I HIGHLY recommend GA. They were so helpful as I had called them to inquire about e-bikes and I wasn't sure if we would do it. I rented a e-bike for an afternoon of riding and the experience was great. Signing up to rent and reserve the bike was quick and simple; I signed all the relevant paperwork in advance. When I showed up at the store, the bike was prepped and ready to go. I had an issue with the bike (not the store's fault) and they quickly brought a replacement bike out to me in the middle of my ride. They were pleasant, easy to deal with and efficient the whole way through. By the way - the ride itself was fantastic. I took a 40-mile loop following a very popular route that was recommended by several sources I consulted. Low traffic, great scenery -- a fun way to spend the afternoon. read more

We rented e-bikes from Randy on our recent trip up to Healdsburg. My husband called close to the 4th of July holiday weekend, very close to closing time, to see if they had bikes available to rent, not really expecting anyone to pick up, but Randy did! He was very pleasant and explained the rental procedure to my husband. Our bikes were set up and ready for us on the day of our rental. They gave us some suggested bike routes, based on our biking experience & they suggested some vineyard we may stop by at without a reservation. 2nd time I've rented a bike from them while in town. They really are super friendly and have the best maintained bikes (and new!) that I've ridden worldwide while renting bikes. They're fancy Specialized bikes - they don't skimp out. They're quick to offer suggestions on local trails and roads to bike or choose your own adventure. Helmet, bike light included plus a front pouch on the bike to fit a water bottle and belongings. Definitely a must to bike some vineyards (be careful too where you bike, as many vineyards will kick you out! LOL). read more

My wife and I (ages 39) signed up for the Russian River Peddle and Paddle tour while we were in town for a wedding in mid-August 2022. We were not disappointed! Our adventure started out in a cool, beautiful California Redwood grove. Raphael, our guide, was knowledgeable about locals sights, wineries, and the local ecosystems. We pedaled on a road for about half a mile through a green and lush forest, and when we got to the bottom of the hill, it opened up into a BEAUTIFUL warm valley of vineyards. It was a little warm at this point, but the wind from the bicycles and our athletic clothing kept us nice and comfortable. We stopped at the Gracianna winery for a tasting, plus short walk through their vineyards, then headed back to the Redwood grove (starting point) for a delicious lunch that Raphael had gone ahead and set up for us in the shade of the Redwoods. We then changed in to our sandals and bathing suits for the kayak portion of the tour (we kept these in our backpack, but you could easily keep them in your car at the parking lot) and started our Russian River tour. We saw beautiful ducks, a hawk, and tons of fish, plus all the beautiful flora along the way. We only got warm a couple times despite the 90 degree weather, because you could easily just splash some cool water on you. We did swim twice to REALLY cool off (the water felt around the 70s) and after soaking for a minute or two, my body felt great again to continue without being uncomfortable at all. Raphael was also able to take many photos along the way, both with his phone and with ours, and made a great record of our trip without us having to worry about it. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to bike/taste/kayak in the Napa or Russian River Valley's (it was maybe a 45 min drive from our Airbnb in Napa).Au read more

This was a first rate operation that supplied EVERYTHING needed to enjoy a bike ride through the beautiful Dry Creek Valley--gloves, seat cushions, helmets, snacks and filled water bottles. The hubby and I rode through Healdsburg on the Sip 'n Cycle with Randy as our guide. Our plane was an hour late, but thankfully Randy patiently waited, greeted us upon arrival and adjusted schedule and stops to accommodate. Hybrid bikes are modern and nicely equipped, Kind bars and water to snack and hydrate. The scenery, sights, and landscape are breathtaking. We stopped at three wineries for tasting, sampled bold reds. We enjoyed a filling and healthy picnic lunch of cheese, meats, fruits, bread, hummus, and dessert under a lush tree with a sampling of wine at Quivira. This was such a great experience! We live 1 hour away but wanted a fun escape for the day and the Sip N Cycle tour was fabulous! Our guide Tac was amazing and treated us so well with great stories and information about the Dry Creek Winery area as we cycled along and he served us a delicious lunch in a beautiful garden at one of the wineries. We rented e-bikes for a self-guided wine tour and it was amazing! The store is located right next to the bike path, they provide you with a super helpful map and route suggestions. To expedite your service, I recommend you look out for their email with the forms you'll need to complete when picking up the bike. We completed those online the day before our trip and loved being able to just walk in and get our bikes, the process was so smooth. They also have a bathroom on-site which is helpful. read more

The best tour I've ever gone. Celebrated my husband's and i 9th year wedding anniversary. Oh! Don was an amazing kayaking tour guide!!! And we didnt get bored nor felt uneasy. We had so much fun with the rapids, thou i fell on the 3rd one i guess, and swam for a bit. Also, we experienced listening to the animals around us and saw a few; turtles,birds, little (babies) fishes. It was just peaceful and the perfect for resetting after having along week. Then, our lunch was great i mean i love that basil lemon pasta we had(i actually bought one at trader joes) and its simple yes, but having that atmosphere and vibe was just something everyone should have. My Wife and signed up for the Luxury weekend with Getaway adventures. We flew into Oakland rented a car for an 1 1/2 hr drive to Calistoga and wine country. Our guide Dave was waiting for us at the hotel. He took us to lunch while our bags were taken up to our room for us. During a quick lunch we discussed our expectations for the day and weekend. After lunch we change and headed out for our first ride and a little tasting. Dave Let us pick the pace and distance of our ride. We chose the road bikes to be able to cover the most ground in the shortest time. (we had never been to the area and wanted to see as much as we could) The bikes were great Specialized Allez both were like new. After Spending day one in the Napa Valley we met Dave in Healdsburg in Sonoma County for day two. Started the day with a tour of the Dry Creek area. Being on the bikes we got to see and taste at some great boutique/family wineries on the small quiet back roads that the limos and buses never see. After a great lunch prepared by Dave, at a small picnic area with a sweeping view. We loaded the bikes on the van for a short drive over the hill to Alexander Valley for the afternoon ride back into Healdsburg. My wife got a massage when we got back to hotel before dinner. Day three we woke up to rain. Dave had a plan we rode in the van and followed the Russian River through a bunch of small town, out the Pacific were the sun was shining. We got to go for one last ride along HWY 1 into Bodega Bay. The trip exceeded our expectations and we will do it again for sure. read more

Randy helped our family plan our trip to Healdsburg from start to finish - somehow getting us hotel and dinner reservations we were unable to get on our own at the H2 hotel and Valette. Our family (kids over 21) had a fabulous time riding with Tack through the Dry Creek Valley - ebikes were awesome no shame :) and we were never once rushed or pushed to ride in dangerous streets or rigorous hills. Absolutely incredible experience! My sister and I booked the bike and wine tour as we wanted an active excursion for our mini vacation to wine country. It was our first time in Healdsburg and we enjoyed its small town feel. We found Getaway Adventures through a search and their service exceeded our expectations! Deb, our bike tour guide, was amazing! She knew a lot about wines in the region having grown up in Healdsburg so our tour was personal. She gave us information about the wines and the different vineyards, answered our questions about how wine is produced, and everything in between! She's an awesome tour guide, very knowledgeable, and you can tell she loves what she does and she loves the town. She's an avid bike rider and kept a good pace for our small group (total of four people). We visited three wineries total, had a delicious packed lunch (sandwich, salad, cookie, and banana), and rode about 12-13 miles (through back roads and hills!). Getaway adventures made for one of the best weekends in a LONG time! Our tour guides were awesome! We booked the 5 hour 8 mile kayak tour on the Russian river... The scenery was amazing traveling along the river we would occasionally see a few turtles and fish! This was our first time kayaking and we only flipped out once lol and it was during a pretty rough turn but our tour guide immediately came to help us out. We stopped for breaks a few times to stretch and snap some pics which was definitely needed. After the trip we hiked up a hill where they did a buffet style lunch from Leonardi's which was yummy/ the spread consisted of cold cuts cheese fresh fruit sliced bread a delicious green and potato salad- w beverages. They were even able to recommend a few wineries for the area for us to venture to on our on. A few tips- 1. STRETCH BEFORE 2. WEAR YOUR WATER SHOES AND WATER CLOTHES!!!! 3. My husband and I did the Healdsburg Sip n Cycle and had the best time! It is an 18 mile guided cruise around the dry creek valley. The area is so lovely you can imagine you are in the South of France. The guides are informative, fun, and even introduced us on how to wine taste properly. The tasting fees where all included in the package, which was $125 and well worth it. You get your bike rental and helmet for the day, wine tastings, lunch and water for the day. We were finished by about 3:30pm. We started in a group of 6 people and they do have a van that follows the group in case anyone gets tired or purchases wine. One lady hopped in the van after our first stop. At the end of the day you feel exhilarated by your accomplishment, awed from the views, and pleasantly buzzed from your tasting. *It is about an hour and a half drive from San Francisco. Getting out there is not the problem, it is easy to do it in the morning, but make sure to find your way home safely! We stayed up there and it was nice because we were a little sore after wards. This was a great experience and a lot of fun. I would actually like to give it 3.5 stars. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and witty, which added onto the whole experience of biking in the great weather and enjoying the lovely wine. He had connections with smaller wineries, which made the experience more personal. The only part I didn't like was being asked to tip the tour guide. When I booked on the phone the lady had said to tip if we enjoyed the tour and the guide was expecting a tip at the end of the day. We went to 4 wineries and at each one the guide was getting to taste with us. Along with drinking with us, the guide was given a nice bottle of wine by one of the vendors. It seems the guide is getting perks along the way...so why are we expected to tip??? read more
