    2018/05/11 yummy special

Great RTP lunch spot! A little out of the way but well worth the hunt. Amazing menu, daily specials, and a free cookie on Fridays!! Tip: Like most RTP places, this place gets very busy at the lunchtime. It's not a big place so get there early... no later than 11:45am if you want to be sure to get a table. OMG! I didn't even realize they were only open for three hours weekdays around lunch time! I wish they were open on the weekends.

Great sandwich shop! My coworker was raving about the fried Brie sandwich so I had to give it a try. It is a very good sandwich, although the fig spread on it gives it a very sweet kick. They have multiple items on their menu that I am looking forward to trying out. I also appreciate their variety of side options: fruit salad, potato salad, pasta salad or sea salt potato chips. Their free cookie Friday really is a special treat; the cookies are delicious. I got the white chocolate cranberry.

I ordered the special which was the grilled chicken wrap with avocado, ranch dressing, provolone cheese and mango habanero. I had potato salad for my side and the kids ordered peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with fresh fruit. Prices are decent and the portion sizes are decent also. I probably should've went with another menu item.

Very 1st visit today, and they got my sandwich order wrong. I ordered the Chicken Philly and instead got the REGULAR PHILLY cheese stake. I was upset at first, but didn't feel like going back and was not disappointing when I got home. very delicious sandwich!! Will try more of their menu next time (lots of healthy options as well) Parking was no problem, Customer service was pleasant, food was ready in about 10 mins. You can tell everything is fresh. Very clean. Will definitely come back!! I got the Philly cheese-stake, Potato salad, brownie, Side of butternut soup and a Sweet tea, all totaling around $15 Very full, will have the soup/brownie later on for dinner!

Pretty good spot for lunch. Not too long of a wait in line or for your food. I spent close to $9 just for a sandwich, no chips and no drink. I was left feeling unsatisfied and still hungry. I would much rather have had my comfort food of Jersey Mike's or Firehouse and spend the same for an entire combo. The food tastes good although the pasta salad is a little bland.

Man, WHAT A SANDWICH! I got the chicken cutlet sandwich with prosciutto (Uncle Primo's Chicken…read moreCutlet), and it absolutely did not disappoint. Easily one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time!!! The chicken cutlet was delicious, the prosciutto added a great salty flavor, and the whole thing just worked. I would absolutely go back just for this sandwich. The only downside was the wait. We stood in line for about 45 minutes in the heat, and since it's a pretty small spot with no real waiting area, it can be a rough experience during the summer. There also wasn't any shade or any umbrellas, so standing outside for that long was definitely brutal (highly recommend they add a couple umbrellas or covering to help). That said... what a sandwich. The food was good enough that I'd happily come back and wait again. I'd just recommend going on a cooler day or being prepared to stand outside for a while.

I got half an uncle primos chicken cutlet sandwich ($11). It was a lot of food and was loaded with chicken! Even just the half sandwich was too much for me to eat at once. While it was tasty, I did feel like it was missing something, and personally didn't find it to be worth the wait. But if the line were shorter in the future I'd come back and try other yummies from the menu.

"Great deli-style sandwiches, from rather hidden location on Chapel Hill Rd"…read more Came by here on a Saturday. This place is REALLY hard to find... it's behind the State Farm building, but there's barely any signage from the street. (Note: some photos here in Yelp seem to be from an older location.) We actually came one Saturday, but it was unexpectedly closed, but we caught them the following one, so good to call and confirm before driving over. You walk up to a door on the back, and scan a QR code to see the menu. Then knock on/ open the door and someone will come to take your order. Then you wait outside and they bring you your sandwiches. The lady who took our order was very friendly. The kitchen was rather large, so I suspect it's used for more than just this business. We ordered two turkey subs-- the East New York (which was slightly spicy) and the Dumbo. Wait time was maybe 7-10 minutes or so. Both sandwiches came nicely wrapped, and I think total cost was a little over $20. And conveniently, they take Apple Pay. These were not your Subway or Quiznos sandwiches-- these were DELICIOUS pressed sandwiches (we got them on focaccia. I personally liked the Dumbo the best-- it had a nice mix of flavors that meshed well. The East New York was solid and had a nice spiciness, but not quite as exciting overall. Would I come back? Probably, but since there's no seating, and it's a bit awkward, maybe not the first place I'd think to try, but again, the sandwiches were REALLY good. I do think it may be excellent for catering or for getting picnic sandwiches though.

Yelp told me this delicious sandwich shop was just 5 minutes away, which seemed like the perfect option. It was a hot summer day and I couldn't believe how many people were sitting outside in the heat. We got the last table in the air conditioned inside, which made me happy. We placed our orders at the counter: - The Jane for me - Pine Street Pimento for my daughter and a bag of chips (salt & vinegar for me) for both! We did the smaller size sandwiches which were still quite large, but we were quite hungry and finished them off. They were so good that I even thought about coming back for lunch the next day, but knew there were plenty of delicious restaurants in the area to try. So good I came back!…read more Customer Service: Everyone was really nice. It is OTC ordering, and you pick up your food when they call your name. Food: (1st visit) South of the border wrap with brown derby chopper salad 5/5. I ate it all!! The salad was fresh and a mix of the perfect amount of ingredients. The wrap was thiccc and chicken was juicy and hot (temp)! (2nd visit) I got the special of the day: which was a burger with the spinach salad 5/5. Again the salad was amazing could've made it better myself. I'm not sure what was better the burger itself or bun...burger was hefty and juicy with a slight taste of the summer nostalgic grill char and the bun was soft and forgiving but firm in the right places to hold everything together. Beverage: 5/5 I got the Sweet Iced Tea which was good but then did a 70/30 mix with lemonade and that was banging! The lemonade was a fountain drink, tea made in house. Dessert: I might be addicted to those brownies man! That's a don't eva skip! Total Price with Tip: Expect to spend at least 20 dollars for lunch, beverage, and dessert. Ambiance: Nice vibes, really cool art, highly utilized small space. Special shoutout to the pot mixer (bread knead mixer repurposed as plant pottery) Perfect for lunch! I did not use the bathroom, but I believe it's offered in the back. Fullness Level: 6/5. Parking: Highly accessible Highly recommend this place and the story is great! Check her out yall!

This was my first time but my friend's hundredth (her words!) There was plenty of parking. We were greeted upon entry and informed that we could choose where we sat and just to scan the table QR code when we were ready to order. We chose a high top and a server brought us water. The vibrant colors and decor gave off excellent vibes. I ordered the Karaage Bowl (on greens instead of rice AND all the sauces on the side) and a side order of seaweed salad. A server brought them to our table. It was not necessary for us to get up once we were seated. Everything was SO GOOD. Like, "I'm mad at myself for not coming here before" good. All of the sauces were amazing too. I ordered them on the side since I wasn't sure how I would like them all, but I think I'll leave them on next time. The "greens" were a mix of lettuce and cabbage. The side of seaweed salad for $2.50 seemed a little small when they brought it out but it was packed in there and was plenty. The server came around a couple of times to check on us and top off our water. We bussed our own trash. There was only one unisex bathroom that I saw. There seemed like a lot of takeout orders going out (it was a little separate from the dining area which was nice). There was also a lovely outdoor area that would be nice if it wasn't 100 degrees. I will definitely be back to try more menu items!

You'd try to shake him off and he would be super-velcro'ed onto your limb, hanging on for dear life with lust in his doggie heart... But I digress. So yeah, the Baguettaboutit food truck... Baguettaboutit is based out of Chapel Hill so it's not a frequent visitor to Raleigh. I chased it down to Cary Crossroads and stopped in for a quick lunch. The truck looks brand spankin' new, bright royal blue and they have paper bags out front to mark up your order. I ordered up the Jersey Turnpike, sausage with red pepper sauce which took about 5+ minutes. Along with a bag o' chips and drink, we're talking about $8.50 which isn't bad. The Baguettaboutit sandwich is a pretty thing. Flour-dusted baguette with a thick sausage end peeping out (Flopsy!). And it's a tasty lunch, high-quality meat and crusty French bread. The red pepper sauce was creamy and decently flavored. By the time you work your way to the end of the sandwich, we're talking 3 - 4 inches of crusty bread and sauce left over, but still yum. Don't think there were any napkins available at the truck which would help a bit. For a first visit I was definitely impressed, I'll have to work my way through the rest of their baguette specials, six in total. Baguettaboutit puts out a solid sandwich that's perfectly portable and better than what you'd get from a Subway or Quizno, 3.5 stars. So I'm really looking forward to my next visit, if I can just only shake that image of my dog out of my head. One thing for sure, I'm not ordering ANY Baguettaboutit sandwiches with alfredo sauce, guaranteed...
