Not a good experience here. One therapy session had my 5 month old son in tears. After our current…read morephysical therapist left, we were assigned another one. I notified the front desk that since I would not be present at his appointment that I'd like to speak to the new physical therapist to get to know her and ask how the session went. I never received a phone call. After speaking to the therapist, my response was "Well, we don't give out patient information." I reminded her that I'm the patient's parent and he's 5 months old. Speaking to the office manager led to me being told that we missed three appointments (we missed two) and that we would no longer be able to come back. Not happy.

Unisource was the facility where Dr. G did my surgery and it was great. Dr. Guettler was such an amazing Orthopedic Surgeon. He walked me through the process and was very good with explaining what I needed and what to expect with my recovery. He also was great when it came to my post care follow up. He made sure I was 100% before sending me back to work. I'm so glad I decided to go to the Michigan Orthopedic Surgeons Group and Dr. Guettler! If you're dealing with a sports medicine injury you Definitely should consider going to Michigan Orthopedic Surgeons Group and Dr. Guettler!!

The staff were excellent for therapy and very friendly. My shoulder has healed completely and I do believe it is because of the results from Athletico. their staff taught me how to rehabilitate my shoulder and also how to continue doing exercises on my own so that I could continue to progress after my sessions were done. Their therapists seemed knowledgeable in the techniques they were using and had a wide variety of approaches to helping me. The staff knew my name when I walked in the door every day and went out of their way to be very welcoming. The equipment was reasonably well-maintained and kept clean each day. The facility was also clean and well lit and inviting. However, this is a four star review for a few important and consistent reasons: I always felt like they were overbooked and understaffed. I never saw the same therapist twice in a row for the months that I had regular appointments multiple times a week. It always seemed like whoever was available would read my chart and then decide on the fly what to do that day. They would often have to ask each other questions about what I had done the day before in order to decide what to do with me today. They did not have appointments available that worked with my schedule. Even booking weeks in advance they could not seem to find any convenient time spots for me. This meant I had to either leave work hours early twice a week and lose income or get up 2 hours earlier than I would normally get up to go to appointments before work because they just could not accommodate me with any convenient schedule. All in all I would say that I definitely recommend AthletiCo for physical therapy, but there are some real admin, staffing, or management issues that could use improvement in order to make the experience feel much better.

I have been seeing Julia for the past few months for a low back injury. I've seen a couple of other pts and wasn't seeing much improvement. My goal is to return to sport and Julia is always thinking outside of the box and tailoring my exercise routine to the specific movements that are painful/challenging. She is very knowledgeable and dedicated to helping me reach my goals. The techs are great as well. One other thing I love about athletico is that they offer free injury screenings so that you can figure out what direction you need to go in without spending a ton of money (mri, X-rays, doctors, etc.)

I chose HealthQuest Physical Therapy over my usual PT clinic due to their availability. I was…read moresurprised to learn the business is owned by a physical therapy assistant (PTA) rather than a physical therapist, although a licensed PT is on staff. Their online reviews are impressive, which influenced my decision. I began therapy in April 2025 for mild lower back discomfort that appeared only in the mornings. I had no pain or major physical limitations -- just some minor restrictions unrelated to this issue. After my first visit and following instructions to perform two sets of simple exercises before getting out of bed, my discomfort improved by 75-80%. I also acknowledged that I likely need a new mattress. To keep this review clear, I've outlined my experience in pros and cons: Pros: 1. The staff is friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. Insurance was billed accurately. Appointments were easy to book and reschedule. 2. I was given helpful at-home exercises. 3. Parking was convenient and readily available. Cons: 1. While treatment tables were wiped and pillowcases changed between patients, I never saw equipment cleaned after use. 2. There was inconsistency in instructions from different staff members. 3. Appointments often started late due to overcrowding in a small room. 4. The most concerning issue -- and the primary reason for this review -- was an inaccurate and misleading progress letter meant for my referring physician. Out of curiosity, I opened the letter -- and was shocked. The description did not reflect my actual condition or capabilities. For example, it claimed I was "unable to sit or stand for long periods of time." This is completely untrue: I regularly walk over three miles a day (logged on my Apple Watch), climb stairs at home throughout the day, and have no difficulty with either activity. When I raised my concerns, the PTA who wrote the letter and the owner, Kelly Schmitz both responded. Kelly apologized and attempted to justify the false claims, stating I had once mentioned back soreness after a 17-hour travel day. While that was true, it was a temporary and isolated issue -- not a chronic limitation. Still, it was misrepresented in the letter. It also inaccurately stated that I had issues with squatting and lifting -- again, not true. I participate in a group exercise class where I routinely perform about 200 squats per session without issue. Regarding balance, I disclosed during my first visit that I have mild MS-related balance issues, which I've managed for over a decade. This has never affected my ability to drive, wear heels, walk my dog, or complete daily activities. The report falsely stated that this impacted my ability to complete basic ADLs (activities of daily living) -- like bathing, dressing, or eating -- which is absolutely not the case. I've never experienced those limitations at any point in my life. Final Thoughts: If you choose HealthQuest, I strongly urge you to review all documentation they provide before forwarding it to any physician. Inaccurate reporting like this could lead to unnecessary treatment, higher medical costs, and incorrect medical records. Because of this experience, I will not return to HealthQuest.
