You could see he really cares. All of them did. I am looking forward to practicing again and Chris and Blade even offered to meet us to help us learn. I highly recommend this class. All women should go through this whether you want a gun or not. There were all ages from mother and daughter to your grandmother. Zero skills to people with skills. My confidence has gone way up since I understand more what it's about, the gun, and safety rules. We had aproximately 16 ladies in class, and after the morning instruction, had about 2+ hours of shooting, with various volunteer instructors practicing with various guns (aprox 20). This is really great with those of us in the market to purchase a pistol or rifle, and learn what is a good fit or not. The class was very informative, low cost considering the amount of information and safety training you get, feed us breakfast and lunch, and we didn't have to bring our own fire arms, unless we wanted to. As a bonus, we had a Ladies Shoot night for those of us who are already gun owners, and for 2+ hours after USI Range hours, we had full access to practice shooting our own fire arms, with guidance from the well trained volunteer instructors , which was extremely helpful for us newbies!!! I can't say enough great things about our instructors Chris and Blade, and all the Volunteer Expert Coaches! Seperate from the Women's Classes and Shooting event, the club is run by just a really nice family oriented group of people. They have monthly meetings, potlucks, and lots of activities to keep everyone interested. All very kind, and willing to help out a newbie in learning a new sports and self defense. Anyone thinking of owning a fire arm should come take their classes and seriously consider joining their Diablo Rod & Gun Club! You won't be disappointed!!!

She covered everything in a clear, structured, and easy-to-follow way-starting with fundamental gun safety rules, then walking us through pistol parts, operation, and safe handling. Halfway through the session, Kelly came over to review our targets and gave each of us personalized, practical feedback on how to improve and what to focus on for better results-I loved that level of attention. What really made the experience exceptional was the variety of firearms she brought for us to try, including the Springfield Echelon 9mm, H&K P2000, Sig Sauer P320, Glock 19, and Smith & Wesson M&P22. Being able to compare different models in one session was incredibly valuable and helped me better understand what I might want to purchase in the future. We also worked with two types of targets-starting with Multi-Bullseye Splatter Targets and then moving on to Silhouette Targets used for self-defense training-which made the session even more dynamic and realistic. The majority of the time was spent on shooting. Yes, they did give us a safety briefing but it was mainly shooting. They were very patient, especially to my nervous girlfriend. It's been well over 3 days now and they still talking about how much fun they had. Next time I'll have them teach them shotguns. I highly recommend them especially nowadays.

My son picked it up quick, iron sights and red dots on pistols and rifles, thanks to Ang's style/techniques/drills. I have taken him shooting only a couple times, but it was time he learned how to operate. Ang started him off slowly with safety lessons and proper fundamentals (grip/stance/the mechanics of the firearms), moved him along through some drills while keeping a close eye on safety. He progressed to reload drills, the infamous dot torture, and one handed shooting drills amongst others. He got to shoot paper and steel so he knows how that feedback feels. I brought it all out so he got to sample and choose which firearms he prefers. A couple 9mm carbines and AR15 along with a full size 9mm pistol with irons and a compact 9mm with a dot. Ang led to make it safe, educational, and fun. Time well spent and we plan to do it again this summer. I have had the honor of training with Threat Scenarios on several handfuls of occasions, they always come correct. Every instructor has not only been safety first, but they make it fun because they want you to learn. The instructors' backgrounds allow them to supervise safety while maximizing the most from each student. I highly recommend all of their training classes to sharpen the iron. Not only just for your CCW reqs, but for preparing your mindset and skills. Looking forward to my next training with Threat Scenarios, as well as my sons.
