DO NOT GO HERE. I brought my car in after the Service Engine Soon light came on, thinking this place was trustworthy based on reviews -but I was so wrong. I met Tim, who supposedly worked on my car. The day after, he calls me with a confusing explanation of what was wrong and asks if I want the details or just the cost. I said cost. He quotes $1,100, and then hands me an invoice for $1,968.35 when the car was "ready." WHAT?! I never approved or consented to any extra work. He ordered parts and fixed things without asking me first, which i'm pretty sure is illegal. I paid, not realizing what a trap this was. Two days later, the Service Engine Light comes back on... I get my dad involved and he talks to Tim about the unauthorized work. He gives a partial refund (around $600) and agrees to "look at it" again. He does a quick fix, I get the car back, and two days later, the light is on again!!! How hard is it. We take it to AutoZone - turns out there is a problem with the part HE installed. When my dad tries calling, it goes straight to voicemail. When he finally walks into the shop, Tim is defensive, rude, and insulting, saying things like "I didn't cause this problem," "I'm done with you," and "get out of my office." He said he has no time to look at the car again refusing to fix his work. All we wanted was for our car to be fixed once and for all after paying over a thousand dollars. I was scammed, lied to, and taken advantage of as a woman. DO NOT go here unless you want stress, dishonesty, and a completely unresolved car problem. Absolute nightmare! read more

Definitely one of the few and rare times (or perhaps the only time) where I actually walked away happy from receiving service on my car! We contacted Tim an hour before close on a Saturday and asked if we could bring our car in, knowing that we would need to wait for a tow truck to come in. He had no problem with it and ultimately stayed and spoke to us for a bit about his initial analysis of the damage and the work that needed to be done before officially closing up shop for the day. He tested it and realized that what they did worked by chance. Brought my car to Tim after having it at another shop and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with my car. I get myself a tow truck to Tim and he diagnosed and fixed my problem in a matter of 15 min. He also told me it was no charge and to enjoy. I couldn't leave without leaving some money unlike the other auto repair shop he knew what was wrong and it didn't seem to be a big deal, the other auto repair shop gave me suggestions on what they thought it was and they were completely off. Trustworthy. Good at communicating in a timely manner. Great at diagnosing what's wrong when other mechanics fail to diagnose correctly. It's so hard to find a trustworthy mechanic. I've had a few mechanics over the years that I kinda trusted do a good job but they would charge me so much. I never get that feeling with Tim. I've always felt like he charges a fair price and isn't ripping me off. He's also very clear about total cost before starting and never hits you with any surprises. A few years ago another mechanic told me I needed a new alternator after going through 2 new batteries over the course of a few months. I had a feeling it wasn't the battery or alternator. Kim is a miracle worker, and...he's honest! I was low on funds and my transmission went out on my 03 Honda Accord. I'm in east bay, and towed car to transmission place who, after 2 days, quoted $2,000 minimum. My brother referred me to Kim at White Oaks in Campbell. So I towed it down there. I have 200,000 miles on car. He assessed, gave me estimate for a refurbished transmission which I could afford and did the work. I needed a few other things which he did. He also, at no charge, pulled a big dent out of drivers side door and replaced a headlight covering. He said my car will last til 300,000 cuz he has one too!
