Porsche Boxster Spyder in for an oil change
Jonathan S.

I have taken my Porsche in for routine maintenance three times at Sportech and each time has been a great experience. They have taken great care of my car each visit. Services are performed promptly and I'm in and out very quickly. Ryan and Erik are very friendly and knowledgeable. Always open to chatting about cars or answering questions. Highly recommended!

Receipt of Services charged!

Wow, emotional distress? Asking full refund? This is in response to Mr Ryan, now you're making stuff up just to save face from a bad review. I have not interacted with this owner whatsoever. All I wanted was to be fairly compensated instead I get negotiations for refund of additional 400 on top of the 200 credit they gave me. It still doesn't compensate the 1000.00 markup of labor they charged me on oil and filter alone, not included are the parts? Now owner is upset because Bureau of Auto Repair (BAR) is investing this matter. This complaint was made so that other customers don't get victimized by this shop. To future customers, please ask how much services before having them work on your car.

Although we have a regular Porsche mechanic for the cars we sell, recently we needed to have a car serviced out in the Campbell area. This Porsche supposedly had new crankshaft bearings installed but the vehicle still did not run correctly. Mark and his crew quickly identified that the bearings were of low quality as he was very experienced on the matter. They located the proper bearings and repaired it in a short time. To this we are very grateful as the vehicle was pretty much already sold and the customer was getting impaitient. Thank you Mark for the excellent service.

We were referred to Campbell Motor Center, and the experience exceeded expectations from start to finish. On a Thursday evening, we spoke with Anthony, who went out of his way to get us scheduled for the very next morning. That alone was impressive, considering the dealership couldn't get us in anytime soon. By Friday, the car was in, serviced, and completely finished within about four hours. The pricing was about one-third of what Mercedes-Benz of Stevens Creek quoted us, without sacrificing quality or professionalism. What really stood out was the level of service. Anthony handled everything personally, from communication to updates. Every question we had was answered clearly, and we always knew what was going on with the car. No pressure, no upselling, just honest and efficient service. With over 30 years of experience in customer service and running a business myself, I don't give this kind of feedback lightly. This is an A++ operation. Going forward, every vehicle we own outside of dealership warranty will be serviced here. Highly recommend. Frank Saunders

The third service was a wheel alignment and rear brake rotor/pad replacement done for a pretty penny. Having no other bid I believe the Subaru Dealer would have charged even more. This place is a class act. They are polite and professional, and even offer access to a web site showing the car being serviced in real time! The phone charger cables in the waiting area are a good example Although probably not cheapest option I think we got more than we spent. All that said, the self-praising song repeated while on hold could serve as an interrogation technique! We will continue being customers but will put the phone on low volume speaker

This place had a different name before the pandemic (maybe longer ago). I went there one time when…read moreit had that name that included the word "Toyota" in it. I brought my car there for some kind of service, I don't remember what. I didn't go back there because of the prices. Years later, I found a mechanic that I like, but that mechanic is 7 miles from me, so I had been going to different places for oil changes and going to the mechanic for repairs. Long story short, my oil change light came on and I wasn't able to go to my regular oil change place due to an unscheduled closure. I pulled over and looked at reviews. This shop's sister shop had a five-star review and was pretty close to where I was. They had no available appointments, but the manager directed me to this one, which I was able to get an appointment the next day. The clerk told me the oil change also included an inspection. About an hour later, I get a text wanting approval for another $2,200. I knew that my mechanic would charge just over half for the brakes alone, so I declined the other services. That's where it got crazy. I pick my car, and the check engine light and two other lights were on. They hadn't been on when I dropped off the car. When I called it in, the mechanic (or clerk, I'm not sure which) kept repeating "You declined additional services." Now, I'm old enough and competent enough to have changed my oil and even replaced the spark plugs and cables on cars back in the day, so I knew there was absolutely no reason at all that an oil change would cause the check engine light to go on. Essentially, they introduced a problem that didn't exist when I brought it in. So, I called my mechanic and asked whether there might be a reason for the light to have been triggered. He said that it could be triggered if the hoses are not reconnected when they inspect the air filters. That, in fact, was the problem. This leaves me with two possible outcomes, neither of which is good: either they deliberately left the hoses disconnected so that I'd panic and buy the other services or they were careless. I made an appointment with my mechanic, who looked over Stress Free's estimate and then inspected my car. His initial comment was "These guys are expensive as hell," and pointed out one place where Stress Free was going to charge me for labour for a service that would have been part of another of the services. Long story short, I'm having the repair done by my mechanic for less than $1,000.

From the moment I pulled in, the entire team was friendly, professional, and on point--like a pit crew that actually enjoys what they do. Huge shoutout to Tarnell Pollard, who goes above and beyond to make sure your vehicle is set up for long-term success. I half expected him to tell my car to "live its best life" before sending me on my way. Also want to recognize Eric, Joseph, and Alex, who rounded out the rest of the team that day. Everyone worked together seamlessly, stayed positive, and made the whole experience quick, smooth, and honestly enjoyable--which is not something you usually say about an oil change. Another successful trip to Oilstop. Professional service, great vibes, and a crew that clearly takes pride in their work. I'll definitely be back.
