She worked out all of my upper body knots and I walked out of there blissed out. When I arrived I was sore and stiff from bad posture and standing all day at work. She really took the time to work out every tense area, which was very impressive because most massage therapists I've seen in the past don't do that, they spend a few minutes here and there and that's it. But Lauren expertly applied pressure when I needed it most and really made sure she got the knots out. I can't wait for the next appointment! I dropped in, and she said it'd be an hour, so I left. That was 430pm on mon or tues. Then I returned thurs, at 1015am. She took me, and then another person showed up for a 1hr massage. When she was done with me, she said "maybe you call next time". I guess. 2) She went in reverse order, starting with my butt/legs first. Thats okay, but her technique was coarse. Im not complaining about the pressure, because I can take a hard massage. But when she used her elbows, she would go back and forth in a scraping motion, which was weird to me. Also she was ineffective in locating the tendons, instead applying hard elbows to soft tissue. 3) My shoulders needed the most attention and she barely touched them. Most people carry tension in their shoulders and back, its not a mystery. All in all, it was pricey and not great. $52 (45 plus tip) for 30 mins of mediocrity. I actually considered driving straight to oakland mall and getting another massage. And I probably would have, if it weren't for my car troubles.

There was a clear lack of professional massage knowledge, and the service did not meet even basic expectations. I felt overcharged for the level of massage skill provided. I will not return to this location and do not recommend it to anyone seeking a genuine massage, unless they are specifically looking for a different type of service.

His massage technique is top notch! I prefer therapeutic deep tissue massage that is the "painful good" type to get out all my knots. His sense of touch is innate and knows how to adjust pressure appropriately. I am in an euphoric state during his massages because all the knots in my back and legs are released and I am totally relaxed. Although I prefer a deep deep tissue massage, I know he is well versed in many different types of massages.
