I've been to all of the locations and the overall restaurant vibe and quality of food is pretty standard with all of them. The people at this location were very warm and welcoming. I've been here for lunch about three times now. Each time, they've brought my food promptly and in a timely manner. I order the street cart doner wrap and street cart fries each time. Let me tell you the portion size was awesome leaving enough room for leftovers and the french fry dipping sauce was unique and good! The baklava was rather sweet, but I would definitely order this food again especially for the price. Every time I come here I order the same thing: Lamb and Beef Doquitos and Street Cart Fries with "the works." These doner taquitos with Mediterranean salad ingredients on top are crispy and flavorful and taste soo good with the aioli sauce. The Street Cart Fries have the same fresh and savory set up of chopped green peppers, peperoncinis, tomatoes, onions, olives, crumbled feta cheese and aioli as a dipping sauce that always makes me want to finish the fries even though it's enough for two. It really is unlike anything I've ever tasted. Such a burst of incredibly zesty flavor. Don't lick the paper, apparently it's frowned upon or some shit. Spitz is a great lunch/dinner spot if you don't want to wait in a long line or go to a fancy restaurant. It wasn't very busy when I went on a weeknight and food came out after a reasonable time. My coworker wanted to try something new for lunch and found this place Spitz. It wasn't a far walk from our building and once we got there I noticed there were board games laying on the back of the booths. This place already became 10x cooler! The place was clean and the lady taking our order was extremely nice. I decided to go with a lamb gyro, beer battered fries and a peach sangria. I thought gyro meat was absolutely delicious but the wrap was a little tough. The fries and sangria were definitely on point. You have to try their different sangrias. Overall, I would easily come back for lunch and I have twice already. I would like to grab lunch on a day when I'm not working so I can fully joy their sangria selections. The Mediterranean Doner in a wrap is made with romaine, cucumber, green pepper, hold the tomato, tzatziki, chili sauce and choice of meat. It's a lot more filling that it looks. The salads here are sizable. The come similar to the wraps except with fried, pita, feta, pepperochinis, fried pita, lavash chips, and crispy garbanzo. Doener is one of my favorite foods and seemingly impossible to find a good spot for them in the US. I had been disappointed in their downtown location, but thought I would give them another try in Studio City. The location and vibe is much better, the food is still the same though. Went with the spicy doner for the man, the lite for myself and a doquito to share. A fun find right off of 101 freeway. My friends and I were starving after spending a couple of hours at the Chinese consulate applying for our visas for an upcoming China trip. We exited onto Cahuenga because there is a bunch of restaurants mapped on Yelp. We tried Spitz because the outdoor tables were still filled at 2 pm so it must be a good locals' place. We were right. We loved the decor. We scanned the menu quickly because we were so darn hungry and you have to order at the counter before sitting down with your number. My friend chose a salad which she absolutely loved and I'm a sucker for feta cheese so I tried the first thing on the menu, a dolma which was big and filled with fresh veggies, but next time I think I'll try the falafel and the french fries which look like to die for. I didn't notice them on the menu until we had already ordered from the friendly order taker who gave all of us the ten percent Yelp discount for my check in. We also noticed the sangria afterwards, but their tropical iced tea is hard to beat. Next time, after we go back to pick up our visas, we will know what to order. read more

I usually enjoy Spitz because of its unique menu offerings and delicious waffle fries. But today I ordered a street cart doner and my absolute favorite thing that makes it is the fried lavash chips. Since it's COVID times and only take out/delivery I was extremely disappointed to learn when I started eating my wrap that there is absolutely no lavash chips in it!! Either they ran out and didn't inform me or their cook doesn't know what he's doing. I'm thoroughly disappointed and no one picks up the phone there for me to complain to. read more

I've been to the one on Hillhurst and the one in Eagle Rock, it was now time to try this place. They have metered street parking and a lot that looks generous. When I tried to make conversation with the gal that I was ordering to, she was either having a bad day or really hates her job. The place is so modern and nice looking and it wasn't too packed so I can't imagine why she'd hate working there. She just wasn't warm or nice at all. I asked her how to pronounce Doner and she answered in a similar tone to "Beuller....Beuller". Not the most pleasant first impression at all. In any case, I got my Doner basket with chicken and it didn't disappoint and it never does. My friend got the zesty Doner wrap, and my other gal pal got a basket of sweet potato fries and another basket of garbanzo beans, which are always such a hit! Dipping sauces never disappoint either. There seems to be a lot of places to sit there but I can imagine during high traffic times, seating could be difficult. We really enjoyed the "have you ever" card game that they had at our table. Super irritated. Spitz charges for extra sauces on DoorDash, which is totally fine, but then they stiffed me on the extra sauces. I had guests and ordered eight extra sauces and PAID for eight sauces, but I got just THREE. It totally impacted the enjoyability of the meal. I came here on my first day of work with my manager. The food here is absolutely amazing. It's mediterranean food with a an LA personality, and I'm a fan. I tried the donor basket. A great blend of meats, fries, and toppings. Not too overpowering or salty and I found most of the ingredients very fresh ans balanced each other out. Also the portions are super generous!! The resturuant itself waa also very nice with unique artwork decorating the interior. The enployee was super friendly and our food came out very quickly. I only wish I had the chance to stop by a couple more timed before moving out of LA but if I'm ever visiting, I'll be coming back here. Would highly recommend.
