I received a bad haircut 2+ years ago at a different salon and I was finally feeling like I could go and get my haircut again. I was very careful when researching salons and thought this place would be a good fit. I mentioned in my booking that this was my first haircut in a while due to a bad experience and told my stylist. The salon also asked for pictures of my hair and sent a questionnaire asking what I wanted. I said multiple times that I wanted long layers and to keep most of my length. That did not happen. The stylist kept length in the back and gave me very short layers and I do not like the very poofy, volumized look. When I have gotten curly cuts in the past, it's like they are carving my curls with their scissors and making them fall nicely. The stylist here took portions of my hair and pulled them to the opposite side of my head to cut and give me very short layers. When dried, the curls get muddled together and do not even fall nicely. I feel like I have a shelf of short curls around my head. I wear my hair up and I cannot even wear it braided due to all the layers. When I shower I am reminded of what a hack job of a haircut I received and get sad all over again. Having mentioned my troubled past with haircuts in the booking (and in person), I thought that they would be very careful when cutting my hair. I am aware that my past heightens my current disappointment, but I think it is still worth to note to prospective customers that they are not able to achieve long layers.

Being a guy it's hard to find a hair place, where the stylists know what they are doing and don't empty my wallet. Luckily Everythings Hair fills that void. But she talks a lot during appointments and seems to lose track of time, and I believe that's exactly what happened here. There was no timer used, and my hair was washed out in sections, far too late. From the beginning, I made it very clear that avoiding damage was my top concern. I even said I'd rather tone darker and use less bleach if needed -- and that was totally ignored. After the rinse, I parted my hair for the cut and immediately noticed stringy, broken strands. I panicked and expressed my concern, but was told this was "normal," which I know from past experience it is absolutely not. I continued pointing out the damage, and rather than acknowledging it, the stylist became visibly annoyed and shifted the conversation to distract me. I was devastated -- and still am. I only received a 10% discount and a take-home treatment, which I honestly don't think will help at this point. I paid $278 and was in the salon from 12 to almost 5 p.m., which is excessive, especially considering my hair isn't even that dark anymore. It had grown out to medium brown with some coppery foils left -- this shouldn't have taken that long, and it definitely shouldn't have left me with missing hair.

Other facials I have received have always felt a bit "going through the motions" at various points or throughout all of the facial. With Michele, her passion for esthetics and her client's needs are so evident not in how she talks, but in every part of each service. I have had my eyebrows waxed and tinted by Michele. I was so nervous about the color being too dark, and she listened to me, explained what she was doing the entire time, and then showed me right away. They were perfect. The facial I received from Michele truly (as I said above) was life changing for me in the way I care for my skin. Michele treated my skin as it were gold - slowing down, assessing its needs, using the best products - and it changed my skin regimen completely. I slow down now and care for my skin - I cannot believe how incredible my skin looks. I've never received so many compliments nor have I ever had this much confidence going make up free.
