    Breakfast outside on the roof
    Debi R.

Breakfast was the same every morning. Buffet consisting of :scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, bacon/cheese grits, cottage potatoes, Carmel French toast, oatmeal, assorted pastries, assorted cereals, mixed fruit & berries. $14.95 We ate it every morning and it was very good. We did not eat dinner here but did have great drinks and appetizers at the bar late night. The appetizers were more than enough to share with 2-3 people. The chicken quesadillas and lemon pepper wings were our favorite. A nice variety menu with burgers, salads, sandwiches, and entrees. Staff is 5 star. You can't go wrong with anything you get!

    Beautiful spacious rooftop, stunning sunsets!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner last night at Spice & Sky. Sat outside on their spacious rooftop patio, enjoying a beautiful sunset. Started with a refreshing bottle of Whitehaven Sauv Blanc, perfection! Amanda and Mars took incredible care of us and ensured that we enjoyed ourselves. Started with the grilled shrimp on a bed of corn succotash - succulent; and roasted Brussels sprouts - super tasty! We split a Greek salad, with fabulous freshly made Greek dressing - highly recommend. For our entree, we split the Lemon Caper Salmon with fresh vegetables and mashed potatoes (subbed out over the rice). The combo was delicious, healthy, and well rounded. To top it off, we shared the New York style cheesecake - didn't expect much, as it's such a standard dessert, but we were pleasantly surprised! The whipped cream was freshly made and was so so good... and with the cheesecake and strawberries - yum!! Such an enjoyable evening outside with great company, drink, food, service, and a stunning sunset. Of note, this restaurant on the roof of the Holiday Inn - but don't be scared away... it's a hidden gem!

We stopped by for dinner after hitting the mall. We started off with a couple of drinks. I requested a rum runner and they didn't have all the ingredients to make it so the waitress, alysha made something for me which was even better!! Hubby had a specialize drink, dark and light he liked it as well. The menu is more towards Fusion/Indian style. I was told in May a new menu comes out. I love a restaurant which can change it up. The view, pretty wonderful!! The waitress, very nice!! We will be back.

An Indian influenced cuisine patio bar & restaurant. Cocktails are strong and compact. The scent of intoxicating tandoori spices drift through the air and add to your dining experience. Dishes are bold and are sure to add interest to your stay. Wait and bar staff are welcoming and cordial.

New and cool, but 20 minutes before drink order and an hour before food was received while the place was empty on a Monday.

Our server, Lia, was wonderful--super patient, always smiling, and really helpful when it came to recommending dishes. She took the time to explain options, and her suggestions were spot on. Food-wise, everything hit the mark. The pig ears were surprisingly good with great texture and flavor. The Garlic Bone Marrow Noodle Soup was rich and comforting, and the Herbal Spare Ribs had a really nice, well-balanced herbal taste. Consistently good food, a comfortable vibe, and service like this are why Food Terminal continues to be a neighborhood favorite for me.

It was busy inside, but our party of 10 was promptly seated, though we were a little squished into a circular table. I didn't remember this last time, but instead of telling a server what you want, you mark it down on a paper menu and hand it to the server. This time I got the Grandma's BBQ Pork Noodles and the Salted Egg Yolk Shrimp Garlic Noodle. I was really excited to try both since they both sounded so good. Ultimately the Grandma's BBQ Pork Noodle was a little underwhelming - the noodles themselves weren't very flavorful, and the BBQ pork was on the drier side. The pork did have decent flavor, and all the toppings/side items (wontons, fried egg, bok choy) were great, but all in all fell a little short of my hopes. The Salted Egg Yolk Garlic Noodles had better flavor, but I could've used even more garlic and butter. The shrimp definitely carried the salted egg yolk flavor, but the fried batter was a bit soggy/soft in my opinion. I wished it was crisper. Service was a tad slow, but perhaps they're understaffed and/or it was busy that night. I do love the menu concept of positioning it like a magazine catalog - it makes for a fun experience instead of just words on paper

I was able to get a table right away. It was well lighted and there was some soft background music, plus TVs over the bar showing sports. I ordered a beer and the Katsu Curry. The beer was very good, a nice fizzy crisp beer. The curry was a large bowl with rice and shredded cabbage at the bottom and some curried vegetables alongside the panko crusted chicken breast sliced beautifully on top. Everything tasted great. On a slightly warmer day it would be lovely to sit outside on the patio.

The whole setup is like a mini food hall with several authentic Chinese spots to choose from--but Chong Qing is where I landed. I ordered the crispy chicken with garlic sauce and swapped the white rice for a side of house lo mein (yes, it's an upcharge, but worth it). Everything came out on real dishes--not to-go boxes--which I loved. You order and pay at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring the food out to you. Now let's talk about the food... DELICIOUS. The spice level was just right--flavorful with a nice kick, but not overpowering. If you like it hotter, you can definitely add more heat, but I was perfectly satisfied as is. The lo mein was really good too--veggies were fresh with a nice crisp (those onions and carrots were hitting!), and everything tasted well-balanced. Only small note: I wish there was a little more meat in the dish, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. And let me say this--the portion size is VERY generous. I ate until I was full and still had just as much left to take home, which is always a win in my book. All in all, I'll definitely be back to try more. If you're in Chinatown Market and not sure what to pick, Chong Qing Hot Pot is a solid choice. 4/5 stars for me!

This plaza is also home to the very good Temp Doeloe (check that review) and China Hot Pot (aka Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot). The parking for this plaza is pretty tight but depending on your arrival time you should be able to find a space - might be a good idea to carpool just in case. I attended a meeting here of my regular Buford Highway Restaurant Clawr group - actually we had tried to come here once before but the guy was about to close, so this time we came earlier, only to find that you had to call ahead to get the whole duck (which is what we were the most interested in). This sparse, brightly painted place is more of a butcher than a restaurant - where fans can buy various animal bits like Duck head, neck, feet, wing, tounge or gizzard (similar for chicken), also cuts of beef tripe, stomach and tendon or pork ear, feet and leg. They also have several seafood items like crawfish, river snails and mussels. It's my understanding that this is a particular style of traditional Chinese cooking where the focus is on all the bits that are often discarded in the US. It's for a discerning palate and stuff you might find from street-food vendors in large Chinese cities. For Atlanta this is a way to get flavors you wouldn't otherwise find, perhaps to deal with a longing for home. Thus the clientele is made up mostly of Chinese nationalists. We opted for two very similar dishes (we weren't aware how similar until we got them) - one was a soup with clear noodles and the other basically the same thing without the broth. I thought the broth fairly decent and the bits fairly fresh if very rich. I don't mind tripe, beef stomach, blood sausage and the like but I try to only get it in occasional bites - getting a huge bowl was a bit overwhelming. I think if you're looking for something interesting this might be the place to start - I'm not too sure if I'd have this as a destination. The guy behind the counter was not very engaged, seeming to spend all his time on his phone, basically oblivious to us - I don't think we fit into his typical demographic.
