    Splashpad

Splashpad is great for little ones! There are a few picnic tables near by in the shade. . You also have access to the swimming pool and slide (if kids are tall enough). Playground is near by and has alot of shade!

Diving area with water jets spraying. Beautiful view of the mountains!

Visited the aquatic center on Sunday, and was happy to find out that the entrance fee was only $5 per family. Very affordable! The center is very spacious, with two separate pools, a splash pad, and a small eating area. The largest pool is set up for adult swimming, and it also has several diving boards at the far end. The smaller pool has a "play" area, as well as swimming lanes. Our visit was enjoyable, but I was disappointed in available seating around the pools, as well as in available shady areas to sit in. There are some chairs, as well as a couple pop-up canopies, but these were already taken when we arrived. I was also disappointed in the cleanliness of the smaller pool. While the large pool was absolutely sparkling and debris-free, the small pool was full of dead bugs and bug parts. I saw one employee skimming for a few minutes, but it would take an army of people skimming for several hours to get that pool clean. Gross! So, all in all it was a fairly good experience. Don't think I'd pay the big bucks to swim in "buggy" water, but for five bucks I guess it's okay.

Was in town for a few days and dropped in here for a lap swim. $5 for an hour. the pool is beautiful, only outdone by the mountains in the background. easy to use reservation system and the staff was super friendly. the locals were friendly and chatty too [most swimmers are]. the locker rooms are dated and a little dirty, but for $5 I didn't care.

Came here for a b day party second time here for me! It's a neat little park have a larger lap pool, diving boards and a smaller splash bad and a slide. The have a smaller room that you can rent nothing special or fancy a room 4 walls and a few tables but it's in the a/c out of the heat ! So that's nice ! I'm giving the place 4 stars because the employees they were just plain rude and then one of the employees after speaking to me walked over to another employee (I'm assuming talking about me and she then gave me the death glare) other than that the place was fantastic! But the employees shouldn't be so rude !

The Oro Valley Aquatic Center is a great place to go for some alone time (swim laps) or family fun. We have been coming to the pool for some time because my are on a swim team. The pool is always clean and the staff is polite. There is a snack bar which they will open if you ask if there isn't an attendant and a water slide too. As an added bonus, the restrooms are always clean too. :)

We came for the all-season splash pad but the best part was the playground! My kids wouldn't leave. What a beautiful facility.

Great pool but they don't offer adult lap swimming after 4 pm. Which sort of defeats the purpose of a public pool

When I inquired about it reopening I was told it wasn't technically closed and we could swim at our own risk which I did. This morning I called a little before 9 am and spoke to Miranda D and asked if the pool was open and if any classes were going on. She told me there was an aqua fit class at 9 but after that it would be open for lap swimming. I arrived around 10:45 and a man was in the pool swimming laps. Right after I got in Miranda entered the pool area and asked me to get out. I asked why and she claimed she didn't like the look of the pool. I told her about the interaction two days ago and asked if we could swim at our own risk or if I had to get out. She replied "Well I'm not going to drag you out." At that point I replied "Okay I'll respect that." And I got out of the pool. Note that there was no signage about the pool being closed and Miranda herself had confirmed via phone an hour earlier that the pool was open. I proceeded to walk out a door that had been propped for the past 3 days with a fan that people have been going in and out of. She waited until I got into the doorway and then yelled across the pool "You can't go out that door." At that point I was already out and on the other side. She proceeded to chase after me screaming "What is your name. I will revoke your membership right now. What is your name." I was stunned. I went to the desk to speak to a manager who I knew and I expressed concern that she was confrontational, aggressive and threatening. She denied that yelling at me saying she would revoke my membership was a threat. At no point did I argue with her, raise my voice or otherwise engage with her in a way that could be considered disrespectful. In fact, I had fully complied respectfully with all she had asked and was leaving. It was such a benign situation that I was truly stunned at the unprofessionalism displayed. I asked for her supervisors name and she provided the name Alex Luna. She contacted him in my presence to let him know I would reach out. I've attempted to do so and so far I've received no response. I then reached out to James Tyree, who I figured out is both Miranda and Alex's supervisor, and have not received a call back either. I am concerned that this level of unprofessionalism was exhibited. And even when attempting to talk to her she could have apologized at that point for her reaction but instead dug her heels in. I think the way she engaged was entirely inappropriate and demonstrates a lack of professionalism and maturity that is required for the position she is fulfilling. If that is how she engaged with customers in a customer service position it is alarming. No one deserves to be yelled at and treated with the level of disrespect I was subjected to when I ultimately willingly complied with exiting the pool through an open door that multiple people had gone in and out of.

Ive never complained on this app ever, but it's disgusting how much the employees dont care about their gym's hygiene. The young janitor is great, but thats not his cleaning area according to management, their night janitor is not being properly informed. Its been 2 months now before I decided to post this as its only gotten worse. I discovered the Tucson Jewish Community Center after they hosted the Hot Cocoa Run 5K (hands down one of the funnest, most vendor-packed races I've ever done ), and let me tell you--walking into the JCC feels like stepping into a whole other world. This place is HUGE and has everything. They gifted a week pass in our swag bags from 5k and I fully leaned in--and I'm so glad I did. First off, the community + programming here is next level. I got to participate in pottery and ceramics classes (SO fun and surprisingly legit), and I love that they partner with local creatives and groups. It gives the whole place a collab, community-driven feel that I'm always looking for. On the fitness side--they're not playing around. I took multiple classes, and their cycle class (aka performance ride ) was actually really solid. Great energy, great programming. I also hit a strength-based class that delivered, and the gym floor itself is super clean, spacious, and not overcrowded (major win). The crowd is also refreshingly diverse in age, which I loved--it truly feels inclusive. And can we talk about the Cafe at the J... because YES. Tons of vegan options , actually flavorful, and super affordable. Not your typical "gym cafe" situation at all. Beyond that, this place is basically a mini campus--tennis, pools, art spaces, events, rentals, and even traditional Jewish baked goods (fresh bread, hello ). They also host a TON of events--like so many it's hard to keep up--so definitely check their calendar because there's always something happening. Overall, I'd absolutely go back. Whether you're going for fitness, arts, community events, or just to explore something new in Tucson--this place is a whole experience.

Most of the year, the river bed is dry and filled with scrub brush common in the Sonoran desert, but occasionally in the spring when the snow melts in the mountains, or during the summer monsoon season, the river will completely fill and the water will rage. Some have even been known to try riding a raft when the water reaches the banks. (FYI, don't do this! It isn't safe.) There are several city parks like Brandi Fenton where you can park and start your journey. Best to look at maps online to find the closest entry point and parking location convenient to you; as the park does cross over a lot of streets. In the distance, you will be able to enjoy the view of Mt. Lemmon and the rest of the Santa Catalina mountain range as it turns different hues of pink, red, orange, brown depending on the time of day you come. Sunrise in the summer months and sunset in the winter are great times to go in order to stay comfortable temperature wise.
