Pros- Lunch specials are great. Food is tasty but we always need to take the spice down a notch. Drinks are great. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Cons-Automatic gratuity is a little annoying and a little sketchy. I checked 18% but tip is based at 21% and this is the 3rd time this has happened. The first one my husband addressed. I heard another table expressing the same concern. Also the math is not mathing. $93.50+$8.30=$101.80 how did they came to $105.86? I also did not see anything about fees for cars usage either. We will be going back one day this week to talk to the manager.

I went here with my friend for dinner. I had the Drunken Noodles & Thai Breeze. She had the Sesame Fried Rice with Egg & Amphan. The food was delicious! The staff were nice. The ambiance was cozy but tight spacing. I wish they opened up the upstairs part again.

I took my mom for lunch here.cause she wanted Asian food. She loved it. Simple and hits the spot, like she said. The staff was very nice too. It was a rainy saturday and they let us in even if they were still closed.

I think I have been coming here at least 15 years. The service is always great, the food is served quickly, there is never much of a wait and I appreciate the casual atmosphere. Today we had quite a selection on the table: dumplings, spring rolls, steamed broccoli, Chicken Pad Thai and Drunk Man Noodles with shrimp. The pad-thai was a little on the bland side but the Drunk Man Noodles was unbelievable! It was so well balanced with just a hint of spice, purely delicious. The restaurant is much bigger than you realize since threes is a second floor.

I remember eating in various branches of Spice 20 or so years ago, they were fast, cheap and overall not bad, so when we recently had a craving for Thai and were near to this Union Square location we decided to revisit. TBF my expectations weren't high but nonetheless I thought it would be better than it was. This branch has a long bar with seating along the wall opposite and more seats either side of the front door. There were some noisy road works outside and the restaurant was maybe 1/3 full but the wait person offered us seats next to the noisy window. We asked to sit at the back of the restaurant and were reluctantly given a tiny table between two other occupied tiny tables even though there were other free tables. The decor is okay but it's a bit tired and dated. The service was pretty minimal, they took our order, gave us food and gave us the bill, we had to ask for water glasses to be refilled. There's quite a lot of lunch specials available and they all come with a 'free' appetizer. My husband had Kale Spring Rolls to start, they were very bland and cold in the center. I had Andaman Dumplings which were incredibly bland - if I were blindfolded I don't think I could have told you what they were. Entrées were Pad Thai for the Mr, not a bad portion but again incredibly bland and a little gummy. I had Stir-fry Dry Tom Yum Chicken. It was a small portion of badly chopped chicken with fried onions and a small amount of tomato in a thin watery sauce served with rice. It was advertised as being spicy but wasn't at all, it wasn't very good, I ate it because I was hungry and I was still hungry afterwards. It was a very unsatisfying lunch overall. It wasn't exactly expensive but I'd rather have paid more and had a more satisfying (and flavorful!) dining experience. I don't recommend it.

I wish I could've taken a picture of the environment!!! The high ceilings added a special touch to the atmosphere without a doubt. The waitresses were very attentive and patient because I had many questions as I was wanting to try something new. I was very happy with the starting appetizer the sauce was a good spike of seasoning to the stuffing of the inside because of the juices. I would have loved a bit of a bigger portion for the rice however it still fed two people, we made it work haha.. The 3 flavored salmon had a good thick sauté to it. Also very affordable for the location area. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying something new.

Super disappointing - I have been to many of their chains and the quality has always been the same but tonight was awful! My shrimp pad Thai had no umi!!! I don't believe that they even used palm sugar!!! I could still taste the grains of sugar when chowing down! The kitchen staff made this in a rush and the noodles were lumped together.... It was around $18 and I totally feel ripped off! Sigh ... I am at a lost for words - the space is super trendy for people that don't know better !! Spice do a better job!! This feels like a bait and switch!!

Great appetizers, entrees and drinks. Fun location right by the parade hub and union square! Great space but small so come with your party to enjoy

Yummy food, pretty quick service, fun ambiance. Space is kind of small so not great for big groups. But the food was tasty, made fresh, and the space was clean and tidy. Noodles were the star and the soup was soooo tasty. Cocktails were also surprisingly delicious!! Not too pricey either. Great place to meet up with a friend for lunch!

Pineapple friend rice is my fav from here. It's mixed with chicken shrimp and other proteins. Usually order online (small fee) and do in person pick up. Very efficient. Nice decor inside. I think they have 2 floors (not sure on that).

    Chicken curry

Ok, but not good. An overpriced Panda Express. In the morning, it feels like they're using the food from last night. May not be the case, but it doesn't feel fresh .... Iced tea and they brought me a weird drink. I clarified and asked for another iced tea so they took that one back and came out with the same thing only stirred. 80 chicken curry, and my guest ate the chicken with fried rice. We had dumplings, Giza, and spring rolls.

Spice is nice!! I had been to this location on about 3 previous occasions. On this visit, I'm meeting up with a friend for super casual lunch. Since it's consistently delivered on great service, yummy food and affordable pricing, it was an easy decision. We arrived at around 1PM and the venue was just about fully booked. That's says a lot. However, since there was a beautiful transitions of departures and arrival we didn't feel compromised. We sat comfortably, had the yummiest drinks. I had the Mango Thai iced tea and my girlfriend had the Lychee. Beyond delicious and the buzz was exactly what we needed for an afternoon of shenanigans where neither one of us were driving. I kept it super lite on the grid only ordering the Shrimp and chicken fritters, a small order of 4 pieces that packed great flavor. I didn't care much for the sauce since it was just basic and didn't necessarily enhance the flavors in the fritter. My gf had the drunk man noodles. While the name itself is rather humorous, apparently the meal itself was seriously flavored, quite spicy and rich. Overall, a good time was had. Keep in mind that if you order an entree your appetizer is free. So for about $44 + tip we left quite buzzed and with happy tummies.

Our friends raved about this place and we of course were excited (and a bit skeptical at first) to try it. The concept: no menu + no lights + a few questions = the ultimate cocktail experience. The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates. My drink came as I couldn't possibly imagine. It looked like a Negroni smelled like Oaxaca, with all the smoke simmering up and preparing my sensory experience, leading to the best first sip. Ladies and gentleman, I introduce you to The Devil's Backbone. A perfectly balanced drink I'll never forget, one that is sipped slowly and enjoyed thoroughly. It's sexy, it's smoky it's sipped. Attaboy gave the best mixology experience and we can't wait to be back. Pro tip: be sure to be as vocal as possible, even with ice, so you don't end up with a tiki drink if that's not your vibe.

It adds a layer of character to the place, but what really keeps people coming back is the atmosphere and the drinks. The space is split into two levels: a two lively, sawdust-floored Taprooms downstairs and a more refined Parlor upstairs if you're in the mood for a quieter, cocktail-focused experience. I would have had to cancel and rebook and wasn't sure I'd be able to (reservation was for a Saturday night) In most places, a table for 3 easily accommodates 4. But not here. When two of us arrived, they made it clear this was a big problem. I would have walked out right then but I would have been charged $90! We decided to stay and make the best of it, which was a challenge. For a speakeasy, the vibe was aggressive, not relaxing. Very loud music and not great acoustics.) Too cramped to be comfortable, proving that small does not necessarily mean cozy! We asked if we could take a chair from the table next to us, which was empty (it was only 6 pm; I told our server we'd be gone by 7 because my friend, the birthday girl, had to catch a show.) We were told No! To say the waiter was cold, unfriendly, and indifferent is generous. He was totally rude. He literally told my friend she couldn't sit in a chair that was otherwise empty, knowing we'd be leaving momentarily. Then he had the gail to hand me the bill with a 22% tip pre-selected...and watched over me while I signed it! Definitely the least satisfying $100 I have ever spent. Disappointing.
