The brunette bartender working after-hours on Saturday 12/29-12/30 was stealing money from patrons. She stole $15 from me and I was sober. I can't imagine what she stole from customers who were under the influence. After she very clearly gave me the wrong change after ordering water, I didn't confront her because this was my first time at Spire and I'd rather be safe than fight for $15. Not a safe place for women. I was punched in the face by a man, the security Mr. C Gallo and Mr. G Adams presented as cops from HPD and didn't do anything once I said that I want press charges they threw me out of the club. I called 911 and again only to be harassed and threaten to be arrested, apparently the HPD is running the territory as a gangsters,I wonder if the chief is aware, so I had to go home wake up with a bruised cheek without a police report and afraid to go out again. read more

I've been meaning to write this review for months, but never got around to it. You really couldn't pay me to come back to this place. I came here for the first time when a friend of mine was playing in the Moroccan room (not the main stage) so it was pretty chill because we had a huge group (read: we ordered a shit ton of bottles). Destructo was playing that night so we wandered over to the main stage for a little bit and immediately came back because as much as I love Destructo, I couldn't freakin' breathe over there. I came back for a GNO for Alan Walker, and seriously- they are singlehandedly to blame for my black out. It took us so long to negotiate our table because suddenly the prices they quoted us mysteriously spiked. They also screwed up the charge on our friend's credit card (which she put down for the whole table so we could figure out how to evenly split everything later) so it took us even more time to haggle with the idiot who charged the credit card. By the time our bottles FINALLY came, I was stone cold sober and spent the remainder of our night power hour-ing. Every single bouncer, cocktail waitress, bartender, and other staff we encountered was rude as fuck. Literally the only saving grace was that we were at an upstairs table, just looking down at the sardines packed in underneath the balcony. Seriously, fuck this place. I always have a great fucking time at Stereo Live and I'll just continue to wait for my favorite DJs to go there instead. read more

Went here for my friend's 21st birthday a few days ago. $20 cover charge just to get in! It seemed like all the ladies there were dressed up, but I saw guys in shorts and t-shirts... When we went there was a good amount of people there dancing, but the dance floor was far too small for everyone and my friends and I barely got in to dance. Drinks were ridiculously expensive and not worth it. Music was ok, but my friends and I didn't have a ton of room to dance on what they called a dance floor. Overall, I would not recommend this place unless you're ok with overpriced drinks and a small dance floor. read more

First experience was Christmas Eve with Party Favor as the main DJ. Arrived around 12-1am and didn't wait long in line at all! Was let in very quickly, and overall the experience was awesome! Loud music, great crowd, and there's two dance floors so you can alternate between the two whenever the main one gets too crowded and the music is just as great! Loved the graphics on the TV as well as the lights, bathrooms were clean with a bathroom attendant. Only complaint is how overpriced the drinks were, but hey it's a club in Houston so it's expected. With $13 a shot; I recommend pregames prior to going in the club. (: Haven't been on a Friday night before, and am planning on it soon.. will review about that as well! read more

Went here to see kaskade who I've seen several times all across the nation, and was extremely disappointed because of this venue. No other place has ever been this terrible to their patrons. We paid way too much money to be crammed in the venue and unless you were smashed between two people with no space to dance, you couldn't be in the "main" room where he was playing. Heard maybe 4 songs of kaskades and couldn't breathe any longer so we tried to go to the hall for air and it was over crowded, the patio was crowded, at that point we couldn't even hear the set so we paid all this money for nothing. On top of that, two of my friends almost got trampled in the bathroom hallway, at that point we had to leave. The vip booths are surrounding the dance floor and in the middle of the dance floor so there is basically no dance floor. People were standing on top of the furniture so if you're short like me, your entire view the whole night is peoples asses and crotches and it leads you to feel super claustrophobic. Will never, ever, go to this venue again no matter who is performing. I want my money back. These owners do not care about the safety of their patrons, only profits at any cost. read more

First of all, there's a 20 dollar cover. This applies to you even if you're over 21. According to an employee, on certain nights the cover is even higher if you're under 21. Tried to have a great night with some friends, but all of a sudden my boy friend who was just dancing got choke held around the neck by the bouncer. I tried to get him off and the was choke hold myself. I was so confused and scared. I guess they had recently painted the trim around the booths or had painted it with the wrong paint because it got all over my hands and the shirt I was wearing. Same with my friends. I asked the bartender to ask the manager what kind of paint it was so I could try to get it off my shirt and was told that it "Wasn't their paint."?? My friends and I came to see Jay Hardway last night and we could barely breathe with the club being overcrowded. A bartender in the front bar was really rude, waving his hand in my face after I tried calling his attention because he tended to people who came after me. Also, be weary of the vending machines in the patio, an item was stuck and no one from the staff could help us. $10 down the drain. I went to see Kaskade last night and had a terrible experence. They seriously over sold tickets for this show. It was so jam packed it was nearly impossible to get anywhere. People were forced to try to enjoy the show from the patio of the club that has no speakers or view of the stage. Security was extremely aggressive and rude. The lay out of the venue was not made for dance music shows. The dj booth is so high up, you cant really see any of the visuals or the dj if on the dance floor. Ive been here a few times and i can easily say that you will come here once and never back again read more

Stay away from this Club, I was already leery about going in the first place but was going to support a DJ friend that was spinning there that night. It was supposed to be free entry before 11:00PM and then got changed to 10:30. We arrived at 10:15PM and was denied entry without tickets. I told the door guy that we were guests and called my buddy out to try to get us in but they would not allow it. So $20 for parking and if we wanted to get in it was $50 a person. Door staff was extremely rude and we will never set foot inside that club. It won't be long before it folds, people will not consistently pay those steep fees when there are other venues with better show for a fraction of the price!!! Be warned and stay away!! read more

I'll make this review short & sweet. The wait time for accessing the event (Kaskade) was quite fast and efficient. The concept of security was obsolete to this venue, it was a solid 150 occupants over capacity, and a guaranteed 100% chance at getting reared and/or drinks spilt on you the entire night. The amount of ticket over sale and money hungry management truly made this venue and the experience, disgusting. I personally feel bad for Kaskade, given he had at least 40 "entitled" individuals hovering over his back the entire night, not even being able to focus on mixing his set.
