We ordered a bunch of different dishes to share. I'll try to capture my thoughts on all of them, but needless to say we all left full and very happy. Our sever, Alex, was also fantastic. Very attentive and super fast at getting our orders and our food delivered. I started with a refreshing dragonfruit and ginger beer non alcoholic drink. Citrusy and sweet and spicy. Highly recommend (ended up ordering a second one to go) For apps we ordered roti with curry Then came all the entrees: chow fun? Malaysian rice, bibimbap, gao bi, chicken curry, bbq streak, roti murtabak. All dishes were well balanced. Not too spicy. Not too sweet, enough acidity and umami. Portions were healthy and meant to be shared. Presentation was spot on. All of our proteins were cooked well. Meat was tender, chicken was juicy and seafood was perfectly on point. It serves bar food, it's a hole in the wall joint on the Dekalb Airport property, and it's located just in view of the landing strip. It's not a bad place... it's just average Came here for a birthday lunch and walked in. First off, the whole administration building of the Dekalb Airport is dated. Old flooring, old stair handles (they're pipes with about 400 coats of paint), dilapidated paint, small hallways, classic wood doors, and it's just a dated place. The restaurant isn't that far off. Dingy carpet, the interior seats roughly 40-50 people with the patio that seats another 20-30, dim lighting, and dated decor even for a dive bar style joint. The service. Basic. Fast, efficient, professional, as any food service should display with their staff. The food. It's bar food. Burgers, a little Mediterranean mix, and basic salad with some apps that are complete southern comfort foods like fried pickles and hush puppies. I decided with the fish n chips because 2 sides instead of one for an entree. When the food came, the fried cod pieces were... pleasantly small. I got 4 bits out of each one and between the crinkle cut fries and the glop of basic mayo based coleslaw, the meal was basic. Not bad but not thrilling either. All in all, it's a basic dive bar joint that's a bit expensive for what you get. 2 4"x4" square pieces of cod fish, a handful of fries and roughly an ice cream scoop worth of coleslaw for $16 plus tax and tip isn't all that great considering the quality of food and the digs. It's in the airport so that's cool that you can watch the plans take off but more or less, it's a dive bar.

I sent it back to which they warmed it but I was turned off by it at that point. The event for the night was the disco so definitely enjoyed going to the dance floor and at least enjoying that part. My friend enjoyed her night so I guess that's all that matters.

The good parts didn't outweigh the not-so-good for me. 1. Located on the 9th floor of The Westin, BUT, parking is mad affordable, which is a big relief as usually hotel rooftops have a static valet parking fee for $25 or more. There is a garage right in front of the entrance and its 5 bucks for up to 4 hours. 2. Views - decent enough for the 9th floor, but mostly overlooks trees and some highways. There isn't much to actually look at as far as a skyline. I was here in the daytime though, maybe at night with whatever city lights coming in, it may be a lil more charming. 3. Ambience - the inside was really nice, the tables were big and seating was comfy, a combo of cushioned chairs and velvety booths or couches. nice decor, and the outside portion of the rooftop also seemed very spacious, with a big main area as well as seating & a few more tables down the side of the building. I went during the yacht rock brunch period, so there was a live DJ spinning old hits from the 70s/80s. the music was at a cool volume, not so loud that you can't hear anyone speak, but not too low like background music - loud enough that you feel like its okay to vibe out. 4. 'parmesan potatoes' had a few sad dried dots of cheese and parsley but no seasoning whatsoever. i forced myself to eat about half. I live far from Duluth, so really no reason to come back. The regular Pepsi had a very Diet Pepsi taste to it, so the lines or mixtures were mixed up They gave the wrong burrito to the wrong people at the table, but we were unaware until one was half eaten (one should be no cilantro, and one had it). We had to wait a long time for a new burrito. It was nice of them to make us a new one and it was an honest mistake, but clear that their system for food delivery is a little flawed. They also forgot the sour cream on two orders (which again, not a huge deal - but they do charge extra for sour cream, so when you ask for it, you expect it the first time). There are also some problems in the bathroom. One sink was slowly filling up while washing hands, and some of the suds from my sink came up through the drain of the other sink. The other sink also had a faucet that was very wobbly and close to breaking off. Overall, the food was fine. The place wasn't terrible, but it was just a lot of little issues that built up to a less enjoyable experience.
