting our events. read more

Clean bathrooms and general lobby area, attentive and friendly staff. Not too large but not too small. They have a good assortment at their snack bar and we saw an acai bowl vendor stop in too. The facility is very hot. With the temperatures outside being in the low 60s, I can't imagine what it'll be like in the warmer months. A girl on another team got so hot that she got sick on the court. The cleanup delayed the games significantly that our team didn't finish their last set until nearly 11PM. P-L-E-N-T-Y of parking, just make sure not park on the street. You'll get a ticket or one of the other businesses will tow you. This isn't just a warning you hear at the beginning of war tournament wave, we saw several cars getting tickets. And truly, there is a ton of parking. Just a short 5-7 minute walk. Lots of shade up front for Team Camps but only enough room for about 6 camps. There is room on the other side of the front parking lot, just be sure to bring your canopy tents. read more

Courts are great, great quality. Bleachers are a nightmare, theres no space for both teams to seat, they all have to seat together mixed up and then parents from different teams end up arguing. The lobby is a biggest nightmare, they should remove all tables for big tournaments. The lobby area isn't big enough for the capacity of people in there, you have people sitting on the floors because you cant fit. The bathrooms look old, how is this possible? Its a new facility. The staff is amazing! Engaging and making sure everything is clean and set, they did their best. Conssesion people was also awesome, they did a great job considering their supplier just went on strike. read more

Called for info on having my son do open basketball and the guy who answered was very rude on every response to my questions as if I was wasting his precious time on a conversation that lasted 1 minute. I told him thank you and he hung up. Man, people just have no customer service etiquette anymore. This guy is apparently management and he's treating people like idiots? This is a world class sports facility! Clean, well run and very professionally managed. What was really surprising is the state of the art camera system they have for live streaming all the games. Best of all it is free!!! You do have to watch the sponsors commercials on your game video, but it is only 30 second for the pre-roll and it's just at the beginning . Not like YouTube. My daughter's volleyball team played in a tournament at Sporting Chance yesterday. The facility was run very professionally. I saw staff members changing garbage liners, maintaining the bathrooms, and patrolling the camps and parking lot. The staff was friendly and helpful. Sporting Chance's setup for volleyball tournaments is optimal. There is ample space between courts. There is plenty of seating for spectators. They had benches along the walls and mini-bleachers along the baseline. They had the best scoreboards. They were well placed. You can see the score from anywhere you sit. They also have a pretty good snack bar. My daughter's team plays out of the East Valley, but I would 100% be up to driving to Tucson for every tournament if they were held at Sporting Chance. read more

Horrible professionalism and service! I am an Athletic Director in the area and was using this facility. The Manager made mistakes overbooking us and couldn't own up to them. In response he was rude and disrespectful to me and my school community. We will NEVER use this facility again. I had a conversation with the manger over the phone and his response to my concerns was "I DON'T CARE". Just because you work in an area for 30+ years doesn't mean you can get away for being a disrespectful individual. Your number #1 job is to provide customer service. You failed our school! read more

I've been a member of The Sporting Chance Center for over 2 years now. By far this place is the most cleanest, nicest sports complex in Tucson to play some good indoor basketball! On top of that, the staff is super nice and is always great to work with! Tom Carle can be strict at times but he's honest, straight forward, fair and accountable! I'd chose that over some of these other locations I've been to since having a club program for over 2.5 years. Kudos to you Tom & Sarah for running a great clean organized indoor sports complex! The facilities itself are clean and professional. The manager is the issue. He is extremely rude, unkind and unprofessional. They do not allow outside food or drink, which I understand and respect. However, my 6 year old daughter brought her empty cup to fill up with water as she was very thirsty. The manager all but ran my family down asking us to leave the cup- we explained she needed water and was very thirsty. He said he understood but he did not care and she needed to leave the cup. He was incredibly rude in tone and pitch, so much so that my daughter started crying thinking she had done something wrong. I spent the next 5 minutes consoling her and sitting by the water fountain. Thanks, dude, control issues much? Calm down- let's not make children cry. There is a place for customer service and this place does not have it. At least upon leaving several patrons apologized to us for his behavior. read more

Arenas clean, court was shiney and polished, looked even, decent set up on the bleachers for viewing, score board working fine, they have snacks available for purchase but seem a little strict on bringing in food/ drink by the sign posted (See photo ). Young people are working the counter but I didn't need to interact with them so no problems there. Saw a middle age manager running around. Bathrooms in decent shape. Overall seems like a good place to host team games. read more

Hubby's bball tourney's held here every tues. The place is fairly new and the facility is very clean and inviting. The only issue i have with them is brought upon my son, he waited a good while to get help cause the people working the desk was busy talking to girls and totally ignored him. But other than that though the only time i really go here is to cheer on my hubby hence the 4stars i gave them, but i do enjoy this place. read more

You walk into the place. It seems deceivingly too good to be true. That's because it is. It's a business that's ran by teenagers and a coward owner. I went there for an adult basketball league, I misbehaved, got ejected. I asked to speak with TOM CARLE the manager/owner/Roger Goodell like figure... he refused to speak with me face to face. I was told to have contact through email. Hmmmm. I went in for a visit the next few days, still wouldn't speak to me face to face. In the emails, he lied about what happened and made false claims. It's incredible that I pay 500$ and don't get treated justly. His staff members (teenagers at the front desk)told me lies and told me I could stay in the building, then I was punished for not leaving the building. Hmmm... Regardless of the fact! TOM CARLE acted very poorly, and cowardly, the way he acts makes perfect sense on reflection of how his facility is ran. I've seen the teenagers who work there and the upper management belittle and speak poorly about the volleyball girls/parents who come in. This is certainly not a place my child will ever come. This employees look at this as a social hour they get paid for, and I ain't ever seen TOM CARLE do anything but HIDE in his office. This review is based on the rude interaction with the owner- Tom (as he stated to us) which I came to find out is not the owner just someone supervising at this time! Our kids utilize this facility for their basketball games and the court that they were scheduled for was still in use and so a court that was not being utilized we had just 3 of our 10 year old kids using (just shooting a basketball on a non lit basketball court). And tom came and kicked them off and then gave us attitude when we just asked if we could use. Then he continued to inform me thy his staff could use to his discretion! To quote him "my courts my rules"! When we asked why he was not in forcing it for everyone he stated "those other people are my staff!" Is this man serious! First off no need to be rude no need to be crass! Then to make things worst I simply asked where court 1 was and proceeded to snap back an state "we don't number our courts" I just needed clarification since our league stated court 1! So I decided to ask for the manager and then I have now been informed that he isn't the owner just the manager! Way to represent! Letting me know we that we paid for the other court that was in use - so this location is a place of profit not for the children! read more

My kids have practiced there and occasionally have league games there. Facility is pretty good for Tucson. Floors have dead spots and the floors literally move, like waves, when jumped on. The young staff are pretty friendly and helpful. However, the manager is one of the most condescending, unethical men I have ever met. During one of their tournaments (Sporting Chance's and not a local club) there were issues with teams playing kids in the wrong divisions. Tom's response, " Not my problem. They paid. Let the coaches deal with it." This came from the "manager's" mouth who is hosting/running the tournament. The only way I can imagine this man getting this job is by being the moranic, screw up brother/in-law of the owner. I can't imagine this guy being employed in any "real world" job. This place would get four/five stars if they got a different Manager who actually cared about the job. read more

If I could give it zero stars at this moment I would. Never had an issue with this place before today. They started a new basketball league here (one that use to be at greenfield school) that my husband was invited to play in by a friend. Upon arriving he was approached by the man who ran the league (old out of shape white man). He started to yell and cuss at my husband telling him he isn't allowed to play and to get out and not come back. (We've had a previous issue with this man) like most games the guys get into it and can get a little heated sometimes. This man stands on one end of the court and hardly moves yet tries to make calls from the opposite end. As a by stander it frustrates me so I can imagine how the players feel. To allow this man to act so unprofessional and even approach anyone in this manner is uncalled for. He needs to be fired. He cannot walk the court or even handle his own temper. I hope the sporting chance can recognize that and get this man out before he makes a bad name for their business. read more

I wanted to post my disappointment in the Sporting Chance organization. Though they were originally promoted as a place for the children I don't see any organized affordable ongoing events or leagues established by this organization. Though my children appreciate the opportunity for open play it would nice to have affordable structured leagues available for the children of this neighborhood. This facility is located in a low income area and was from my understanding created by donations and county funds yet I'm concerned about the amount that is actually going back to the community. I was told rates to utilize the courts at times other that open play start at $25 an hour. Though this may seem affordable to some this would be a hardship for many children in this area. It is a good thing we still have public parks at least, too bad it is 100+ degrees. I was also concerned that there is a gentleman that works at the Sporting Chance who solicits himself as the owner, though this is supposed to be a not for profit . I am confused at what my county tax dollars is paying for, someone's business or a facility for the children of the neighborhood. read more
