I was a first timer here and I am a fan! The environment was very relaxed and smells amazing. Walking in, you order what you want and find a place to sit. The seating is rather odd, you may have to breakaway some tables from each other or it could be awkward. I split the Tre Carni Pizza and wooooooooo it was good. The meat was perfect and the cheese was falling everywhere. It's also the perfect size for couples so no need for ordering like a personal pan pizza. Afterwards, I enjoyed their infamous gelato. I am such a fan of gelato and theirs was delicious! I couldn't get enough of it and I am disappointed I decided to split that also. The downer for me was the service. I had like 4 different people come to my table but no one refilled my drink and I had to practically call servers over to get service. I was a little disappointed. Plus I had no idea who to tip since I saw so many people. It could have been an off day but it made me upset. Other than that it's delicious! I will have to go again and just hope for better servers! read more

This is one of the more underwhelming pizza places I have been to. The pizza was okay but was not nearly worth how much it cost. You're also "suggested" to tip the waiter/waitress even though they provide zero continuous service throughout your meal. The service is good enough and the ambience is relatively nice. There are far better options to choose from in the surrounding area that I will most likely not be returning here. read more

SPIN! gets 5 stars from me because I honestly can't find fault in anything. Restaurant is stylish and open air style. You can view the wood fired pizza oven, which is pretty cool. I'm also a bathroom snob, and their bathrooms are clean and pleasant to look at. Food is great. I usually get the Mia, which consists of salad and a small pizza. The #14 pizza is my fave. It's entirely devoured every time. Salads are fresh and not soggy. Coupons and discounts are frequent, so the price doesn't both me. No issues with service here. Bonus: they have gelato. Delicious. read more

On a recent visit, I inadvertently ordered my meal incorrectly. I brought this to the attention of the manager and who immediately brought me another meal with several different options for my salad. Not only was this delicious but the the best part of the meal. I highly recommend this establishment not only for their food but their excellent customer service. read more

I guess if there is an all American meal it's pizza. I know, it's from another country--But,trust me we eat far more than they do. We arrived at Spins for lunch on a Sunday afternoon in a large group (12) and they were so happy they closed a register. Then they kept on calling small groups ahead of us while the manager stood around. Being up front this review does not get better. So you may choose to stop here with the words 'this place stinks!!!!' We finally had a register person who must have been new to the trade--as they continued to process 2-3 times as many people at the other register. Noteworthy, the place was about half full. If you can't keep up on Sunday, you're in trouble. Service: Our first member of the group received their pizza one-hour prior to the 12th person. Drinks required begging for refills. The food: Average to below average pizza. The pizza is skimpy with a weird tasting crust. They're pretty small too. An average eater should add a side or go for a bigger pizza. Think Pizza Hut for quality...except skimpier and not as good. Yeah that bad. The price: For the price of Jack Stacks Combo Platter you can have lousy pizza and service. Go to Jack's! When you mess up the all American meal and fail in service you get a bad rating. 1-Star terrible. read more

It took 45 minutes to get any of our food. Our drinks were never refilled. Our order was wrong. Usually we love Spin, but lately the service has gone down hill. We are bummed because it was our go to place but we have been unhappy the last several times we have gone. :( read more

This location is always clean and tidy. The staff is nice and very attentive to the customers. The pizza was cooked to perfection, not under done and not burnt! I loved how my pizza tasted and how it was made with fresh tomatoes and basil. Highly recommend! read more

The cauliflower crust is so tasty.. much better (& healthier) than dough crust. Had the veggie pizza with no cheese & the Greek salad. Presentation was impressive & the taste even better. We paired our meal with the blood orange sangria..definitely enjoyed! read more

The SPIN Neapolitan Pizza location in Lee's Summit was our destination Sunday afternoon. It definitely lived up to my expectations, based upon our visits to the mid-town location. The menu is familiar and I enjoyed splitting a full Spinach and Goat Cheese Salad (my absolute favorite salad on their menu) and a Lemon Ricotta and Olive Oil with Rosemary Flatbread Platter with Dear Daughter #2 as she treated me to an early Mother's Day lunch. The location is decorated to look and feel very much like the Plaza SPIN Pizza that I have visited. The service is similar, in that customers order up front; are given a numbered block and find their own seating. A server delivers the ordered drinks soon after and the food is brought to the table when it is ready. Both the salad and the flatbread platter were crafted with care and featured fresh and tasty ingredients, as I've come to expect from SPIN! Our service was efficient and pleasant. It was a warm and sunny, Sunday afternoon and the patio was enjoying a busy, boisterous crowd. DD#2 and I decided to sit inside which started out a little more quiet but, since many others were enjoying a lovely Sunday, by the time we left it was much more crowded as well. SPIN Neapolitan Pizza in Lee's Summit, is a handy 15 minutes from our house and I expect we will be visiting again soon. read more

Uh? Where's the cheese? I had been here once before, a few years back in fact, came back against my better judgement because I had a coupon, which I received the last time, and now I recall why. It appears that they have an Italian pizza menu for birds. I was a bit apprehensive at the counter when ordering. The first down was that with all appearance of some top class pizzeria they had no calzones in their menu. The choices were not too elaborate and way simple. The man at the counter suggested the "primavera" because we mostly wanted a combination style pizza, and we could add the pepperoni and sausage to this for a closer to combo pizza. The pizza promised "mozzarella" keep this in mind (more later). My husband and I both ordered the 6 inch personal size and side salad. I had the spinach and goat cheese salad, and I suspected that it would have goat cheese. I think I counted two specs of cheese, if that. The salad was very mediocre for a spinach and goat cheese salad, I've had better variations of this type. Additionally, some of the spinach was a little wilted, maybe due to the vinaigrette? My husband and I agreed that the pizza should be decent since the restaurant was pretty empty. However, when the pizza arrived, the waiter was a bit more positive about what he was serving us announcing, "Now this looks like a real pizza." He may have said this because we added the meat. I can't imagine what this 6 inch thing would have been without it. My first comment to my husband was, "they forgot the cheese." When the gentleman whom we ordered our food from stopped and asked how it was, I mentioned if it was supposed to come with mozzarella. He affirmed that it does and pointed out the little specs, and claimed that this is most to the authentic style. I laughed. It is true that in Italy it is quite common to have a personal size pizza, yet it has cheese! I have visited several places in Italy and the Italians love their cheese! If you want a great wood fired personal pizza with a taste that I recall go to Pizzeria Locale, same price but won't disappoint. On an added note, the gentleman did see that we were not pleased and brought us a $10 coupon for next time. I recalled this is how I came back in the first place. read more

The food here is alway good, I really enjoy the knew cauliflower crust on their pizza! It's the crispiest!

Good family friendly atmosphere. Wonderful salads. Pizza was delicious. Yesterday was my first time there. I did not like that you had to stand at the entrance, select your foods (feel rushed when ppl are behind you!) then go wait at our table...OR, go sit down, select your foods from the menu & then have to walk back up to the front to place your order: BROKEN SYSTEM!!! Gelato was tasty (it's good to end on a good note). read more

Spin Pizza is best known for their... um... I'm not sure, perhaps their ability to consistently exist in the third dimension or something. I'll admit their pizza is decent and quasi-unique, but they've got three major strikes against them: 1. Fairly expensive, 2. Pizzas composed of 90% grease, 3. Their biggest pizza size, a large, can be easily inserted and stored inside a standard CD player. At least the interior of the restaurant is decent, even though it resembles a Johnson County coffee shop. As is normal in all Lee's Summit eating establishments, tank tops are allowed but not encouraged. read more

Saturday night, it took until 930 pm for hunger to hit. We had a coupon for Spin!, so Spin! it was. We have been hesitant to try Spin! because every time we drive by the place is empty. Obviously, its not that good or it would be busier was what we thought. As soon as we walked in (they close at 10) we were met with a friendly face...not a scowl face like you get at most places getting ready to close. We told the guy we had never been to Spin! before and he seemed excited to tell us about his faves and what not. Very helpful! I ordered the Margherita with portabellas and my bf got the Patate with prosciutto. While we waited on our take out the GM came over to visit with us and told us about their Spin! club. We signed up. He chatted with us until our pizzas arrived. WOW! Talk about service. He told us about the concept and the company...all interesting stuff and made us really anxious to try our food. The aroma of the pizzas tempted us all the way home. The pizzas were stellar! My tomatoes were juicy and warm, cooked just the right amount. The basil was fresh and flavorful...and oh my, the portabellas...scrumptious! The crust, just how I like it...thin but not overly airy, moist and just a hint of garlic. I can't speak for the bf, but there were a lot of "oh this good and mmmm's" coming from his side of the table. We're anxious to try Spin! again. This time we want to dine in and try some of their other menu items including some truly tempting sounding libations! read more

When those I was visiting in Lee's Summit for the first time before moving here told me, "We want to treat you to the best pizza place in town!," I thought - sounds kind of boring. Everywhere has pizza - can we have something more authentically local, please? Then we visited Spin! Pizza and I was a believer. This is one of the many of this local chain in the KC area and it by far my favorite. Great location in the largest shopping center in town; lots of parking; clean facility. This Spin! is also SUPER involved in the community and hosts bike rides for charity. ALSO - Spin Club Membership = lots of free stuff for coming back often, including straight-up Spin! cash! The staff here is fun and laid back. Let's not forget the food. The best part, indeed. I rarely stray away from the caramelized onion and goat cheese wheat pizza with 8-color salad and white wine. Though let's not lie - I've probably tried every veggie-friendly thing on their menu - from their pizzas, wheat pizzas, gluten-free pizzas, panini's, sandwiches, salads, etc. And of course end it with their perfect gelato. And then a nap because I ate so much - but not nasty greasy so much... I just couldn't get enough of this stuff! If you are showing out-of-towners around Lee's Summit, I would recommend taking them here. They won't leave disappointed! read more

I went a few weeks ago with my girlfriend and her son and order a couple of pizzas to go. While we were waiting for our pies, we decided to have a seat at the bar. I was amazed at how well the bartender was able to ignore me. I made eye contact a few times, but she never asked me if I wanted something to drink. She wasn't alone either, about half of the employees were around the bar area and not one saw the opportunity for a drink sale. The food was good and the restaurant itself was nice. I do want to go back again, but next time get a table and hope for better service. read more

The food was delicious. I was visiting from out of town and lunch with family. However, I signed a receipt for $10 including tip and when I got my credit card statement it was $11. How did it go from $10 to $11? Seems like someone changed the receipt. I know it's only $1 but that is theft and credit card fraud. Shame on you Spin Pizza! read more

We use to love this place but the quality and service just don't seem to be the same as it use to be. The guys making the pizza dough are having contest to see who could be the loudest when throwing it on the counter and if they shocked any customers. Stay tuned we will go back and we hope the bring this place back to a notch spot. read more

I love SPIN! because I love the Pizza Mia combo. I like the small, individual pizzas, because BF can then have his classic unadulterated four-cheese while I can play around with pine nuts and rosemary roasted potato slices and goat cheese and artichokes and pesto in lieu of red sauce and the like. Specialty pizza can be hit-or-miss, but the quality chewy dough with just the right amount of give and a great texture really complements the toppings well. The eight-color salad also never disappoints as a side, especially with the red wine vinaigrette. I've foregone the pizza to have an entree-sized eight-color salad, and I'm SO not a "I'll just have the salad" girl. Some people don't dig the ordering at the register setup, but I've never been rushed through, and just sort of hang back and peruse the menus that are back at the end of the line if I don't know what I want yet, so it works for me. I can see how the number of options can be a little overwhelming to somebody who's never been there before, though. read more

I love the food here. It is one of my favorite pizza places. Just wish the service would get better. I would have given it more stars except every time I come here it is like pulling teeth to get my drink refilled or to get a to go box. I've resorted to always going to the bar to get a to go box. And I've been here multiple times so this is not a one off. Maybes it's the location. Will have try a different site. read more

Love, Love, Love Spin! The list of ingredients to choose from for their pizza is incredible! Their pizza is always fantastic! Also, really like their salads, they are always fresh and unique. My son and I visited the Spin! off of 135th and loved the pizza. This past weekend, we decided to try the restaurant near our house. It was disappointing. The staff was friendly and accommodating but the pizza left a lot to be desired. It was over cooked so when we took a bite of a slice, the entire top of the pizza came off in one piece. My son, who loves pizza, refused to eat his piece after a couple of bites. I'm hoping we will return and have a better experience. Until then, I can only give three stars. read more

Don't kill me, but I took my review of the Olathe Spin and more or less copy and pasted it here...sue me, but I had the exact (seriously, exact) same experience at both, so it's a proper reflection still: Spin has always provided me with a really good pie and friendly service. The options for toppings are really good quality and I love that you can make the pizza as inventive or basic as your little heart desires. The wine options are good, with several bottles at OK (not great) prices. Spin gives a good alternative for a cross between fast food pizza and sit down pizza. You can get a good pizza, a bottle of wine, sit down with your significant other and just enjoy yourselves at a decent price. I have only sat outside here, so I am not sure how loud it gets inside. Outside, on a nice day, can be nice and quiet and relaxing (better than the Olathe one since it's more removed from the busy street nearby) read more

Excellent option for a quick lunch during the workweek that isn't fast food. I always get the deal where you get a mini-mia pizza (any of their specialities or a 2 topping) and a half salad for $8ish [add a drink for an extra dollar]. I've tried many of the different salads and pizza and have never been disappointed. The staff are all very friendly and attentive..almost too attentive sometimes. You order and pay up front and then go sit down. From there the wait staff bring you your drink and food. I dont know if it is because they are trying to work extra hard to get a tip or what, but they are constantly checking on you (again, thats not bad..just gets a bit much). I was very impressed today when they accidentally messed up my order (I asked for no mushrooms on my pizza and they made it with mushrooms). They realized it while they were bringing it to the table. So they gave me that pizza (my dining companions ate it) and then brought me a whole other pizza (yeah for double pizza!). read more

Spin used to be so packed on weekend nights that it took a while to get in. Clearly something has changed. We requested our salad before our pizza & it all came out at the same time. Our waitress was hard to find and the rest of the staff seemed to wander around aimlessly. Our iced tea was more like lightly tinted water. We were finished before it was remade. My husband had to go to the bar to get a box. The pizza was good, but overall a big disappointment. Edit: I will say that after my husband had to go to the bar to get a box, management came over to apologize and comp our meal (which we didn't expect or ask for). read more

The pizza was meh! It was okay. The Greek salad was very good. My husband liked his spicy Italian beef panini. I had a individual cheese, feta and olives. The sauce was bland and not enough of it. I think it was way too pricey to stand in line cafeteria style then sit down and have waiters walking around asking how you are doing, expecting a tip. Might as well sit down and be served. The atmosphere was nice and comfy but still overpriced. I wanted to try something new and Waldo's was swarming with kids. May give it a second try. Perhaps have a large Greek salad and try a different pizza with EXTRA sauce. read more

I really wanted to like this place as I'm like any normal person and a huge pizza fan. Their menu looked promising, but I'm sad to say that in the end, I was very unimpressed. I tried the three meat pizza and while I will admit that the flavors of the pizza were good, the price for a large was a little too high for the size of pizza and it was barely enough to share between two people. Just based on that, I doubt that I will go back seeing as the KC area has plenty of delicious pizza offerings. read more

We Love this place! Great atmosphere and the pizza was delicious. They have a wide variety of toppings and interesting and surprising combinations. We would eat here once a week if we could! Absolutely worth a try for lunch. You can see the dough being made in house! First off, you can get a lunch combo for a small pizza and a half salad for around $7.95 everyday. On Tuesday's a 12" pizza is $7.95. To top it off they have a great beer/wine list and gelato for dessert. You can always sample before you buy. Nice decor , pizza little to no sauce, cheese or toppings ordered 3 different pizzas the mushroom one had a half a mushroom on each slice, pepperoni pizza had one pepperoni on each slice so basically if you like crust which is good, this is your place ! And the gelato was gross we took one bite of each of ours and had waitress throw it away. read more
