When the car came off the washing track, I noticed an unexplained dent, along with a long crease running from the front door all the way to the rear. I immediately asked the manager about it. He claimed I must have caused it myself and said he had surveillance footage he could show me. However, once my car was fully washed, the manager then said he didn't have the password to access the footage and would give it to me the next day. We exchanged phone numbers. The following day, I texted him, and he still claimed he didn't have the password. After that, I never heard from anyone again -- which says a lot. My repair cost is estimated to be over $4,000. This caused damage to the bumper and tailgate area. The service manager confirmed they had insurance but requested not to involve the insurance company and instead offered to pay out of pocket. He asked me to provide a repair estimate, but when I returned with the quote, he stated it was too high and asked me to get another one. After this, I informed him I would proceed through my own insurance company. As of August 25, I have not received payment for the damages. Seriously I was waiting in line, clearly next, and somehow two cars magically got waved through before me like they were VIPs. No explanation, no apology, nothing. The wait time is ridiculous as they are woefully understaffed. They have no rhyme or reason as to order of what car goes when. Haven't been here in a decade had hoped they'd improved the process. The service varies at Splashes. Oftentimes cupholders and door pockets aren't wiped clean and sometimes they don't seem to pay as much attention to the back seats, especially 3rd row. This shouldn't happen considering the price being charged. I went on Fri 9/5 around noon & waited about 50min for my car; there were alot of cars & less workers than I normally see, so I understood the wait. However, it gave me alot of time to observe, especially the 2 guys driving the cars from the wash to the wipe down area. The 1st guy (very tall & thin wearing a short-sleeved shirt) handled the cars cautiously and respectfully. He immediately began wiping down cars whenever he didn't have one that needed to be moved. He also very kindly apologized for the wait once my car was done. I wish I'd gotten his name, but hope the owner/manager will recognize him from my description and acknowledge him somehow. However, the 2nd guy (black beard, wearing a black hoodie w/hood up over a baseball cap, black skinny jeans & brown boots/shoes) was borderline reckless; driving way too fast in that small space, stopping short & so close to other vehicles. I did purchase with a few scratches and fully aware of them. After getting my car wash today I pointed out right away a spot that was not previously there when I dropped it off. Took my Toyota Tubdra to them on 6/16/25 and when I got home I found numerous areas that were not clean that were part of the $54 car wash including the mats that still were filthy. I was wiping off many areas on the outside that were missed and found that damage was done to my driver side door where the spinning brushes literally burned the paint off in the crack between the door and front fender. It could not have happened from anything other than there as a shopping cart or car door would not burn paint off inside a 1/4" crack. I returned the next day and was told John the manager had left for the day so I came back the following g day and they immediately started accusing me of trying to scam them into fixing damage to my truck. I'm a 49 year old single father and business owner of 22 years here in Livermore and have never tried to rip off anyone let alone another local business that I have gone to for the past 20+ years. I actually used to know the previous manager Mark who was always pleasant to deal with. In addition if I were trying to scam them and purposely went there in an attempt to try and rip them off wouldn't I have pointed out the damage the same day rather than come back a day after? The new manager was useless and their employee who's name has slipped my mind was rude and condescending claiming "his equipment" could never damage a vehicle and I was just trying to get them to pay for repairing my truck. If this guy ever spoke to a customer of mine like he did myself he would be fired on the spot. I now have to take this to small claims court to try and hold them responsible for the damage as I anticipate it will be several thousand dollars to repair. I went to get an old friends car washed that hadn't had a good washing in a while and had a lot of dog hair, they showed me the price list without explaining to me there would be an extra charge for vacuuming pet hair, WTH, that's ridiculous. They didn't even tell me in advance, once I got home and took a look at the backseat I realized that there was still dog hair everywhere so I went back and they told me the only way they would address this issue is is if I paid an additional $30 pet hair vacuuming fee. This is insane. I'll never go back again. 2. I think this place hires the workers who got fired from Autopia in downtown Livermore. All in all they did an ok job, but The new owners have added an "oversize fee" for "medium" and "XL" vehicles. I drive a compact SUV, a CX5, but got charged the $2 "medium" oversize fee. Just took my car here today and was super happy with how it came out! They took a long time but their attention to detail was very good, paid for the hand wax and wash. I was excited to have found a new car wash spot until I realized there are two scratches in my hood, my car is practically brand new and in otherwise immaculate condition. Knowing there are two scratches (DEEP ones that cannot be buffed, even the metal is scraped off) on the hood is going to haunt me. I understand there is a risk taking your car to any wash, but I didn't expect damage of this nature. Will be telling everyone I know about this, please for your own sake don't come here. I haven't taken my cars to Splashes since late last year, 2019. I usually go to a drive through these days. But today the drive through was closed so I thought I'll go to Splashes. Use to go once every couple months , pre- COVID 19 and took all the cars in my family .. rotating them. First STICKER SHOCK ... the cheapest wash was $29.99 ... Wheel Deal. Second, they charged an extra $3 for "oversize" ... its an SUV. With the lowest fee plus a tip, this was almost $40. Yikes. Maybe once a year from now on. PS - all the workers were pleasant, the car seems pretty clean . They could have cleaned the wheels better and they didn't hand wipe the top of vehicle ... but maybe I'm being too picky. Also the restroom was closed to patrons. That was a big bummer ... what if there was a long wait folks! Frankly, unless you need all the windows done and vacuuming, better to just go through a drive through car wash most of the time. read more

I am very upset I took my new (to me) car here to get a wash. I have no idea what kind of towel or rag they were using, but it scratched every single plastic surface they used it on in the interior of my car. They also flat out missed some spots (I know this because there are some areas that were still dusty and are not scratched). The areas they cleaned were left with some sort of residue or film on it. I had to go through and re-clean the entirety of my car on the inside because what they didn't clean was left with a cloudy film over it. I am never coming back here and I recommend if you don't either unless you want the interior of your car all scratched up. I plan on calling them to see what sort of resolution I can get from this. If I could give zero stars I would! Don't go here! So we went here yesterday morning and had two of our cars done. We paid 85$ for both. Here's the problem.... they finish the cars I think hmmmm not a bad job as I walk up to claim my vehicle. I get inside and they definitely could have done a better job inside but hey, it is what it is. So I get home and park as I walk up my walk way which is now on the passenger side, I notice what looks like bird poop. Okay no prob let me just get it off. As I get closer I see that my car actually was dented and the paint is scuffed. WTF??! They cut a corner too close and dented my car! They never even told me!!! It's definitely something that you KNOW you hit something. And seriously you just detailed the outside of my car and went completely around it. I do not recommend this place.
