ASA Pools & Spas is bar none the best service we've ever had on our architectural and somewhat…read morecomplicated dual pond + waterfall water feature. we have all the equipment of a pool but with greater structural/physical complexity. all other pool & pond service providers in the past paled in comparison to ASA. they would get it to work for awhile, but specific aspects of the feature would cause degradation in pump or water flow thru performance over time, or frequent attendance and servicing was inconsistent. but ASA is starkly different! ASA team approached it with an "engineering excellence" stemming from an incredible understanding (and intelligence) about the technical components of the system, as well as taking a no-challenge-is-too-great attitude. they even took special care to get the minor aesthetic details right (i.e. perfectly flush water level with the coping). after nearly 14 years of messing around with other pool providers, from now on we will only go with ASA as our water feature has performed FLAWLESSLY. they have my HIGHEST recommendation!!

I hired them to do a year's contract including three maintenance cleans back in June. I prepaid $1120 and had one service provided. Due to my tenants moving out and no longer needing the hot tub, I asked if it was possible to repurpose the unused balance to instead drain and winterize the tub, assuming I would maybe get a little bit of a refund back after the winterization was taken into account. They ignored my multiple emails and I felt like I had to harass them to even just acknowledge receipt of my emails. When they finally responded, they said my first drain and fill was a filthy job and my tub was covered in ants and hence they should be charging me more, but they never mentioned this until now. It was rude and out of nowhere. They also said the website pricing was wrong and that the winterizing would cost more, and that they were also booked out but could maybe squeeze us in a few weeks and would check in later. It was strange to me that 1) they never mentioned the alleged issues with my first hot tub service, 2) they had inconsistencies in pricing between the email quote and their website, and 3) they didn't want to preschedule a standard service that was time sensitive and needed to be scheduled in advance. Finally, when they did actually come out do the winterization (after I pleaded with them to get it scheduled), the tub was left with water in the tub and we are unsure if it was properly winterized. I wrote again asking for clarity and he said he took video of the service footage and would send it to me; it's been over a week and still haven't received it after a couple of follow-up emails requesting it. I am nervous there is still water in the plumbing that would freeze and have no confirmation that the winterization actually was completed. This company is hugely unprofessional and needs to get their act together. I hope this review will prompt them to reply to my unanswered emails and send me the video footage.

We…read morehad set up an appt with another pool service company that stood us up, so we called Amcon the next day and Darcy in the office had someone here within less than an hour. Michael diagnosed the problem -- our 25-year-old pump and 50+ year old sand filter (!) needed to be replaced. No surprise there. He talked us through the options and provided us with a written proposal the next day with line items for the recommended new equipment and labor costs. The equipment was ordered, then installed by Michael and his co-worker a few days later -- all less than a week from when we had initially called. We were trained on how to operate the shiny new (much more energy efficient and quiet) equipment and Michael was responsive to a couple follow up calls with questions. Everything was totally professional, transparent, efficient, and reliable from start to finish. And our water is clearer than it has ever been!
