Petunia is absolutely delightful. The staff are wonderful and welcoming. The location is easy to access and the space is lovely. Importantly, the food is OUTSTANDING. We went with a group of 9 in all and everything was fresh and delicious. I cannot recommend d this BYOB enough.

This place is very nice, we got a gift card when we purchased Georges' CMCH BOGO promo. The bread was a bit dry (focaccia only. The round bread was perfect). The parking situations less than perfect. But the food was delicious! We finished off with the cannoli which was crispy and tasty. Definitely will come back again!

Homemade pastas, great ambience indoors, generous portions! To my surprise, my favorite dish is the gourget meatballs and spaghetti entree. The owner and the staff are lovely. The indoor seating is quite lovely and intimate. Outdoor ambience looked unimpressive. Bring a flashlight to read the menu. BYOB. We loved this new find so much that we ate here 2x in summer 2023. Much better than over-priced, underwhelming 7-mile island food. We will be back next year.

ohk this spot here *CHEF'S KISS* my oh my was this place delicious. we came to celebrate a birthday so we ordered a few items from the menu and ill so happy we did. appetizers were so good we forgot to even take pictures app: truffle b&b- everything about it was delicious. ricotta meatballs- the homestyle meatballs were perfectly cooked. toasted ravioli- loved the combination of the italian sauce and sundried tomato sauce. all entrees ordered were sooo good. even the mushroom pappardelle was delicious and i'm not a mushroom fan. gnocchi was amazing and the amatriciana was a perfect italian dish. jessica was our server and she was soo nice. we were seated inside, which had a few tables. not overcrowded. you do have to order apps and entrees at once. we were provided 2 ice buckets for our bottles. this place just opened up in 2023, but i must say, if they continue with a menu as good as i tried last night then they should be staying for a very long time.

The food was good, and served promptly. For their prices they should not be charging for bread.

What a lovely little spot on the Main Line! I am an afternoon tea connoisseur, so my expectations…read morewere rather high... and they were surpassed! I had been in the area for several days to tour apartments and daycares in advance of our planned move to Pennsylvania next year... so a lovely tea was my little splurge on the trip after days of drinking protein shakes on the go. I made a reservation for 10 am on Sunday, right when they opened, since I was going to go straight to the airport afterward. I was seated immediately, and everything came out pretty fast. I opted for the full afternoon tea, which comes with eight tea sandwiches, a scone with clotted cream, lemon curd, and strawberry preserves, and three assorted mini pastries, along with a pot of tea. You can choose up to four flavors for the sandwiches (so you get two of each flavor for a total of eight mini sandwiches), so I got the curried chicken salad, egg salad, cucumber and cream cheese, and cheddar cheese and chutney. Most tea places give you four sandwiches per person, so there was no way I was finishing eight of these. Thankfully, I got four of them in a to-go box and they ended up being a tasty snack on the plane. The curried chicken salad was my favorite (which they sell in their to-go containers in the gift shop), followed by the cucumber and cream cheese (the cucumbers were thinly sliced, which makes a big difference!). The egg salad was good, but a bit mild-flavored. I can't say I loved the cheddar cheese and chutney combo, so in the future I might just opt for more of the curried chicken or cucumber sandwiches instead. For the scone, I chose blueberry citrus, which was delicious! I used a very thin layer of the lemon curd, followed by the strawberry preserves and topped with the clotted cream. All of the flavors worked quite well on the scone. I wasn't blown away by the mini desserts (I can't recall exactly what flavors they were, but there was a posset that was a bit saltier than I was expecting, a blueberry cream puff, and a mini cake slice). But as I've gotten older, I've found myself more drawn to the savory aspect of afternoon teas anyway. The rest of the meal was delicious enough, and filling enough, that I honestly was never going to be able to finish everything. I was dining solo here, and I'm guessing not a lot of people do a tea for one, so I ended up chatting with 4-5 different employees here over the course of my meal. I have to say that the service here may have been the friendliest I've experienced pretty much anywhere. Everyone I spoke with was so welcoming and kind! When it came time for me to leave, they all wished me a safe trip back to Florida and said they hoped to see me again as one of their "regulars" once we move. I can already tell you, I hope that's the case too! This place is adorable, inside and out. And I love the assorted British foods available in the gift shop, along with fun kitchenware. If my suitcase hadn't already been packed to the brim, I probably would've spent more money in that shop. I'm looking forward to returning next year once I escape the Sunshine State :)

Browse the British gifts and snack items in the attached shop as you wait for your table. If reservations aren't required, they're highly recommended because the few times we've been here it's been full. Fun atmosphere for a staycation lunch and the array of available teas is amazing. Our favorite this time was the summer seasonal Mai Tai, a refreshing, light, and fruity brew.

Management and ownership have never attended a tea service or researched how to host one Each table is limited to two selections and two pots of tea. Don't agree? Oh well. Refills? Extra charge. But wait you actually receive three pots of tea because upon seating a pot of the "seasonal" herbal tea is served whether you like it or not.m Additionally serving milk with black tea selections is apparently not standard practice here and needs to be specifically requested. The Earl Grey tea is excellent First course: salad. Hopefully no one in your party has severe nut allergies because before even taking tea selections a plate of spring mix buried under a pile of walnuts is dropped in front of you. Those in our party able to eat the salad did not enjoy it Second course: savouries. Finger sandwiches were fresh. Chicken salad was excellent. Egg salad on croissant was good I personally disagree with quiche being served as it's non-traditional but it is accepted in many circles and the quiche was also good However I have absolutely no doubt that the chicken salad and egg salad were scooped out of premade tubs from Sysco or Restaurant Depot judging by the sweets Scones: underbaked. Disappointing given reviews raving about them. Maybe we received a bad batch maybe the local population has never had a decent scone. Will not be returning to find out Presumably since the savoury scone (an abomination in my opinion) was served in the same course as a sweet scone the only butter served was a savoury herb butter. As a result there was no butter available for the "butterscotch" scone and there would not have been enough anyway considering we received about a tablespoon of butter and two tablespoons of both other toppings between five people The "clotted cream" has been addressed as it was the most offensive part of enduring this experience. Rather than a traditional jam or marmalade none of which we were served we were given a "mango compote." How someone decided mango and butterscotch are complementary I have no idea. Anyone in this industry would recognize Reàl purée squeezed out of a plastic bottle Sweets: thaw and serve La Boulangerie des Gourmets frozen macarons (which include a pistachio flavor and are packaged in one tray so again watch for nut allergies if you think you're safe eating a lemon macaron as this obviously isn't disclosed). I see these are being sold separately outside of the tea service 6/$14. They are 57¢ ea Chocolate mousse mix piped into a plastic cup with a processed whipped topping. The most edible dessert Menu lists lemon cheesecake server identified small tarts as key lime pie. Not sure which we received but can note the filling at least (probably not the tart shell) is made in house because we received more than one batch with one having not even a hint of citrus Saving the worst for last the "strawberry" cupcake. First and foremost cupcakes chocolate mousse and macarons (and most egregious cannolis listed on the children's menu) are not standard sweets served with afternoon tea. But this cupcake? The cupcakes we were served here were the driest cake I have ever seen in my life completely inedible. The frosting was some sort of processed palm oil goo and neither cake nor frosting had any strawberry flavor Atmosphere and service: service was friendly albeit casual slow and not attentive. Server was not very knowledgeable. Not her fault Space was fine if gaudy. Table was crowded. I share another reviewer's sentiment but the table cloth was about a foot longer than the table was high which made sitting movement or pushing a chair in difficult. It felt like wearing a heavy blanket that was pulled taut the entire experience Paper napkins and plastic dishes. At over $40 per person you would expect more As a side note standard afternoon tea practice is being offered or asking for additional items the guests like. However the menu had prices listed for additional sides of all items served on the tea service. Given the quality vs cost this felt particularly gauche It's hard to comprehend why the owners or management here can't get the tea service right. The hardest part is finger sandwiches and freshness which they seem to have managed. Good quality premade desserts are available and scones are not difficult to make. It honestly seems like a lack of effort on their part or a lack of respect for their customers which is frustrating All in all a very expensive abysmal experience. I'm sure there are decent afternoon teas available in this area at a similar price. Fortnum and Mason and the Covent Garden Hotel in London both known for afternoon teas charge £45 per person Two stars for the chicken salad server and Earl Grey

All last week the various weather models were all over the place. Most showed the storm hugging the coast. The storm was to move in as the sun went down and darkness set in. Sunday morning the forcast had changed. The storm moved westward. All that lived in the Philadelphia news station viewing area were to get hit earlier with more snow than expected. At 10 AM West Chester Borough declared a snow emergency. I expected to hear from the tea room. I did not. Around 11 I placed a call to the event coordinator. I expressed my concerns. She was very nice but said that I needed to speak with the owner. I placed a call to her and received an immediate attitude. I explained my concerns for not only my party but her employees leaving there after 5. I was also concerned about parking. She told me the borough always calls a snow emergency. It was fine, park in the garage. I asked if we could reschedule. She was open to that but I was expected to pay for this party in full. I had signed a contract. I stated that I was not doing that. Weather was no fault of hers or mine. We need to work together. She was silent. I suggested we split her cost of food and preparation. She drop the food off at a shelter so that it did not go to waste. I would start over and reschedule my party with her. She would not hear of this. The shelter would not take her cooked food. She would forgive the room charge and gratuity. I was expected to pay full price (40) for each meal and come pick it up. Other option was to be there at 12:30. It was 11:40. No way to contact 22 people and have them there in 50 minutes when many live an hour away. I had asked on Friday if the time could be moved up. It could not as she had over 80 reservations. Clearly she had lots of cancelations. As it stands now she has my deposit. The Borough of West Chester posted that all garages were full around 1 PM. My party was scheduled for 2:30. No garage or street parking would have been available. See attached photo. Look at the time stamps.
