Wow we were so pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. Recommended by our hosts, we came here for dinner one night on a recent family trip. They have a small parking lot next to the building which is nice. They also have outdoor seating available too when the weather is good. It is BYOB which is great, so be sure to bring your favorite bottle(s). The food was incredible!! Everything we had was good but the standouts were the shrimp, saltimbocca, and cacio e Pepe. We had such a wonderful experience recently at Spiaggetta. Marco personally arranged a large table for us in advance during the busy time in Stone Harbor. We really appreciated his efforts. Our server/waitress was outstanding. She was attentive, friendly, helpful, and had a great sense of humor. She made a difference. It makes such a difference when you have great service and Spiaggetta clearly understands that! There were 16 of us and the highlights were the Carbonara, Pork Ossobuco, meatballs, and Veal Saltimbocca. You can't go wrong with any of those. Ony disappointment was the Octopus. Two of us had the appetizer and it was burnt and tough for each of us. I mentioned it to our server and while she seemed to truly want to know our view, she did not make an adjustment on our bill, which frankly she should have. She did mention the octopus was prepared by a new chef and I am sure he will get better. It sat on a bed of Tuscan beans, which were delicious! She said the executive chef prepared all but the octopus. Hopefully next time. And Spiaggetta has not been infected by the credit card fee virus like a few others in Stone Harbor. They did not charge a percent convenience fee, which we appreciated. They get 5 stars just for that. We cannot wait to be back! read more

It's byob so that's a bonus. Our service was good but we were also there a bit before season. So when it's really crowded, who knows. The appetizers were good. And the food was pretty good. This is a me thing so take it for what it's worth. But I like my pasta really soft and I found the pasta here to be way undercooked for my liking. Again this is a personal issue. read more

Came here for Stone Harbor Restaurant Week and everything was fantastic from start to finish. We both went with the Prix Fixe meal of course. We got the Coda Suppli, gnocchi, sword fish, papa lina, longhots, and the limone ricotta. The coda suppli was an aracini filled with oxtail meat stew with rice. It was a very good savory flavor packed into that riceball. The gnocchi was a very cheesey and peppery flavor that we enjoyed. The swordfish was perfectly cooked and had excellent sauce alongside it. I did feel the portion on the swordfish entree was a little small, I think it could've used a side dish like veggies or something. It was a good meal all around. Even though it wasn't meant for us (since we didn't order that dish), we enjoyed watching the demonstration of the giant cheese bowl that was melted into a pasta dish. It was a fun distraction while waiting for our food. The prix fixe meal was a good value and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

Was in Avalon/Stone Harbor for a wedding over the weekend and the rehearsal dinner was at Spiaggetta. We learned it was byob before arriving and the hosts of the dinner did provide beer and wine. There was a server tending the alcohol (pouring wine & opening beers) for guests as we walked in. We had the front right side of the restaurant reserved for our party. Throughout the night the servers were great and kept everything running smoothly despite our large group. I thought the appetizers that were provided were very good. The Antipasto plates displayed beautifully. The Bruschetta was toasted nicely but still was soft and easy to chew while the tomato mixture was fresh and refreshing. The Calamari was also fried nicely and was very tender, and I loved the marinara it was served with. The meatballs (made with pork, veal, & beef) were big and very flavorful. My favorite though was the Eggplant Rolatini which was lightly breaded and super cheesy. Everything we were served I'd order again although I'd love to try the Octopus, Suppli, and Long Hots. Maybe at my next visit! For dinner we were able to choose from Rigatoni, Salmon served with potatoes, and Chicken Parm served with pasta. My girlfriend and I love sharing so we can taste multiple dishes so we got the Chicken Parm and the Salmon. I wasn't crazy about the spaghetti, but the chicken cutlet was thin and perfectly fried. The Salmon was also cooked just how I like it; not overdone but the top was browned and a little crisp. The house-made cookies were also a big hit at our table and went perfectly with the decaf coffee I ordered to finish up the night. As I said earlier, the staff did a great job with us the entire night. The food was very good and so was our experience. It was a great way to start off the wedding weekend. We dined here last night and it was an overall good experience for first timers! We were celebrating a birthday as well. The service was attentive and it was a nice atmosphere. We ordered a few appetizers, a salad and a soup and all were good. We dine at Spiaggetta every year when we visit Stone Harbor, and have never been disappointed. This year was no exception. I'm a Cacio e Pepe fan and last night we tried the tableside preparation. It's a wonderfully simple dish and when prepared properly can be exquisite. Just like Chef Marco's plate he put in front of us last night. We also had salmon, meatballs, spring salad, pasta bolognese and tiramisu. It was all superb! Our waiter Devin was terrific as well. Man, I love this place. My family and I eat here every summer and have since the pandemic, when the owner was so sweet and made room for us outside when he saw we were browsing around with no reservation at a time when you couldn't get into a SH restaurant without one! Our waiter this year was Devin, and he was a sweetheart. So attentive and just a nice human being. Got the rice balls and octopus and both were stellar. Everyone got pasta dishes (the mushroom one and the homemade one, I can't remember exact names) and they were to die for. Good, unfussy, unpretentious, loud vibes -- perfect for small kids (we have 3 and never felt awkward). The chef came out to say hi and that was nice too. We will be back for years to come. read more

Glad we returned after all these years. The space is very open (and it appears they have additional tables upstairs) and the staff all very friendly. There were 4 adults and two children and we had all eaten a late lunch so we just were all going to have entrees. We had somewhat early dinner reservations because we didn't want to miss the Thanksgiving Day parade thru town. Even at this early hour, the restaurant filled up very quickly. The kids had a half portion of Spaghetti and Meatballs with the meatballs not only enormous but delicious. Two of us ordered the Veal Saltimbocca with prosciutto, sage and mozzarella in a white wine sauce, served with a side of pasta marinara. Very good. The Bronzino with Broccoli Rabe and mascarpone polenta was delicious as was the Pappardelle Rabbit Bolognese - braised rabbit ragout in homemade pasta. So before tip, the bill came to around $200. We had such an amazing experience at their feast of the seven fishes celebration. If you are anywhere near the south jersey area, this is worth the experience (we came down from philadelphia, but frequently visit stone harbor - hence our knowledge of the event.) The atmosphere couldn't have been any better for this sitting. The restaurant was decked out with decorations and ornaments, really embracing the holiday cheer. They even had a violinist, which set such a great mood for the evening. It was a 3 hour seating, so be prepared for that. That is noted at the time of rsvp'ing. It was a legit 7 course meal, with a solid variety of seafood and italian cuisine. My wife is a vegetarian, and they even catered an entire menu per her dietary restriction (which was all fantastic by the way.) BYO to top it all off, making this not only fun but affordable. We can't wait to come back in the future. If I had to call one dish out, it would be the Baccala. This traditional dish for the feast of the seven fish is something you can't regularly find on any given menu. It was cooked perfectly, rich & creamy, and highlighted the cod and potatoes nicely. We were a party of 7. They put is in the parking lot. Literally. I personally liked it. My family did not like it. They felt at these prices we should not be at a table in the parking lot on gravel. A car was parked next to me. There were 3 tables in the parking lot and one had children. Wait staff was Good. My zucchini flowers appetizer was ok but my cousin's were ice cold. My brother-in-law had ice cold fried calamari. Rotolini had a sauce with no flavor. The chateriea board was bad. Grilled bread bad. Prosciutto was not good quality. The portion was crazy small (4 slices) for $44. We did not finish it. Cacio and Pepe was dry. My fish was forgettable. Manager(?) brought out free cannoli for dessert apologizing for broken fryer and he took it off the bill. Was disappointed in the food- this is an annual dinner with all the cousins (7 of us). This past weekend I held my daughter's bridal shower in the upstairs banquet room. Everything was beautifully set up according to my wishes and Bella was very patient and accommodating with last minute changes to seating. The whole staff was excellent! I received many comments about how great the food was and the beautiful room. The assistant chef came up to introduce himself and came up later as well. Spiaggetta's is one of our favorites Italian restaurants at the South Jersey Shore. Their delectable menu items are always spot-on! Last night my bride had "LIMONCELLO" - Breast of chicken sautéed with Limoncello cream and fresh seasonal herbs. Served with fusilli pasta, which was exquisite. I had one of their House Specialties, "CACIO E PEPE" - Spaghetti, tossed with a sauce of black pepper and aged pecorino cheese that was exceptional. However, this is where the positive dining experience ended. Our server was curt, gruff, impersonal and seemed bothered. Our attempt to engage in conversation with him was always ignored. His behavior was an aberration from the usual warm and friendly norm that we are accustomed at Spiaggetta's. Next time back, we will request anyone but him! read more

I had the BURRATA as an appetizer. My wife had the CAPRESE salad. Both were perfect. Entrees consisted of Grilled shrimp over zucchini risotto with crispy pancetta creamy Pinot Grigio vinaigrette. I had mine sans the pancetta. We loved that dish. Dessert was sorbet and cheesecake. To die for is an understatement. Great service + Great food + Great atmosphere! My husband and I came here on a Saturday night on a whim and I am so happy we did. We sat outside at a small table and it was perfect for us. The dining area also looked very nice. We started off with the Calamari which was so crispy and perfect. However, the portion is huge and was way more than my husband and I could eat! Definitely recommend for 3+ more people. For our entrees I ordered the Norcina and changed the rigatoni to gnocchi. It was incredible. Just the right amount of truffle as well! My husband ordered the papardelle bolognese and loved his too. Our waitress was sooo nice and knew the menu extremely well. The only downside to Stone Harbor is the meter parking. We were here in the off season and still had to drive around a bunch of times to find parking. The hostess at Spiagetta was kind enough to give us quarters for parking too! In Rome a couple of years ago I learned about Pasta Amatriciana. I am not a fan of strong cheesey flavors so I was aware that sometimes Amatriciana is perfect for me and sometimes the pecorino is a bit too strong. I gave it a go here and it was very strong pecorino flavored (which some people would love!). Marco the owner came by and noticed that it wasn't to my liking. He immediately insisted on getting me a new pasta dish with pommadoro sauce. I resisted beacause it was my fault but he wanted me to enjoy my meal. The replacement dish was great. AND he changed the price to a lower amount because the new dish was less expensive. How often does that happen at a busy restaurant? I left happy from a good meal and very impressed by the management/service of the restaurant. Highly recommended. read more

Spiagetta is the best Italian restaurant in Stone Harbor! Our family has eaten here three times in two weeks while vacationing. The food is freshly prepared, homemade and the service is above and beyond excellent. The quality of fresh ingredients and true Roman dishes gives you a slice of the old country. We started with two appetizers, the eggplant rolantini and the suppli' which are ricotta balls filled with meat sauce and mozzarella cheese, both were so tasty and plenty to share. For entrees, we had the veal saltimbocca, the shrimp with risotto, norcina, and fettuccini in aruora sauce. All dishes were so delicious and large enough that you wanted others to try. Dinner 6/3/17 I don't know where to start with my accolades for this fine dining establishment. We had a family reunion dinner of 37 here last Saturday night which was arranged with Marco, the owner, a month ago. This very personable restauranteur made it an absolute pleasure to accomplish this. Marco, who is from Rome, the City of Love, and food, helped us create a custom menu selection to please all who would attend our affair. When we arrived some members of the family were detained due to parking problems ( understandable in the resort on a beautiful weekend). I suggest that you come early to get a space in Marco's parking lot located in back of the restaurant. The delay of our complete party was taken in stride by Marco's excellent staff with appetizers brought to the table quickly to quell the stomach rumblings of our hungry tribe. An appetizer of authentic Italian antipasto was sooo delicious with the aged cheeses, and cured meats of mortadella, prosciutto , Genoa Salami, and assorted roasted peppers and olives was as good as homemade from Grandma's kitchen. Trays of bruschetta were already on the table when we arrived, honestly, I am not a real fan of this dish but sampling it I became addicted to this restaurant's recipe for this savory plate! The melding of oil, garlic, tomato, onion, and spices put me into an extremely euphoric state! An additional appetizer, plates of fried calamari brought to the table were delicately breaded, fried, and greaseless, simply DELICIOSO. My mouth is watering just thinking about some of our entree selections, my Veal Marsala was one of the best I have ever enjoyed, with reports of the Filet Mignon, cooked perfectly; tender and delicious, other entrees of chicken parmesan, were enjoyed. One slight glitch was that one of our party mentioning the day after our dinner the fact that her salmon entree was burned on the bottom. I am quite sure that if brought to the staff's attention that it would have been addressed immediately .
