After our tastings, they picked up the bikes, and we Ubered back to our car. The ride itself was easy, especially on the e-bikes. But after two wine tastings and 98-degree temperatures, having the bikes picked up was definitely a wise decision! We ended our day refreshed, happy, and very glad we chose this bike company. Pay attention. 1. Sunblock. A lot and often. The water reflects the sun. Respect it ! It was 101 and I was comfy and am not burned. 2. West water wicking UV clothes. Stay cool. Stay protected. Stay comfy. See reason above. 3. Hydrate. Open cheap water bottles sip a bit and then recap and freeze 3-4 bottles for each person. Then put 3-4 in cold water. Lotsa water !! No alcohol. Use water bottles and even ice tea bottles pre frozen (sip some so they don't explode in your freezer. ) instead of ice to keep your cooler semi dry. Then. Zip lock bag your snacks. Keep as much as you can in a nice zippered cooler. 4. Dry bag. Use it. But use ziplock bags too. It is an adventure. You may fall in. You may flip. Be water and valuables aware. Use the trash bags too. Don't be nasty. 5. Be prepared for a tense learning curve and agree to laugh rather than bicker while learning. It's not impossible. I'm 45 and as fat and out of shape as I've ever been and I survived. 6. Advil half way through. lol. Soar. Sore. But if you're smart. Not broken.

Then was lectured about not using the test ride as a way to use the bike as a free day rental. The gentleman had an obstructionist attitude, throwing obstacles in the way of my simple goal of seeing what bike size best fit me. I've never been treated so poorly by a business. After suffering this, I stopped everything. Canceled the test ride. Put down the tail bag purchase. I told the 2 employees what I saw happening and how I wasn't going to tolerate it. While there is much to see and do in Napa, this experience at the end of our trip was a definite highlight.

They also rent eBikes here and have suggestions for nice country paths to take originating from their shop, up to varies wineries. I plan on taking my new bike on some of these paths sometime. Revel is not just a bike shop but they also do repairs and tune ups, and sell various accessories such as locks and Camelback Podium water bottles, etc. They're friendly and accommodating here and I dig the location in The Barlow shopping district, which is really nice.

They had a great selection of other shoes too. The people who worked here were really kind and helpful. There was a long line to checkout, but some of the sales associate would come to the next person in line to check them out with credit card. You aren't saving TONS of money, but you can find a nice deal for Nikes. This is the best one I've visited.
