We started with half a dozen raw oysters and they were fresh and delicious! We also ordered a dozen grilled oysters. They were okay, but nothing spectacular and probably not something we would order again. Hubby ordered the fish special that was on the board that day. I can't remember exactly which fish it was, but he said it was just okay. I ordered the snow crab with Cajun butter and unfortunately this was the biggest disappointment. The crab meat was extremely mushy and the texture was just not good at all. I tried several different legs from the cluster just to make sure it wasn't only one bad piece, but they were all the same, so I couldn't finish it. The corn that came with it also tasted old and had a strange sour taste, so I didn't eat that either. The Dragon Fruit Pineapple Mojito, however, was DELICIOUS! Definitely one of the highlights of the meal and I would absolutely order that again. One thing that was a little strange was the timing. Considering how slow it was when we were there, the food seemed to take a little longer than expected to come out, and my drinks took even longer. Overall, it was a mixed experience for us. The raw oysters and mojito were great, the grilled oysters and fish special were just okay, and unfortunately the snow crab entrée was a definite miss. I'm willing to give Anaya's another try and order something completely different if we happen to be in the area, but based on this visit, I wouldn't make a special trip back just to eat here.

The restaurant was small, not too busy, w/ cute decor. When I arrived, I found my friends seated in the very back near the kitchen and restroom, which was my first issue with the experience. Since I was late, I did not make a fuss of it because I was unsure if all the other tables were full when my friends arrived. For appetizers, they ordered the deviled eggs, bacon and Brussels sprouts, all of which they enjoyed. For our entrees, a friend of mine and I ordered the avocado toast with no egg. Unfortunately, they removed the egg along with everything else so we were served cold "toast" and avocado (sadly, my friend actually had bits of browned avocado and just chose to not eat her food at all). Since we could not find our server, I asked another server that was nearby for a piece of hot toast along with the additional toppings that were not added, so I could try and rectify the situation myself, which he kindly brought. The issue with this was that he only brought a piece of hot toast and I had to ask for the ingredients again. Sadly, after all that, it was still very below subpar, flavorless, and worst of all, it was 18$. The home fries were delicious though, even though they weren't hot. Another friend ordered the burger and requested it cooked well done (since the menu said it is typically cooked medium), she even let the server know that she wanted it that way bc medium would upset her stomach. The burger came out and looked beautiful, with all the right fixins', however it was cooked medium. Once again, our server was nowhere to be found, so we asked a nearby server to have it remade which he did. When they brought it out again, we were assured it was made well done, however when she cut it, it was in fact medium. They kindly remade it, and the third time was a charm. They were kind enough to even Comp it and the chef even came out as well, which was nice. Another friend ordered the lobster roll, apparently when they first ordered appetizers, but when it took so long to arrive, the server let us know she had not put the order in because she thought it was an entree. This was an honest mistake/ miscommunication, this also occurred at the beginning of our experience so it was not a big deal. Despite the fact that 3 of the 4 of us did not enjoy our food or had issues, one of my friends DID enjoy her food, so we will take that as a win (especially since she's pregnant so we really needed her to enjoy her meal)!!! I understand and appreciate the service and hospitality industry, but with that being said, I want to feel valued and appreciated as a guest. This whole experience was truly upsetting. It seemed like no matter how clearly we communicated our orders and requests, they were disregarded. I also understand that mistakes happen, as do miscommunications but that fact that it was constant, just showed a lack of care for us as guests. And to top all of this off, our server that was really not very attentive, and was hard to find at times. I do appreciate the restaurants attempts to fix the issues but unfortunately the amount of errors is something I can't not ignore. I can wholeheartedly say I/we will never return to this restaurant.

When I walked in there was a family dining but otherwise it was quiet. There was a young fella eating but he got up and took my order. He didn't have the best customer service.....a little on the dry side for me. I ordered the asada 3 taco plate which comes with beans and rice for $13.99. Let me tell you.....these were the most seasoned tacos I have EVER HAD!!!! Just packed with flavor. The beans and rice were good but I always mix them together and add green salsa. The beans weren't the usual refried as they had some whole beans in them. I expressed to the manager/owner that my tacos were breaking apart as I was eating them. He said it was from the steam because I asked for them to go. I suggest they double the tortillas because they don't skimp on the meat but it's not as much a deal breaker as lack luster customer service. I will definitely be back here for sure. Try them for yourself and thank me later.

On the outside they have a cozy covered patio with a couple of big screens. We chose to sit outside and ordered the fried oysters to start. Yellowfin was flavorful along with the guacamole. Wish it came with more tacos that's how good they were! The calamari was also great paired with its two dipping sauces. Lastly the dessert brownie and ice cream were wonderful as well. I want to definitely come back and try more items from their menu!

We ordered a crawfish and snow crab boil with Cajun butter and added nitro. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The crawfish were small and overcooked, and everything was very salty. The crab and shrimp were also overcooked to the point we couldn't eat the shrimp. We did go around 8:30pm (they close at 9), so maybe that affected it. What really threw me off though was a staff member cleaning nearby who said out loud, "Did animals eat here or what?" while we were still sitting there. That was pretty disrespectful and uncomfortable. Overall, mixed experience. Great service from Matt and nice atmosphere, but I'd probably come back just for drinks or something light not the boil.

Happy Hour Value This review is based on my happy hour…read moreexperiences, and the value is hard to beat. Highlights include: * $10 double cheeseburger with a pickle * $3 East Coast oysters * Half-price drinks, including martinis and wine by the glass Overall, it is an excellent value for a really nice place. Atmosphere and Service The atmosphere and service are impeccable. After more than one visit, the bartenders may recognize you--or at least remember your beverage choices. The Bar Show The best part is the show. The people-watching at the bar is unlike anything else. Happy hour starts at 3:00, but the bar seats are usually full by 2:45. Latecomers often walk in, circle the bar, and leave when they realize there are no seats available. Many guests settle in for the full three hours, which creates its own entertainment. Then come the "watchers," each with a strategy for claiming a seat: * Look for someone nearing the end of a drink. * Watch for guests paying their bill. * Hover nearby, hoping a seat opens up. * Ask someone for a heads-up when they are about to leave. It is surprisingly entertaining, and the occasional bit of staff drama only makes it even better. Bottom Line Either way, it is a great deal for dinner, drinks, and a show, all with amazing service. Show up early--or come prepared with your own strategy.

We ordered the crispy rice tuna and the dinamite shrimp. Both were delicious but small, specially the dinamite shrimp served in a BIG bed of greens. The crispy rice tuna was good. The presentation was nice. My daughter ordered the stone fruit martini and she loved it. I ordered a glass or Sauvignon blanc and it was also good. The ambiance was nice and upscale. The food was disappointing for the price. I ordered the salmon, and the presentation was poor. It looked like something I would have cooked at home. Just a piece of salmon and a side of broccoli; nothing fancy or original about this dish. I'm sharing a picture of a salmon dish we had a a restaurant in Estes Park, Colorado for the same price. Maybe they will learn a decent presentation for a $30 dollar dish. I'm sure the food cost in CO is not higher than DFW. Do better. The steak frites was the most disappointing dish of all; $50 dollars for a small piece of steak, side of spinach and small side of fries. The chicken parm was just ok. The pickle in the hamburger overtook the flavor. Order with no pickles if you're not a fan. The side of fries for the hamburger, which have to be ordered separately, were cold and just ok; nothing special. Overall, we were NOT impressed. Maybe I'll consider going back for happy hour for appetizers and drinks, but probably not.

The vibe was fun and lively, and my server was super down to earth and chill. He was friendly, incredibly patient, and handled everything with ease -- even when the guys behind me kept asking him the same questions over and over. He never lost his cool and answered them every time with a smile. Since it was my first visit, he also took the time to walk me through the different sauce options which I really appreciated. I ended up ordering the Caribbean sack, which came with crawfish, shrimp, a potato, corn, and sausage, and I added an extra corn and sausage cause those are always my favorite :) I ended up choosing the original seasoning because I overheard my server telling the guys behind me the next one up is a pretty big jump and kick -- in hindsight, I probably should've gone one level up but I suppose that just means I'll have to come back and try again! The seasoning itself was more of a thick, chunky sauce (the server described it as an "everything but the kitchen sink" type of seasoning), which was different from what I'm used to. My family usually makes our seafood boils with more of a liquid-based, cooked in a pot with a seasoning bag rather than coated in something so heavy. Because of that, I ended up taking a paper towel and wiping the sauce off the corn but h didn't mind it coating the crawfish and shrimp. Those guys were HUGE and incredibly juicy, which more than made up for all the goopy sauce. All in all, it was a delicious dinner with great service, a fun atmosphere, and solid seafood! Glad I gave it a try!
