They are patient with teaching me and my friend how to properly shoot a gun. We also had fun! I will totally come back again;)

I researched several programs in search of a well-rounded curriculum and chose them for their depth of experience. Their resumés are impressive, and I soon discovered that they're not only highly skilled but also genuinely kind people whose insight, real-world experience, and teaching skills provide life-long benefits. Their training is well worth the drive from SF, which, thanks to the traffic pattern, isn't bad at all. If you're seeking solid instruction and truly want to learn, that's exactly why I keep returning to Paladin.

I'm fairly new to Diabo Rod & Gun, but this is a very very welcoming group. Recently became a…read moremember. I took their Women's intro class! I can't say enough great things about it. We had aproximately 16 ladies in class, and after the morning instruction, had about 2+ hours of shooting, with various volunteer instructors practicing with various guns (aprox 20). This is really great with those of us in the market to purchase a pistol or rifle, and learn what is a good fit or not. The class was very informative, low cost considering the amount of information and safety training you get, feed us breakfast and lunch, and we didn't have to bring our own fire arms, unless we wanted to. As a bonus, we had a Ladies Shoot night for those of us who are already gun owners, and for 2+ hours after USI Range hours, we had full access to practice shooting our own fire arms, with guidance from the well trained volunteer instructors , which was extremely helpful for us newbies!!! I can't say enough great things about our instructors Chris and Blade, and all the Volunteer Expert Coaches! Seperate from the Women's Classes and Shooting event, the club is run by just a really nice family oriented group of people. They have monthly meetings, potlucks, and lots of activities to keep everyone interested. All very kind, and willing to help out a newbie in learning a new sports and self defense. Anyone thinking of owning a fire arm should come take their classes and seriously consider joining their Diablo Rod & Gun Club! You won't be disappointed!!!

Then in the afternoon they had several coaches bring guns and we were able to try them all while being trained at the same time. Blade stayed after and helped me with my new gun my husband bought me. You could see he really cares. All of them did. I am looking forward to practicing again and Chris and Blade even offered to meet us to help us learn. I highly recommend this class. All women should go through this whether you want a gun or not. There were all ages from mother and daughter to your grandmother. Zero skills to people with skills. My confidence has gone way up since I understand more what it's about, the gun, and safety rules. Again, whether you believe in guns or deathly afraid, after this class it will give you the understanding of safety and handling. They have classes for younger kids too. Sign em up!

I went to the public range to refine my marksmanship. Once I had that, I took the DAP orientation…read more(which was a blast) and now usually prefer DAP because I get to practice in an "active" way -vs- my occasional public range trips for marksmanship refreshers and to practice new techniques. They both have a purpose, depending on your objectives. They do, most certainly, adhere to a higher level of safety, since there is so much more going on. Carelessness can get you a DQ (disqualified, for the day). But don't worry, you can come back the next day and they still love you. I really do appreciate the heightened vigilance regarding safety. Nice crew, super-helpful and enough safety rules to make you comfortable without going overboard. Wonderful balance!

Chris and Blade are nothing but perfect gentleman, with pristine expectations of their students. It's incredibly safe, and they keep such a close eye on all of us. They are kind, non-pretentious, funny, and a damn good time! The entire staff had a heart full of gold, only wanting to educate women on how to defend themselves. I could go on and on... this place is better than Martinez gun club by far. I trust these men wholeheartedly to teach me the way, I can't wait to be a member!

He tried calling…read moreme from (310) 895-0066, then I called him back to let him know that I was trying to confirm the name of of the owner of a house for a restraining order. I told him I already went to the County Assessor's office, so I already have the name of the owners. My question was if he could confirm the name of the owner by cross-checking with the owner names as well the vehicle of this house owner since this person lives around the neighborhood. Mr. Brooks said gave me the flat fee of $250 to do what I asked. I paid him on May 2nd, and sent him an email at jcbitsc@yahoo.com with the address I was looking to confirm as well as the vehicle number. On May 9th, he emailed me a reply saying he confirmed the owners of the house -- Note: There was nothing else, save for his word. I replied asking if we can verify the ownership of the vehicle since the person living at the home (the person I see daily or majority of the time) is not confirmation that person is also the owner. Mr. Brooks said he'd get back to me. Meanwhile, the law film I was working with asks me during a conversation: Did you verify if this private investigator has a license? Me: No. May 16th, Juan Brooks emails me to say that he was out of town for business. May 20th, I email a reply saying I'm in the process of finding another private investigator since the law firm I was working with is trying to get my situation handled. I also noticed that Juan Brook's website (http://www.jcbitsc.com/) is no longer active. I went ahead looking for other private investigators on Yelp, verifying licenses, pricing, and I came across Verity Investigative Group who quoted $95 for everything I needed to do, and also confirmed that he would be able to do everything that day within the hour. He did. May 24th, I get an email from Juan Brooks that he'll have a full report the following week. I'm still waiting on that report. Meanwhile, I filed a dispute with my credit union...and plan on filing a complaint with the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services.
