There were lime slices served on the side. My boyfriend's quesadilla was HUGE and packed full of brisket and cheese. It was served with sour cream and red salsa. Our food was soo good! The brisket was smoked well and relatively tender. All of our food was hot and delicious! Now, I gave this place 2 stars for two reasons: first of all, the food truck was late. They were scheduled to be open at 4 so my boyfriend arrived at that time. Well, they didn't end up taking orders until about 4:20. We didn't get our order until 4:50 which is absolutely ridiculous. The second reason is that the food came in styrofoam to-go containers. The containers were not lined with aluminum foil, so the piping hot quesadilla started melting the styrofoam. My boyfriend didn't notice until he finished all of his food and we are not sure at this point how much styrofoam we ingested. Fix these two issues and they could have at least a 4 star truck.

Now, they offered 2 versions of the pork adobe this time around - the plate and bowl with the plate being a dollar more. When I ordered the pork adobe plate last time, it came in a standard to-go box with the pork, rice, and 2 or 3 lumpias. What I received this time was their bowl and no additional lumpias beyond what I ordered separately (9 mini lumpias). I was confused when I received my order but I wasn't going to make a big deal over a dollar difference. The staff here was great and helped me pack my lumpia order into a box when I told them that I was going to take everything home to eat instead of at the event. Many of their items were served in small paper trays so this was very much appreciated for them to be able to help me bring everything home easier. The pork adobe was exactly as I remembered last time; absolutely delicious and tender. Sadly, I had a big bay leaf in my order and accidently started to eat it as I didn't see it. They offered to make something else on the house, but at this point we were all almost done with our food so he ended up with nothing. They did try to make it right, I'll give them that, but it was a weird experience. We decided to give the restaurant one last try for my mom's birthday over the weekend and it solidified our opinions on this place. First of all, it's EXPENSIVE. I get it's Scottsdale but they are trying way too hard with $80 ribeyes and $1500 bottles of wine, but not giving you anything for it. Don't get me wrong, I'll enjoy an expensive meal when I feel it's warranted. The food, service, details need to go above and beyond to justify my $500+ tab. That's just not the case here.
