Natasha has been my go to eyebrow threader for years. She always does a fantastic job, and now is adding to that by keeping everyone safe with extra precautions. Everyone is required to wear a mask, and natasha wears both a mask and shield. We all must wash hands right before entering, and I see her sanitizing and putting fresh sheets between visits. Natasha is a brow expert who does quick, painless threading, at a great deal. I first found Natasha through Yelp, after years of plucking my eyebrows and wanting to try threading. So, full disclosure: she's my first threading experience, and I don't have much else to compare her to. She was originally in downtown Mountain View, but has relocated to Old Middlefield in recent years. She immediately helped shape my brows, and always keeps them in check every 3-4 weeks. She's so good she even knows if I have had them plucked by someone else, or had to try to manage them myself in a pinch when I wouldn't have time to come visit her. Her online booking system is super easy, and even though it is a small business, she is set up to accept credit cards, and is always trying different customer loyalty programs. She is usually running on time, and might give you a call if you're running late yourself--so I would suggest doing the courtesy of trying to be there at your appointment time. Brow threading doesn't usually take more than 10 minutes, absolute max. Her spa is small, simple, not the most private, but for a quick threading job, it does the trick, and I don't mind at all. She is very down-to-earth, very honest about what's going on in her life, and definitely wears her heart on her sleeve. You're not going to get that big business corporate customer service feel here, the place is cute but casual--so if you don't mind a real person with a real life going on doing your brows and want a good deal, then Natasha is definitely your gal. read more

A little difficult to find but worth the $8! Straight and to the point took 8 minutes. Yea it's in a small room with a computer and desk but who cares for $8 and a job well done. Yea she asks you to pull parts of your face to help her get those tight spots but it's worth it. It doesent hurt until 10 minutes after you leave, that's when i felt the stinging but it was worth it! This was my first experience with threading. Yes, Natasha has 17 years of experience with threading, and she will also tell you there aren't a lot of good threaders out there. The 2 stars are for: 1) Her threading is pretty painless 2) She speaks perfect English - from my understanding, most threaders are not necessarily so fluent. I took off 3 stars for: 1) my left eyebrow is now higher than the right - as it was my first appointment, she said she would only "clean things up", but I know that beforehand my eyebrows started on the same horizontal plane and now they are not. I've been filling in the gap with eyebrow pencil. 2) there are 3 spots under my right eyebrow where I bled, and those spots are still apparent after 2 days - hopefully, they won't scar. 3) customer relations - I sat on a towel which was had something wet on it, which she explained as antiseptic and apologized for, but it was still a bit gross. I also didn't feel like she listened to me when I told her I didn't want anything too angled, but instead proceeded to tell me "how she works." I don't think I will try threading again, if she's considered one of the more meticulous ones out there. read more

I've been seeing Natasha for almost a year now. She's been the first (and probably last) esthetician I'll use for threading. Though I never have had threading before her, I am extremely happy with her work/the outcome. My brows do not look abnormally shaped or thinned; she has a good eye for such proportions on the face. She also does different facials and treatments, some which I've tried and would recommend - microdermabrasion, high frequency and hot stone treatments, and specialized ayurvedic facials. Natasha has been very open and understanding to my skin's needs. Furthermore, I find her very knowledgeable about olive-/darker toned skin as her recommendations (for facials/treatments or product) have proven positive for me over the course of the year. I'm confused by what just happened... After reading some Yelp reviews, I decided to give this place a try. I let my eyebrows grow out a little and all I wanted was a little clean up/slight arch under the brow to make it less like a sad caterpillar. It took me awhile to get an app't, so I was really ready for clean up by the time I got in to see Natasha. When I got there, she told me that she didn't do shaping (wha? isn't selective hair removal using thread considered "shaping"?) and she wasn't kidding. She didn't touch a single eyebrow hair! Not a single one. Instead, she zipped off some invisible peach fuzz above and between my eyebrows which didn't need to be touched, and which resulted in red pimple-like scabs for the next 4 days. I left there wondering what I'd just paid $10 plus a $3 tip for.....had to go get my eyebrows fixed someplace else. What a weird experience. read more

I am new to threading and went to Natasha three times. My brows looked great after, and it was not painful. But I've decided not to go back to her. The first time she told me to come back in three weeks. I went back in two and a half because my brows were growing out and looking crazy, and I had a wedding to go to. She told me how I needed to really wait the full three weeks because some hairs were still too short to thread. The next time I went back after four weeks and then Natasha told me on how I really needed to come in sooner because my brows were now too long, and she would now have to re-shape my brows. I thought, I can't win. She also seemed annoyed when I didn't remember how to position my fingers to stretch my eyelids. I finally thought, why am I paying for someone to lecture me, when I can get a lecture from my mom for free! read more

Natasha does not seem interested or willing to honor the Groupons she has given out. I followed the instructions online to book an appointment and found a few openings on Saturday. Mind you, I clicked that this was a Groupon. I was happy to get in, until I received an email saying my appointment was cancelled because it was a Groupon and she was overbooked. If she was really overbooked, why did she have an opening on her calendar online? Furthermore, she was very rude over the phone. Natasha is by far THE BEST threader I have ever had. She gives me a shape that compliments the shape of my face, not just random thinning. She is also a makeup artist and knows a lot about skincare. Natasha does a great job threading. She achieves a really natural look. She has a strong personality, which may not agree with everyone, but I feel like she has every right to have a strong opinion about what she does - BECAUSE SHE DOES A GOOD JOB. It's nice to not interact with someone who is totally meek and acquiescent because it let's you know that they take pride in what they are doing. Someone who acts like the customer is always right will not have the balls to be a true craftsperson/artist. On the one hand, this was the most painless threading session I've ever had. I'm not sure how she does it, but her touch really is soft. On the other hand, she made me bleed enough to have a scab on my eyelid for a week. Then she told me it was my fault for being a threading novice (I'm not) and that once I learn the proper way to hold my skin, that wouldn't happen any more. I've never ever ever had a threader rip some of my SKIN off before. I really wanted to like this place because her philosophy sounded interesting. She says she likes to shape brows more naturally and uses a special technique that is less painful than others. I have to give her credit, the threading is the most painless I've ever experienced. The natural shaping means that she doesn't trim the hairs because she shapes based on the direction of hair growth. Unfortunately, my brow hairs go in weird directions -- a lot of them point straight down actually -- and I just don't think that's flattering. read more

Reading Theresa M.'s matches my experience of Natasha. I was on the web site to schedule my Groupon.. Apparently, you can only schedule a week out, it does not tell you that. Their bookings system simply won't let you, no inkling as to why. So I called, and Natasha got offended when I said that the system was stupid for not having a message telling me why I could not book. And then she got upset. Natasha is the best threader I've ever had, hands down (and I've been to plenty). A couple of things that make her and her service special: 1. She allows online booking. 2. She will squeeze you in same-day if you leave her a V-mail. 3. She actually threads tighter than other threaders, meaning she pulls the thread tighter so it hurts you less, even though it's more laborious for her, since it breaks more thread as she goes along. I have The LOWEST pain tolerance... and she is amazing! Best $8 ($10 with tip) you'll spend to shape up those brows. read more

I went to Natasha for five years to get my brows done, and I'm only stopping because I'm moving to the other side of the country (and will probably still come get them done by her whenever I'm back in town). I have ridiculously bushy eyebrows, and I spent my adolescence and early twenties fighting their shape, which was not and never will be the nice high arch that's currently in favor. Natasha taught to stop fighting my brows and embrace their natural shape, which is much better for my face overall. It's not a super fancy salon, but I always appreciated the friendly, relaxed atmosphere in Natasha's place (made it easier to go in when I'd skipped a month and my brows were a mess - no judging). Plus at a super fancy salon, you will inevitably pay super fancy salon prices. Natasha is a great deal. I used to pay $25 just for someone to wax my eyebrows, but for $18 I can get my eyebrows and upper lip done with her. Thanks for five great years, Natasha! I have been going to Natasha for about 6 years now for my eye brows. All I can say is she is amazing!!! She is bubbly and fun to talk to, I love her. On top of her great personality she works fast, and knows what she is doing with that thread. She shapes my brows perfectly, and makes them look natural and beautiful. I wont trust anyone else with my brows! I also just had one of her facials for the first time two days ago and I wonder why I hadn't gotten one sooner!!! The facial was relaxing and it rejuvenated my skin. My skin has a glow now two days later There was no painful manual extractions, she had a high tech gadget that extracted pores so quickly. Started getting my eyebrows threaded about 5 years ago and I'm really glad I made the switch from waxing to threading. I've been to alot of threaders so I know who's good and who's not. I found Natasha from my coworker who found her through a coupon deal. I'm glad I started coming here instead of Sumi's. Don't ever go to Sumi's- they are not professional at all, treat you horribly even if you did make an appointment, and flat out rudely ask for tip when it's not deserved. I had never gotten threading before but I had recently moved to the area from San Jose, where I had my eyebrow waxing done, and figured I'd give it a shot since I had already been curious. This is now my third time seeing Natasha and every time she impresses me. The natural threading is virtually painless and allows me to keep the natural shape and thickness of my brows, which had previously been butchered by a series of waxers without me realizing. Natasha is very skilled at what she does and is informative/knowledgable. She also offers regular deals so I got my lip threaded this week and it was absolutely painless and worth giving a shot. I've been getting my eyebrows/upper lip/hairline threaded by a salon in SF for several years but after moving down to South Bay, decided to give this salon a try with a Full Face Threading. Apparently she invented her own method of threading but it feels very similar to others. One of my biggest pet peeves is that I have a lot of baby hairs that grow out that I like to get cleaned up via threading, which my old salon has always been able to do. But Natasha says she doesn't do this and didn't touch my hairline. She also refused to thread my chin because my hairs were too fine but when I went home to look, there clearly were hairs there that were noticeable. So I wasted $$ buying the full face option since she only did eyebrows and upper lip but skipped the sides, chin and hairline. She also started the appt late so maybe that's why she only did half my face. + : Really nice person and cute salon! read more

After about 3 minutes into the conversation, I knew Natasha was the one. While with all other brow places, it's a struggle to make them not go too thin, Natasha said she is gonna make it so my eyebrows have a chance to fill back in and work with the natural shape. THANK YOU!! Oh, and I've put my eyebrows through both waxing and threading before, and I could hardly feel any pain when Natasha was working. Natasha is also great for waxing - it might be her technique, or the fact that she uses organic natural products, but the experience is a lot more tolerable than in most other places.
