I've never ever had a bad meal here!!! This is the most predictable guaranteed great meal! The crying tiger, sweet and sour, green, red and pineapple are all fabulous. Their fried rice, pad see yew ...:I can go on and on. Plenty of parking, pleasant service, family owned and comfortable vibe inside. Been going here 20 years + and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Thai Egg Rolls
Mehgan M.

My boyfriend and I stopped by Spice Thai for my first Thai Curry experience. I asked if I could try a small tasting of the curries they offered and our waitress was so sweet to bring me a small sample of a few to try them out. I LOVED the yellow curry, chicken added & rice. My boyfriend got the drunken noodles, and we both split the egg roll appetizer. Super clean restaurant, we went as soon as they opened for dinner, service was fast, and restaurant was quiet, but plenty of take-out orders and after eating here, totally understandable! Will be returning!

Papaya Salad

Typical Thai foods. A little on the heavy side for us. Place was clean and comfy. Not crowed on a weekday. Service was ok.

Our meals were SO bad that my son stopped eating after three tablespoons were served and we threw out the rest of our $126.41 meals.

Sadly I ordered five meals and appetizers for our family dinner tonight. NONE of the meals had the correct spice levels ordered, every meal was overcooked, and we've eaten here before and the meal was "just OK" but our son lives two blocks away and he said he'd pick it up since he'd be joining us. Cheapest pork with a lot of fat, wontons that tasted like seafood, and so much more was bad ... all for $126.41 that we ended up throwing away. We will *never* return or order again.

Thai Fried Rice

I ordered the Spicy Basil Fried Rice and Thai Egg Rolls for takeout. I looked in my bag before leaving and noticed no utensils. If I hadn't looked in the bag, I would have gotten back to my hotel room with nothing to eat my food with. I got back to my hotel room started eating my rice and wondered where all the heat and flavor was. I looked at my receipt and noticed they put down Thai Fried Rice. Almost no flavor to the rice. The carrots in the rice were the most flavorful thing. The Thai Egg Rolls were mostly chicken (almost nothing else) but ok flavor. The dipping sauce was really good though. Will not go back again. Food was flavorless and service was not top notch (wrong order and no utensils with to go order).

Beef Lime Salad

Really cute little place with lots of seating and good service, our server Kaylin was very nice and attentive even though the restaurant was busy Food was really yummy and with relatively decent portion sizing, my favorite dish was the beef lime salad! The beef was really tender, also I was told people ask for extra of the sauce and for good reason, I just wished it had a spicy kick to it but definitely would order again! Thai sweet and sour was also really good, loved all the veggies that were in the dish Yellow curry was really well balanced in flavor, pad thai was the only one that personally could have been better for me. Kind of was a expecting a little smokier of a flavor? And it was a little too much on the sweet end more my taste, probably could have used a lime on the side. But I did like that the bean sprouts were cooked in instead of raw on the side like most places do

You know the food is amazing when I couldn't take a pic before I started eating both the appetizer and the meal. Yes, the eggroll serving is 5 instead of 3 - I couldn't help myself. Spice Thai is as incredible as ever. It's consistently a 5 star for me!

Pad See-Ew

How is it that I have eaten here for years and never reviewed this place?!? Spice Thai is my absolute favorite local Thai spot. The quality of their crying tiger steak is excellent-and the spicy lime dipping sauce is good enough to drink! My favorite go-to entrees here ate the pad see ew with beef and their bbq pork fried rice. Their portions are generous, their vegetables are fresh, and their service is quick and efficient. Add this place to your must-try list.

Pad Thai lunch
Michael Y.

We came in for lunch on a weekday and it was not too busy, but a decent number of customers. There's quite a good number of options on lunch menu, which include soup, salad and rice. The soup especially stood out, it was delicious broth and included rice noodles, a nice bonus to an already decent lunch set. Salad and rice come on the plate with your selected entree, we choose the pad thai and spicy eggplant. The pad thai had a unique flavor, not bad, but not our favorite either. The taste was different from other Thai places, tasted more sour. We ordered it with tofu, and we weren't used to having a spiced marinated tofu in there, so would have preferred a more standard tofu, but the issue I found with this dish was that some of the tofu was not hot, some pieces even tasted a little cold inside so for that fact alone, it made the dish hard to appreciate, and I had to take a star off for that. The eggplant was fine, a little on the oily side, quite a large portion of onions and peppers - would have have appreciate more eggplant or other vegetables, but it was okay. The salad was also good. Service and prices were also fine, not one of the cheaper Thai lunches in the area, but it's not the most expensive either. Since there's still lots to try on the menu, we'll probably come back someday and see if there's something else we can try.

Disappointed that all of their curries are pre-made so they could not be 100% vegetarian. They do have other vegetarian options though.

I don't know how to describe what it tastes like, but it's kind of like a seafood curry with spinach and a bright rainbow curry. Pad woon soon was good too. And pad see ewe. However, I had a major disappointment Last night. I ordered a Tom kha goong soup that cost $17. Most places sell the soup for like 5-10 dollars so I'm thinking $18 is expensive that has got to be some dinner portion soup so it didn't make sense when it asked me if I wanted a large for seven dollars more, I'm thinking that that's probably a portion for a family. But it's cold and it's raining and I wanted to sip on something warm. They sent me the tiniest cup of soup. think when you go to a restaurant and they ask you if you want a cup of soup for three dollars or a bowl of soup for five dollars. I got a cup of soup. think when you go to a Japanese restaurant and they give you a small little miso soup with your meal. That's how much soup I got for $18. There were two slices of tomatoes in there a a couple mushrooms and a 2 piece of shrimp. This upset me so much because I spent so much money and was expecting some food. I politely called the restaurant and spoke to them about it and they said that they were very sorry but it's expensive because DoorDash charges 30% of the price. Which I understand, and I expect to pay more to have something delivered, but it was still very expensive for what I got, and in the end, it wouldn't have cost them much to give a large portion, and they should be more mindful about balancing what the customer is getting with their profits. Which they totally deserve their profits. It would be much more reasonable if the small was $6 and the large was $12. If that was the small I can imagine that the $25 large portion probably should've been offered as the small portion. Just writing that out upsets me so much have you ever spent $25 for a soup before?

(You can get on the waitlist via Yelp). Hubbie and I were thankful to have gotten there early. Once inside, we were excited by their extensive menu. Everything sounded so authentic, we decided to explore out of our usual Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. We ordered their Thai Boat Noodle, Crying Tiger (ribeye steak), and a fish soup (can't remember the name). The best was their Thai boat noodle, hands down. It's almost like pho with a giant bone in short rib. Their crying tiger was delicious as well. The fish soup has an acquired taste, and pretty spicy even with the normal spice choice. The place is so cute! Clean, well managed, and with trendy decor. I love the spaciousness of the tables, doesn't feel too crowded. And even with a busy restaurant, their service is excellent. I am already studying the menu, and planning my next visit!

I would suggest getting it a bit spicy/with more Thai curry. Their crab and Thai fried rice is also a hit. Their massaman curry is flavourful and not too hot. You can always add more spice if you want. My favourite noodle dishes are the Pad thai (so yummy and not dry), pad kee mao (love the Thai basil), and pad wood sen. I have ordered the chowmein, it wasn't the best or my favourite, this dish didn't really taste "Thai" at all and I would not order it again, but it does not affect my opinion of this place. The people are friendly and food is ready despite them usually being busy. Don't forget to ask for chili in vinegar - these are a yummy addition to your food.

We visited with our soccer family at the request of my son to have Thai food. I personally look at not only the ratings but the pics of the food in order to determine if we should go to a place - this had some good pictures that looked enticing. But after eating there, the original pics did not do this place justice. We ordered the shrimp and veggie spring rolls, bamboo shoots veggie dish, beef satay, chicken pad Thai, and a pad see ew. That was last night - it's morning and I'm still thinking about the yummy flavors in my mouth! The spring rolls were good - well wrapped and filled with a perfectly made peanut sauce to dip it in. The bamboo shoots dish came with a plethora of vegetables and was mildly to moderately spicy in a good way. My favorites were definitely the beef satay which was cool to perfection and the pad Thai - very well done - and I've been eating at different Thai places since I was a teenager! The noodles were on point with the texture, the flavor was saturated throughout every bite, so yummy! I did not try the pad see ew but it looked really good. Love the quantity given and the high quality of the food. Our meals fed three very hungry JV soccer players and four famished parents. Our waitress/server was very attentive, friendly, and smiling with a welcoming air that made us feel like we were eating at her home. Loved it and we are definitely returning! Thanks Thai Garden!

Well, I guess it was bound to happen. While my food adventures in OC have largely been successful,…read moreit was inevitable that I'd end up coming across a place that so many folks like that just didn't hit the mark for me. However, I never would've thought that place was going to be Siam Station. After hearing good things about their spot in Cupertino/the Bay Area from several friends, it felt rather fortuitous when we randomly came across their original location - and with no line in sight! Inside, they've got a cozy sort of vibe and it's cool how they have some outdoor tables set-up as well. As for the menu, it didn't seem all that extensive at a glance, but it has all of the staples you'd expect to find among their appetizers, soups, salads, fried rice, stir fried noodles, noodle soups, curry dishes, entrees, and desserts. -- ZESTY WINGS - Deep Fried Chicken Wings Topped with Crispy Basil and Served with Chili Sauce Easily our favorite dish of the night. The wings were really crispy on the outside and oh so juicy on the inside. Even though there wasn't much of the sauce, which was flavorful but not that spicy, it was fine - the wings were still great without it. -- KHAO SOI with Chicken - Yellow Curry Broth with Egg Noodles and Chicken and Served with Red Onions, Lime, and Pickles Ehh...this was okay, I guess. On the plus side, the chicken was tender and I thought the broth was pretty good - not the best I've had, but better than most. That said, I didn't love the egg noodles, especially the crispy ones after they had soaked up the broth. -- PAD KEE MOW (Drunken Noodles) with Crispy Pork - Flat Rice Noodles Stir Fried with Spicy Basil Garlic Sauce, Bell Peppers, Tomato, Sweet Onion, and Thai Basil I was super excited for this, but it was disappointing. The first thing we noticed was how pale it was and, sadly, the taste matched. Whether it be their garlic sauce or some chilis, this needed more. As for the pork, it was definitely crispy, but a few pieces bordered on dry/burnt. -- MANGO STICKY RICE A little hit, a little miss. The mango was fine (decently sweet, soft), but the sticky rice left us a little wanting. Mainly, I didn't love the glob of coconut cream, was it was pretty thick and viscous, which gave the rice a weird texture/coating to it. As far as service goes, it was uneventfully good. Although there was one point where it was hard to hail someone, it was mostly because the restaurant got increasingly busy and one of the servers was trying to help a group sort something out with their order. Otherwise, our food came out relatively quick and the workers were rather efficient with everything. Despite how we left feeling bummed out by our experience, it had more to do with being underwhelmed than the food actually being "bad". Admittedly, we came in with high hopes/expectations from all of the hype we had heard and it probably didn't help that we had gone to Manaao the night before, which is one of my favorite Thai restaurants anywhere. What's more, I wonder if we just didn't get the best that Siam Station has to offer. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to coming back to find out (and potentially writing an update), but perhaps I'll just try my luck at their spot in Cupertino that my friends like so much.
