Overall, not a bad spot. We had cheese bread and their pepperoni pizza. Cheese bread was huge, definitely took left overs. Crust on pizza was thick, and presentation was unique. Pizza sauce was not a win, seemed like it came out of a bag and was under seasoned. As a whole, good place to check out, but not a regular stop. read more

Great pizza and beer!! Found this place after a basketball game and had a wonderful experience. When I return to Boise, I will be back to enjoy some pizza and craft beer. read more

Best pizza in Boise! Got the Detroit Supreme and it was great. Service and beer selection was top notch as well. Support a local establishment and go there. read more

Pretty decent pizza...we got it delivered and it was cold by then but that isn't their fault.

Great pizza and terrific customer service, great combo. A craft beer place without a bunch of drunk idiots making a scene, although we did leave before 7pm. read more

Excelent beer selection, awesome pizza, good atmosphere. What can you ask for. You need to come and experiance this place!!!!!

Garlic sausage pizza was great! Wasn't delivered with wheat crust as ordered. BBQ chicken salad was okay, it was fresh, but lacking chicken and other toppings, bought the large salad. 2 small salad dressing cups weren't enough and the ranch dressing tasted like bottled...not homemade which I was told. Delivery from Door Dash. The order didn't include any parmesan cheese, dried red peppers, plates and napkins like most restaurants provide. read more

This pizza was absolutely amazing! I was in Boise for a work trip and a coworker and I decided to try out Spitfire upon recommendation from our hotel. So glad we did! The service was great, the beer was cold, and the pizza was delicious!! This friendly staff and clean establishment make everything that much better! read more

We ordered take out since we were on that side of town. We had never even heard of the place before. Pizza was amazing!!! We ordered a Hawaiian Detroit style and the supreme original crust. The Detroit style crust had the perfect crisp on the edge and was so good. We are only sad that we don't live closer!! We will definitely be ordering again! read more

We stopped here while traveling through and glad we did. We shared the "Local" salad and a small hand tossed whole wheat "The Supreme" pizza. Food was excellent, service was excellent. The Spitfire comes highly recommended. read more

We stopped here after we arrived at Boise Airport last evening because it was close and we were really hungry! This pizza is just AMAZING, and took me back to my childhood of growing up in the Detroit suburbs. We had the Detroit pizza but with sausage, mushrooms and olives in addition to the pepperoni. The pizza is caramelized on the edges, the bottom of the crust is crispy, chewy in the middle and the top was caramelized, crunchy. They put sauce on the top--which made it a beautiful site. It was a taste you can't forget! We had it for lunch today and still want it again! We will have to go back, even though it is an hour drive. I'll never come to Boise without stopping here! read more

Very rude unprofessional owner. He sets up his "office" on the bar. He is rude to his customers and lied to me about the readiness time of the pizza and the other customers who were waiting for 30 min. The staff seemed nice and the pizza smelled good, but I left without my pizza simply because the owner was rude and disrespectful to me when I simply asked "do you have an eta on the pizza?" (I had been waiting for 20 min, when he had told me it would be 8 min, so I was checking in 12 min after the promised time, which was already 8 min late) and, he disrespected me as if it was my fault for nicely asking the readiness of the pizza. No excuse for anyone to treat someone else like that, especially the owner. He should know better. Advice for the owner... STAY OUT OF IT and let your employees do their job. If you have to come into the restaurant, keep your mouth shut and sit down in a back office or at a table and just observe. Don't interact with customers. You have no interpersonal skills. Stick to the books. Also, it's better to not know something rather than lying because you think you are smarter than others'. Finally don't disrespect anyone, especially your customers. I hope that advice helps with your business. read more

This is a must try for any pizza lover. We love this place and gladly travel past our other favorites to eat here. Come support this new local business. The staff is awesome. I've never been a fan of deep dish but I order one every time from this place. Great taste. Keep up the good work! read more

If you haven't tried Detroit style pizza, do it right now. Spitfire Pizza exceeded my expectations in every way. The food (pizza) was exceptionally delicious and the warm and friendly service was a nice touch. They made you feel at home immediately. Oh, and the craft brew selection was great. Light, medium, and dark beers to choose from. I will definitely be back soon. read more

It took 45 minutes to get our pizza. They kept bringing out the wrong pizza and asking if it "looked like what we ordered?" When it arrived ... it was so burned on the bottom we only ate the toppings. My finger were black becouse of the charcoal. They also don't have any ice to put in drinks. They only serve beer and canned soda/drinks. Won't be bck read more

I had no idea "Detroit style" pizza was a thing. I'm glad it is, though. Spitfire has righteous pie, and great beer. We will be back for sure! read more

Best pizza in Boise. I think I have taken 20 other people now. They owe me commission. Lol just kidding. Everyone we have taken has loved it also. I'm not much of a beer drinker but I do love theirs. The place is small and the tables could use some upgrading but hey ! If food and beer is good who cares about the rest. Their staff is always friendly and helpful too. I'm glad I discovered this place. read more

Found spitfire using Yelp on a pass through Boise. Detroit style caught my eye, so I thought I'd try it out. Just came back from a week long trip with a group of vegetarians, so the all meat pizza sounded like a good plan. I really liked the edges of the cheesy crust crisped up on the sides of the pan, but they were pretty stingy with the toppings for $30 IMO. Pretty good, but I'll probably try the thin crust next time as the Sicilian/Detroit thing did not knock my socks off. The service was fast and friendly and the beer selection was top notch! read more

Spot on Detroit style. Friendly service. Great experience. Wish we had more time to eat there again!

Spitfire pizza was so good! I love the Detroit style pizza with the sauce on top! The service was friendly and quick. The pizza itself is very filling so I had lots of leftovers which is always a plus for me! Highly recommend this spot! read more

Never eaten here only because I can't stand gluten free galaxy gf products, however I live down the street and the heavenly smell is so good. Went inside once to ask about the gf crust options and the entire staff was friendly as well as the customers. Not their fault they carry a brand I don't personally dig, they care about the community they're feeding read more

The pizza was great! Beer was good! The owner was super hot.... made me wish I was gay!

Great pizza (if you like deep dish). We loved the spicy tomato sauce and the extra sauce for dipping. Fantastic service and fun people. (They dropped my pizza and gave me a beer on the house - for the delay - totally unnecessary but very kind). The atmosphere is a little sparse but great place and great beer selection. read more

First time order, not your average pizza. Very good and nice service. Will order again soon. Thanx!

Update: I returned and had a much nicer waitress and the pizza was available and delicious! They may have fixed the previous issues I wrote about. Love the Detroit style pizza here read more

We ordered the small Detroiter and wheat pesto cheese breadsticks. Everything was delicious and very filling, my favorite was the pesto breadsticks, the pesto has amazing flavor! We had leftovers & everything heated up nicely in the oven the next day and still tasted great. We will definitely be going back. read more

I'm a fan of NY style pizza but there is something about the Detroit style that keeps me wanting to come back. I love the crispy cheese outside the crust, fresh sauce on top, loads of cheese underneath and the crust itself. read more

I am generally a thin crust fan but this Detroit style makes me so happy. The sauce is flavorful and the crispy, cheesy edges are delicious. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars is they only have diet coke in a can and I much prefer a fountain coke. We will be back again and again. read more

I'd heard and read about the newest pizza place in boise featuring Detroit style pizza so I decided to try it with my movie group crew. First off, if you are a group of 4 or more this is not the place (the seating is very limited and they do not have tables you can easily pull together for groups). So their systems are still a work in progress; it's an odd set-up. It's clearly a sit down restaurant yet they don't have wait staff so you have to go up to the counter and order. Another oddity they have water in a water cooler-literally haha I've never seen that before at a restaurant. The water was out and I asked; they were so overwhelmed they just forgot so I had no water for my meal. The GOOD!! The pizza crust was unique; crunchy and with a nice bit of char/crust it was a delicious spin on pizza you don't normally find in town. Everyone in the group that ordered pizza raves about the crust. My major complaint with the pizza was the topping distribution; we ordered a Detroit supreme some pizzas had no sausage or pepperoni on it many just had one pepperoni or sausage on it. The sauce on top of the pizza was a nice touch too. Lastly, the decor was very odd and eclectic I couldn't figure it out I guess they are trying to be a sports bar. Anyways..This being a newer restaurant they have some obvious issues to address service and food wise (hire a server, have water for the customers probably get rid of that water cooler haha, better topping distribution) fix those and you'd be a five star in my book. I'd add I won't be back with a group it's not conducive to parties over 4 which is sad I'd love to support a local spot with large group business. If you are looking for a unique taste on pizza this is the spot to try maybe give them a few more weeks to work out the kinks :) read more

This Detroit style pizza has officially changed my pizza life. We ordered the BBQ CHICKEN pizza. ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL - life changing really! The crust has cheddar cheese baked into it so once cooked it has an amazing crunch and texture to it. The staff are so easy going and attentive. If we weren't just passing through, this could easily be a week night dinner go to! Also, LOVE the massive tap beer selection! Thank you Spitfire Pizza for the lovely experience during our travels. read more

We've eaten at Spitfire four times and ordered take-out once. We've only ordered the vegetarian pizzas. The Detroit-style is amazing. The crust is thick but light and fluffy. A decent selection of beers. Restaurant is still working out some service issues. We're not always sure where we should order pizza and beer (at our table or at the counter?) and whether is it open seating or not. But these are minor issues as the pizza is excellent. read more

As someone who's from out of town and new to Detroit-style pizza, I was pleasantly surprised just how good the pizza was here. I'd definitely spot by again when in the area. read more

Hauntingly good. The crispy cheese crust will remain in your mind long after you exit the restaurant, drawing you ever and again back.

I had never heard of Detroit pizza... and was a bit skeptical. We tried the Detroiter. This pizza is fantastic! Chewy, with a tangy almost sourdough-like crust, amazing cheese that gets so crispy and delicious on the corners, and great sauce. As a previously thin-crust kinda girl, this was a very pleasant surprise! Will be back for more! Good beer selection at an average price. read more

Amazing pizza with a very friendly staff. Beer and cider selections are amazing. Give this place a try, you won't regret it!

I went to Spitfire Pizza very hungover and thought pizza sounded amazing. My expectations were as low as my self-esteem, but one of the two definitely changed once I left. Jake was super cute... he had all of the different flavors of white claws and the best gluten-free pizza. I had an amazing time but sadly got too nervous to leave my number for him. Jake if your reading this I'm in love with you and your gluten-free sausage pizza. read more

When this place opened some friends and I wanted to check it out, but couldn't get a table. I understand why... The pizza is great and a different style than what I'm used to. It's a style that's perfect if you like crispy, crusty, cheesy edges; if you love cheese in general; or if you like saucy pizza. They also have a large beer menu with a lot of local favorites and seasonal brews. Any of the dark stouts have been delicious. A few big screen TVs showing different sporting events in the dining area. Separated from that, is a bar if you'd rather be closer to the tap. This place is worth the visit and isn't hard to walk in and get a table now. Highly recommend this place. read more

I'm a big supporter of individual mom/pop places to eat and will rarely do the chains. That's why I was looking forward to trying Spitfire. I ordered the Detroit All Meat pizza. Unfortunately, the ingredients were extremely high in sodium and not sure if this is intentional by the owner to encourage more beer sales. Some people might not care about sodium levels, but this was an issue for me personally. I would definitely return if you offered products with less sodium. read more

Very tasty pizza and a great ham sandwich option for kiddos that don't appreciate pizza.
