The organization of music here is easy and super friendly for anyone who may have a short amount of time to browse, like I did when I came in. I stopped in quickly while passing through Waco on a work road trip and I was glad I did. I lucked out and found parking directly in front of the shop which allowed me to spend more time in the shop. From newly released vinyl for any artist to gently used vinyl there is plenty to find here. I was able to find a brand new LP from a early 2000's artist here and was super pleased with the pricing. Pricing here is super reasonable and the collection is high-quality and admirable. I was finding artists and albums I didn't know I wanted until I came here :) There was an older couple in here watching a music video on the large projection screen at the back of the shop. It was such a nice soundtrack to have as I did my browsing. I learned, from maybe talking to the owner, that this shop is only going to expand and will continue to have live music shows in the shop with the store/place next door. It was delightful to hear that this shop is going to be expand and invite more folks to come in and hang around good music and vibes. I will definitely be back in the future and bring my vinyl collector friends with me when I am in the area again.

One of the best selling points and features of Piranha is that for every $20 spent, you get a $1 wooden coin back, so you get a 20:1 ratio of money back on all purchases. It may not mean much, but after stockpiling 15 wooden coins and blowing them on a record, the feeling is unbeaten. The staff is humorous and great. After Record Store Day last year, I pulled up after failing to grab a copy of the Blue Notes Alts n Ins record, and the owner gave me props for grabbing it because he personally thought it was one of the coolest releases in the collection. He asked if I had come there just to buy it or stumbled upon it. I told him I was seeking it out, and I got the nod of approval. Best day of my life. Since then, Docs has been or first choice for vinyl purchases of all levels. We are not collectors, really. I'm fine with a $7 Led Zeppelin disc with some magic marker on it as long as the vinyl plays well. We try to keep it $15 or under per record, though we've broken this rule a few times. At that level, there are always fun finds here at Docs. The selection is large in all genres. We found all three Stealer's Wheel records in a single trip. My rare 70s rock like Be-Bop Deluxe, Crack The sky, and Sweet comes through regularly at reasonable prices. And don't forget to check the new arrivals bin. Highly recommended!

I appreciate the clear and beautifully written (easy to read too!) labels for every single artist in their respective genre sections. There is no guessing whether they have the artist you want or not. You can even see, across the aisle from you, what artists are on the opposite aisle from you at just a glance. Doc's labels their record tabs front AND back! Oh what a dream for me who usually has a list of records I am looking for. Each vintage vendor and nook is worth taking your time in exploring. We saw such a wide variety and range of vintage clothing, memorabilia, shoes, artwork, purses, glassware, and knick knacks. I also saw several sale items that were worth a look through if you don't get enticed to just take it home. I found some cool vintage purses and 90's band shirts I had to have. Even though I was here for the records and bought well over a half a dozen of a mix of single and albums on vinyl I was super pleased with the variety of vintage and new/artisan stuff they had for sale here. The decor and even the Doc's merch are pretty unique and worth taking pictures of for remembering you came to such a unique and fun place. I love the mural and logo outside before you walk in this modern giant warehouse. Parking was super easy and overflow free parking across the street is just steps away from the front door. Truth Serum is connected to a vinyl record store and has a cute outdoor patio area! Anytime I see a patio in Arlington, I get excited. :) Full bar with a food menu you can order from and have delivered to you. The jazz show was everything and then some!
