Big Mac pizza
Amanda N.

Well this happened. First time ordering here. All toppings slid off, never seen a Big Mac pizza with sliced tomatoes instead of diced, let alone putting them under the cheese so nothing stuck to the crust. The lettuce pictured was added by myself, no visible lettuce on top came with it. Flavor was good, crust was perfect thickness. Just disappointed at the execution.

Calzone

Very nice and cozy pizza spot at the train station in Andover. I was working in the area and saw the sign, I decided to try and loved it. I ordered mozzarella sticks and Broccoli Chicken calzone, it was delicious! Every now and then I catch myself thinking about it... Such a shame is kind of far from where I live but I will definitely come back when I'm in the area. Parking may be difficult.

Burnt pizza, every time?! What a waste of a dinner plan. Salads used to be decent but thank god Sal's is in town and they don't overcook!

I've been going here for years, and the owners are very friendly people. The pizza is amazing and they are usually my go to stop in town.

We happen upon this place in Andover, because we were going to the big picture framing shop right…read moreby it. It looked good, it smelled good, and they were plenty of people inside. When I checked yelp, it had really good reviews too, so it was worth the try. I was really impressed with the ordering experience. They knew what they were doing. And if this obviously wasn't their first place. Although the chicken Shawarma was hanging and could be cut at any time dripping with juices, they actually had a container full already cut chicken Shawarma. Looks really, really juicy fresh and yummy. So we would pass on Shwarma next time. Too bad. For the dinners, two shows chicken Shawarma one chose halloumi salad, and one chose falafel plate. For the sides, we tried the hummus, vermicelli, rice, regular potatoes, spicy potatoes, Fattoush salad, and all looked really good. The atmosphere looks to be the type that I wouldn't really want to sit and have a romantic dinner at, but it does have a nice bar on the side, and there were a few people sitting and enjoying the trick with their food. We got takeout. The chicken Shawarma was pretty dry, and could have used a little bit more spice. We got the garlic aïoli on the side, and it matched it well. The hummus is excellent consistency, but needs a bit more spice also. Perhaps some of the dry spice they sell in the store. The halloumi on top of the salad is excellent. Really excellent. We drove a half hour to get home, so the halloumi was no longer warm, but that's expected. The salad under the halloumi, was really good. Very fresh, a bit different with the mandarin oranges, raisins, and slivered, almonds, and it all went well together. The dressing that comes with it, is the fig, balsamic vinaigrette, and that tasted just like a bottled fig balsamic glaze. It's the sticky very strong taste, and it was perfect on the salad and the cheese. Tabouli was great taste and yummy. So fresh. Disappointed in the pita, wish they were cooked in house. Cookies for dessert were pretty amazing. Homemade in house and they tasted it, and though they were kind of pricey, we would probably get them again. We really liked this place. 4 stars because of the dry shwarma.

Plant based Korean burger was not great. Soggy from the sauce and slaw, very spicy (to me!), and…read moredid not capture that burger mouth feel. Their specialty ice coffee is aight. Tastes watered down. REGARDLESS, ALL THE STARS IN THE WORLD for their drinks. The peach shaken ice tea and raspberry rose teas have every complex note they describe. I'm jaded by all the fruity drinks/tea blends out there that are just too sweet and artificial. Nan's makes it perfectly. The white peach actually shines through, which is rare in my experience. The raspberry is REAL. Speaking as someone who enjoys artificial raspberry flavors of jam donuts and bottled ice tea...idk if Nan's makes it for real, but, if so, you can taste it! You still taste the tea, the fruits, the florals, it's not watered down, and best of all--not overtly sweet. Their fruit drinks have the perfect balance. It's genuinely refreshing and delicious. I find myself craving their teas all the time!!

**We found our new favorite spot!**…read more My partner and I stumbled upon Nan's Kitchen and what a delightful discovery it was! As first-timers, we were treated with such warmth and patience by the staff - no pressure, no rush, just genuine hospitality that made us feel right at home. We started by sharing the hatch chili farro bowl with roasted cauliflower and hominy, fragrant ginger carrots, and lemon mustard salmon. The tomato harissa sauce and zhoug were absolutely incredible - seriously, these sauces are to die for! Everything was perfectly seasoned and the flavors were so well-balanced. Pictures are not perfect, but the lighting was so warm and comfortable, you will have to excuse them! Halfway through our meal, I spotted they had coconut carrot soup with chickpeas and ginger on the menu and literally ran back to order a cup. We ended up sharing that too, and it was such a smart move - the soup was aromatic and comforting with just the right amount of spice from the ginger. To drink, we had fresh lemonade and iced tea (both perfectly refreshing), and couldn't resist finishing with their banana pudding, which was the perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal. What really stood out beyond the exceptional food was how accommodating and friendly the service was. They made splitting dishes feel completely natural and were so welcoming when I dashed back for that soup! The attention to flavor and seasoning here is remarkable - every single component of our meal was thoughtfully prepared. We're already planning our next visit. Nan's Kitchen has absolutely earned a permanent spot on our regular rotation! Highly recommend for anyone looking for fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared food with service that makes you feel like family.

The baked goods were definitely the highlight, I loved everything I tried on the food side. I saw they have ice cream as well! The latte was not great, I think maybe it's a machine or something. The milk was not steamed or anything like that, so lattes are not their strong suit. Coffee and tea, however, looked great, I'll likely try those next.

Lulu's Lunchbox is hands down one of the best spots in the area for a quick, high-quality meal…read more Their coffee is excellent--smooth, rich, and made with ethically sourced, fair-trade beans. The lattes are especially good and always perfectly made. Their food is just as great. The chicken shawarma is my go-to for lunch--flavorful, fresh, and reasonably priced. But what really impressed me were the pastries. I once ordered a selection of cakes and pastries for a family birthday, and everything was beautifully made and absolutely delicious. The pistachio baklava was the highlight--so good that people were literally competing for the last piece. I used to live in this neighborhood a long time ago and have seen a lot of businesses come and go in this little corner of Ballardvale. Lulu's is easy to miss since it's near the train tracks, but it's absolutely worth finding. The family who runs it is incredibly kind and welcoming--once, I was late picking up an order because of traffic, and they stayed open just to make sure I got my food. That kind of service is rare. It's also great to finally have more diverse food options in the Andover area, and Lulu's Lunchbox is a fantastic addition. If you're looking for a spot with great coffee, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere, definitely check them out.

The Naanza is absolutely delicious, every flavor is bursting through and the textures are perfection, would highly recommend. The chopped kachumber salad was very fresh. The lychee martini was a little too sweet and the chai martini was too milky for my liking. There are a lot of interesting cocktails on the menu so I'd like to try something different next time. For food I ordered the Samosa Bliss and the iron pan (kadhai) hit with paneer and a side of garlic naan. The samosas were delicious: crispy on the outside and well-seasoned on the inside with a tangy sauce. The paneer was excellent in terms of portion size and texture. I would have preferred basmati rice with the entree instead of the yellow rice and more garlic on the naan, but overall it was a satisfying meal. There isn't a dessert menu but they have a case with a variety of Indian sweets. Service was very attentive and felt like you were eating at a family's home. Lots of nearby street parking. As with many older New England buildings, the entrance is a little tight and has a few steps so it may be difficult for some people to enter. I look forward to visiting again!
