I was very happy with my service when I purchased my washing machine...they were very happy to take my money and sell us the extended warranty. I called them last week regarding getting my machine repaired. They were supposed to come in a week however now they are saying warranty company needs to send them info ...warranty company says different. Its been a nightmare dealing with just getting something done. I was just advised now im looking at atleast another week. This is inexcusable customer service. The two gentlemen, (TJ and Paul), that delivered our kitchen appliances today did a great job at installing our GE CAFE stove, refrigerator and microwave. They were helpful at telling us about the products and we're very careful when taking out the old appliances and bringing in the new items. Spicher's can be proud that these two gentlemen represent Spicher's. They speak very highly of their jobs and like what they do. They take pride in what they do! It was a pleasure to have them deliver to our home. Customer service means a great deal to me and I like to make sure I always tell when someone is kind and helpful. These two hit it out of the park. My mom bought a new washer. They were quick to take the money drop off the washer. 1 week later the washer throws a code not even used 5 times. Then when my mom calls the voicemail says "if you are not courteous and kind it will affect the service you get!" That sounds like a threat. They have made no effort to help them and referred them to another technician. Meanwhile the laundry is piling up and their customer service sucks. Worst ever. read more

The two guys that installed our electric stove, had no idea how to level it properly , they didn't even have a level on hand. After they left when I put a skillet on the stove and put oil in it, it all ran to one side. Such a simple thing and they screwed it up read more

I used their website to purchase a freezer online. It said a rep will call to collect payment and set up delivery. No word,I called them. Got a hold of a old guy who said he didn't know who to use the computer Brent to help me and John would call back....No word.....so I called again got Kevin in sales. He acted like I was bothering him and said Brent would call back and I said Nooo he wasn't able to and pushed me to John, so he said well I don't know lady Brent has your information. I said can't you help me ? you're in sales dept...and he didn't want to for some reason ???? How do these people stay in business ???? I wasnt shopping around , I ordered an appliance , just wanted a delivery date and to finish transaction and they acted like they didn't want to be bothered !!! I use to run a appliance business for 23 yrs and I NEVER treated my customers like this.Brent should reitre, he's a waste of space and the owner should know about this but he would just take up for his lame employees no doubt. Ordered a appliance, when brought to me in switching doors the hinge broke (why not do this at the shop) given a loner and the new delivery person was very rude when asked how I would be compensated for my time. Was told they gave me the loner and that was it, awaiting a call from the general manager the discuss this in more detail. will see what it done and that may change my rating. This was after neighbors said this was a wonderful place and I should deal with them only....we will see. read more

We recently purchased all new kitchen appliances from Spicher's. Mark Reeder was our salesperson. Let me say what a pleasure it was to work with Mark, and how happy we are with Spicher's delivery and installation team. I am SO glad we decided to buy from them!! I hope I never have to call for repair service, but I'd be willing to say if I have to, they wouldn't let me down!!!! I didn't even bother to price the appliances at Lowe's or Home Depot .... Spicher's is a GE authorized dealership, but refused to work on my dryer unless I could prove I bought it from them. I have had the dryer for quite awhile and honestly don't remember where we bought it. We had a goose down pillow explode in the dryer a couple of years ago, and I swear it was Spicher's who came out and disassembled it to clean out the feathers, but they have my home phone number listed under a different customers name, so they have no record of dealing with us. I can assure you they won't be dealing with us in the future either. That's a great business plan ..... drive customers to your competition. read more

Very very absolutely disappointed and disgusted at Spichers in Hagerstown. We bought a heating element from them last week but ended up just deciding on getting a whole new washer and dryer set. Didn't use it, still had the receipt. Well because I threw away the box that it came with (just a normal box) the old man in the parts department today (3/29/21 around 2pm) would not take it back. We asked if there wasn't any boxes they had that they could use? That was a no. Then he started to say he needed the label exact label that was on the box. So we asked, you can reprint the label back there? That was a no. The whole time he's getting smart with Dennis and arguing back and forth. Quite ridiculous. The funny part is... the heating element I bought was a return. A woman had it before me and I had to shop around Hagerstown waiting for her to return it to Spichers. The associated gave me a call when she returned the piece. They had it in a brand new sealed box for me. The associate today tried to say that it wasn't a returned piece calling us a liar. Unfortunately I only have the phone call from them and no voicemail or anything showing proof that it was a returned piece. I'm just astonished by the poor customer service we experience today. I guess because I took it out of the box and then my 2 year old son broke the box playing with it therefore I threw that box away is just a ridiculous notion. My experience when I bought the piece was very pleasant and the associate was great but today it was just awful. We will never shop there again. I'm just glad that we did not get the new washer and dryer from them. read more

Bought a speed queen washing machine from Spichers. Very few carry that brand washer and they had the best price. "Great brands at Great prices" I was able to buy it over the phone without needing to go into the store. "Convenient" The sales person was able to answer all my questions. "Knowledgeable Staff" The washer was back ordered and the sales person contacted me when the washer was in and delivered the washer the next day. "Great Communication and Speedy Delivery" I like that they do their own delivery's instead of using a third party. The delivery team was careful and courteous. "Professional" read more

I'd like to try to be fair with this review because there are good and finally bad parts to it. I went into Spichers and bought a relatively inexpensive Maytag washer . I thought from the way it was advertised that you could get plenty of water for washing. The 2 guys that delivered it were very careful and set it up perfectly . I t was not their fault that the DOE is now giving us washers that tell us how much water we can use and I felt the washer was not giving me enough water even on deep fill with extra rinse. So I went in to Spicher's and spoke to the manager Rob who is a very nice guy and he understood my situation. I told him I had found 2 more expensive washers through research that would fill and I was willing to buy either one of them. So we came to a very easy resolution and delivery was set up for 3-22-24. Unfortunately 2 different guys delivered the second time. I believe they were very careless and mishandled and banged my new washer on the basement floor several times. One time it came accidentally off the lift so hard it almost toppled over and one of the guys finally said he was sorry. Also they disconnected the hoses and let water soak the basement floor, then placed the washer there without drying it off. I asked these guys if they were new at the job but they did not respond. At that point I wanted to call Spichers but one of the guys said I had to sign my name so instead I signed "possible damage" and they left. I think the washer is running okay despite all this. I hope it will continue because it is the type of washer I need . I have bought 5 appliances at Spichers now and I think overall it is a good place to shop. I am not going to dwell on one bad experience and I hope the washer continues to work and there is no serious internal damage that could show up later. read more

Denny checked our GE washing machine and gave us good info on the workings of it and all the appliances in our home. We bought the house with no appliance info and we're told to go online if we needed help. We didn't do that and didn't have to when've wonderful technician like Denny comes to service our home. if only his type of service were available from all stores. Thank you, Spichers! read more

I bought a washer and dryer from Home Depot and thenthey called and told me they couldn't deliver when promised because it's on back order. So I cancelled the order, and went right to Spichers and was so satisfied with there service. Come to find out the dryer coming from Home Depot wouldn't fit in our laundry closet (due to the depth) and they didn't catch that BUT Spichers did! Thanks read more

Well- have Spicher's Appliance out here to the house at least 5 times in the last 2 months for the dishwasher- still not repaired. Our clothes washer is toast after only a few years. Went down this weekend. The refrigerator we bought about 3-5 months ago probably has a fan going bad according to the technician. Can't replace all the fans. Need to wait until a fan completly stops before it can be replaced. Even though I recorded the noise on my phone and showed him. Completely dissatisfied with them. Have bought 90 % of our appliances from them over 20 years. Ready to move on from Spichers Appliances Can anyone recommend an appliance store/chain that provides excellent service? read more
