Spice Affair is an Indian restaurant that opened in 2017 and offers dining in, takeout, and delivery. The menu includes a wide variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian appetizers, entrees, sides, desserts, and beverages. I ordered food for delivery. Here are my and my husband's ratings for our foods: Garlic Naan - 4.5 stars - This naan was freshly baked and was topped with a good amount of garlic. Vegetable Platter - 4 stars - This appetizer was a sample of four breaded and fried vegetarian appetizers. I rate the samosa (potatoes and peas) as 4.5 stars, the veg pakora (fritters) as 4.5 stars, the paneer pakora (cheese) as 3.5 stars, and the mirch pakora (huge banana pepper stuffed with potatoes and herbs) as 3.5 stars. Non-Vegetarian Platter - 4 stars - This appetizer was a sample of three breaded and fried non-vegetarian proteins. I rate the lamb samosa as 4 stars, the chicken pakora as 4 stars, and the shrimp pakora as 4 stars. Shahi Navratan Korma - 4.5 stars - This entree contained mixed vegetables, nuts, and a spicy sauce. I had requested a spiciness level of 5 or medium, and the cook made it accordingly. Butter Chicken - 4.5 stars - This shredded tandoori chicken was covered with, in my husband's words, much "angry red" sauce that looked very spicy. He had requested a spiciness level of 1 or very low, and he felt thankful that the red sauce was actually mildly spicy.

Really surprised how good this place was! We had always ordered from People's Indian so we have high standards for Indian food in Pittsburgh. We picked up a feast that had our entire family stuffed and everything was under $100. Amazing value!! Dishes were authentic. Just be careful with the spice level. We got level 7/10 for a couple of dishes and they were nearly inedible. I'm not used to butter chicken being red like tikka masala but it was delicious. We picked up so didn't get the full experience but we will be back for sure. The food was soooo good and we'll packaged. The order was ready on time. Staff were friendly.

Great place with great food. I ordered here for a quick bite for lunch and was very impressed. I ordered vegetable pakoras because they're my fav and they had lamb samosas!! All in all a great selection with a lot of variety. Staff was so friendly and invited me to sit at the bar while I waited. Tasted great. Would fry pakoras for a bit longer but it was spiced amazingly. The lamb samosas too, there was some spice which was nice. Mint chutney and tamarind sauce also great.

Pros: Excellent Food, Socially Distanced Dining, Nice Dining Room, Good Music, Good Beverages Cons: Hit or Miss Service, Expensive, Cater to Cops Eaten here a few times since moving to the area. The first time was exceptional. Became my 2nd favourite Indian restaurant right away. Since then the service has gotten slower and we feel almost unwelcome despite being low-maintenance customers who tip well. The last time we were here the food was as good as ever and the chai was exceptional. I was also never offered a refill on my water and the server wasn't around to ask. We waited 20 minutes for the check despite being one of two tables dining in. I'd have assumed they were busy with -something-... if the manager? owner? hadn't been sitting at the bar chatting with a couple cops. (The cops were complaining that at another restaurant their food always took 15 minutes to be prepared and they didn't "have time for that". I guess that's why they always eat here. They get prioritized above everyone else.) I am not sure I'll give them another try. I can forgive slow service once in a while, but I find it harder to forgive treating some customers so much better that others are neglected, just because they carry a badge.

We came here on a Friday night and got seated right away. It was very busy so we didn't order until 15-20 minutes of waiting. Let me tell you though, that wait was SO worth it. One of our friends comes here often and says that this is the best Indian restaurant in Pittsburgh! You get these fried pita chips with 3 different dippings as a free appetizer. The butter chicken is AMAZING! Slightly sweet yet delicious. The Lamb Vindaloo is REALLY hot. You can choose your spice level out of 10. The Naan is DELICIOUS! The food came out pretty quick too! The menu has a lot of variety and vegetarian options too! There is street parking that is free after 5 PM. Definitely coming back for more!!!

Eleven's too rich for my blood, pilgrims, and I wasn't exactly lookin' dapper upon quittin' time at the caverns. I recalled that Lesvos #2 had changed hands and was currently under Indian ownership, so we walked there. When Kay peeked in and saw its barebones, pizza dive interiors, she didn't want to enter, but I coaxed her, and she caved. The proprietors were friendly and accomodating enough, but when I saw what was left of their Indian offerings in room temperature steampans, I immediately chose a gyro when I spotted a vertical broiler with a lamb loaf stuck in it. You're not imagining things. This restaurants sells Greek and Indian delicacies along with American fare such as hoagies, burgers, and chicken tenders. No, don't get excited. Read on. The cook tried to make the elastic gyro interesting by adding siracha sauce to the tzatziki, and had the meat been more edible, I'd have welcomed it. Instead, I felt as if someone was trying to hide a bad gyro in an exotic sauce. The fries were acceptable, the presence of skins indicating that they'd probably been cut fresh sometime during the day, their crisp quality indicating a correct double-dip in the hot fat. Those dolmades, however, were as mushy and cold as neglected orphanage porridge. May I have some more? No, thanks.
