We did curbside pickup and the young lady who brought out the pizza was very nice and friendly. The young man I spoke with on the phone was also helpful, I called to confirm the gluten-free options since I had just eaten at another location on my engagement night back in November. I was disappointed that they removed the regular gluten-free crust for the Mia pizza. Not everyone likes cauliflower crust, and I really hope they consider bringing it back. It is still available on the larger pizzas, so I wish it was consistent across all sizes. On a positive note, I really like their Caesar dressing. I noticed it has changed since the last time I had it, and it's definitely an improvement much creamier instead of oily, and overall tastes a lot better. On the menu the projutto and pineapple sounds great but the pizza was not good. two tiny pieces of pineapple, minimal cheese for over $20! Salad was ok as were the bread sticks. I talked my husband into lunch at this local place. I use to come here back when it first opened and my experience this time was nothing like it use to be. The location was dirty there were several napkins on the floor rolled up and a lot of trash under the areas around the bar. They used one full side of the bar for To go pizza boxes and Misc cleaning items. The bar area wasn't wiped prior to us sitting. The food we order was just ok. Mia pizza with a salad and a panini. When our order was initially take up front the staff member didn't explain the menu therefore we were over charged for a good portion of our meal, I did ask the sever and they corrected the salads and sides options. A fire that is visible from the bar, and every seat in the restaurant. I got there at 5:30, ordered, got a place to sit, and crossed my fingers that they'd be done in time for my 6:30 group. They were. The service is top notch. I got the salad, which I ate, all of it, then my iced tea remained full. I got my 6 inch pizza, and it was fantastic.4 little prices, which is perfect. The taste, grand. Nice that they offer this all the time, not just at lunch hours. I really like this place.It's close enough for me to take out of town guests, which exactly is what I thought of. I love the decor with the open kitchen and large bar with the modern concrete top and the concrete theme carried into the restroom. ( sink and walls) The witty staff and excellent pizza crust served piping hot rounds out my dining experience. I like how I could see all the wine offerings up close because of a user friendly display. And then there's the special touch of the platters that the pizza is served on- a beautiful handmade ceramic pizza plate. I'd buy one! I'm not giving a 5 because when I inquired about the nutrition info, I was told it's on the website. I would have liked to see the info on the spot and not be directed to the website or ap. And my dinning partner has finished his beer for at least 10 minutes and hasn't been asked if he'd like to order another. I'm here to proclaim the proper 4-star rating Yelpers have given this location to be spot on. I've been hearing about SPIN for awhile but this my first experience. Was headed somewhere I go only very occasionally, needed to grab something relatively quick minus the fuss, and SPIN turned out to be a good option. Beautiful interior design, open space, comfortable and relaxed. You can see everything going on which is not always a plus in a restaurant but didn't detract on this visit. Margherita pizza, 12 inch. Simple. Glass of water. I see you put some seasonings and just enough salt into the crust that it's worth eating the "bones" that are left over. Red sauce was fragrant with hints of garlic and olive oil and plenty of tomato chunks but nothing overpowering. Basil was fresh and had enough taste to make a true basil gardener like myself smile. I noted the selections of bottled wines when I walked in the door. Wasn't to be by myself and that's a plus. A nice Free State Beer on tap had this Lawrence guy smiling in Lee's Summit. Plenty of good drink options. NOTE: bathroom was sparking clean. Thank you.
