My friend hosted her baby shower here. The location is very cute and on the corner near some other local shops. There is a small parking lot across the street, as well as street parking or other back lots behind other shops. The day of the baby shower, there unfortunately was a festival which required the entire street to be shut down. Thankfully I received a ride to the teahouse from my husband, but parking was a little difficult for patrons who arrived after me. The inside of the restaurant is super cute, and they have three different rooms. Her party was separated into two rooms, and in the middle room is where the favors, cake, and gifts were stored. The china was beautiful and perfectly matched each set. Our waitress was really friendly and helpful when we were asking for recommendations on teas to choose from. We were given a house blend tea, and able to choose from two other tea flavors for the table. We ended up picking the Apple Spice and Lorie Valley Peach. My favorite out of those two were the Lorie Valley Peach. Apple Spice was good, but felt heavier (like Christmas). We then had a tray filled with tea sandwiches, scones, and desserts. The chocolate chip scone was absolutely delicious! I wish I could have eaten it all, but we were so full! When it was time for our friend to open gifts, since everyone was spread out, we all had to stand up from where we were seated and walk into the next room (with everyone standing around). It got a little crowded, but it was still nice. We also appreciated that the restaurant allowed champagne and juice to be brought in, so we had "Mom-osas"! The bathroom is cute and is one person only. They also have a small alcove with a photobooth (including props) which is super cute! You are even able to send the pictures to your phone. We had a great time!

Was a guest at a baby shower here and it was delightful. Even as a non tea drinker I enjoyed the intimate, bright space while we showered the mom to be. There are two rooms, one larger (30 guests) the other smaller (15 guests). The only negative was there is one bathroom located in the larger party space so we ended up feeling like we were infringing on the other party to get to the bathroom. Other than that it's a nice space with a lot of decor potential. We had a choice of 3 teas for the table. We leaned towards fruit forward teas and they were delicious! Everyone also chose a scone of their choice. Do yourself a favor and choose the savory garlic, herb scone, it was perfection. The tea sandwiches were good but not great. The dessert was very surprising! Everything was so yummy and the perfect contrast to the sandwiches with the tea. The chocolate mousse was a favorite, the whipped cream is YUMMMM. Fruit tart was perfectly tart and delectable. Overall a great experience, would come again!

I ordered a bistro box according to the specifications directly from the website and did not receive what I paid for. I tried a bite of what looked like cut up strawberries and feta on hard bread, and it was awful. Then when we called to let them know, we were simply told, "Sorry, the bistro box is seasonal, and those things you asked for shouldn't be there available to order." (And yet, they are.) Feels like bait and switch to me, which is very irritating. It wouldn't have been the biggest deal in the world, if the food that I received were not things that I don't love, and the scone, which has been very good in the past, is cold and hard, as opposed to being recently baked. Used to love this place and am disappointed with this experience as well as with the fact that they didn't make it right when informed of how it was wrong.

I had received a gift card to Jane's last year for Christmas and wanted to try it. I was very frustrated when I arrived as parking is very minimal, the city is tearing up the streets and the police had two spaces blocked out front. I actually called from the car, but the staff at Jane's weren't much help. I was also surprised when walking in that there was a lunch card coffee from Dunkin sitting on the counter, clearly one of the staff members. We had the High Tea. The sandwiches were good, but very small and the sweets were so sweet that could not be eaten. The decor was done poorly, and not attractive at all. Our table near the window wobbled and spilled everything set on it. Unfortunately compared with other tea rooms this one did not measure up.

To start off, I would never have chosen to go here, but my lovely lady made the plans for the day. Excuse the pun , but a place like this is not my cup of tea. We went there and it was a pre-fixed menu where they bring out a pot of tea to share, and then you start off by selecting any additional tea. You get a salad, it has blue cheese crumbles with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Then they bring out the food tower. It had savory and sweet scones with clotted cream, herb butter and mango chutney . The sandwitches were small two bite sandwiches, and they were just okay. The desserts were two bites also and it was a very light lunch. Overall, she was happy, so I was happy, but I would never choose to go there myself. It's was nice to experience with her.

PRO TIP: Do not come hungry, do not come expecting a full meal. You are basically paying for an "experience." A pricey choice for our book club - 9 of us, and with tip, we each shelled out $43. Don't bother walking in - you need a reservation, especially on weekends. I get it, you're paying for the experience of a tea house, but I guess it just wasn't my cup of tea. Don't come hungry - the miniscule tea sandwiches are not going to fill you up unless you eat like a bird. The tea that was served to us automatically was reminiscent of English breakfast tea - you'd think for a tea house, we'd get something a little more exotic. It was LOUD in there - good for them, they had a full house, but we could hardly hear each other. Bummer - It took forever to be served, and then we had to be told to leave because they had a reservation coming in 10 minutes and they needed our tables. We just spent close to $400, so that was disappointing. They do have fabulous scones - but at the a la carte price of nearly $5 each...

I love tea and nothing like visiting Jane's Tea House is a great family owned and operated business. I love the location and the whole idea of this quaint little town. I was able to meet 'Lady Jane'. To start parking was easier than I thought and Jane's Tea house is easy to find. The decor inside and out is very inviting. Once inside the staff is friendly and the service is prompt. I read the reviews so I ordered my to go scone's immediately. TGlad I did they were delicious. The tea, food, company and service were all very good. I felt relaxed and satisfied at the end. Compared to other tea houses serving afternoon tea the price is slightly higher but not significant just enough to mention. One suggestion to help customers tea to remain hot provide some type of heating element; a teapot warmer base with a tea light candle, wrap the pot in a 'cozy' or offer more hot water. This is the difference between 4 and 5 stars. Would I return? Yes even with the 40 minute drive!

Pros - very cute set up once you walk inside - their teas are amazing! I absolutely loved the mango mist - they offer generous food portions for their afternoon tea set - the teapots and cups are so adorable, made me want to buy a set myself! - service is wonderful, our server took the time to explain each item and how to order Cons - no diaper changing table in the bathroom :( - the setup is nice but I wish they offered a warmer environment that's more conducive to lounging and relaxing (eg more comfortable chair and tables) - the building is quite old so you could tell they tried to patch up certain old parts of the shop in a cheap way Overall, food and service is awesome but atmosphere of the place needs some work

So happy with our bridal shower at Jane's! First... the food was excellent. Love the scones, quiche and of course, dessert! Charming tea room, easy location and sweet touches everywhere you look. Amazing tea selections - lots of choices of quality teas! Family owned, easy to work with and accommodating, professional service and lots of smiles all around. Could not have asked for more.

Such a cute and fun place. The Christmas tea I went to was a great menu and they easily accommodated my allergies. Everything was tasty and looked beautiful

I recently attended a Sunday afternoon tea at Jane's Tea House with my Mother, Sisters and Daughter. We absolutely loved it. We easily made a reservation online as seating is currently limited with state Covid restrictions. We did the afternoon tea menu, which was a set price and included unlimited hot tea in the flavor of your choice, a tea cookie, a sandwich platter (pre-selected), a scone of your choice (sweet or savory available) and a dessert platter (also pre-selected). All of the food was delicious. I opted for the bacon scone and ordered the chocolate chip scone for my daughter - both were served warm and tasted amazing. I'd go back for the scones alone! I also loved the chicken salad, and of course the desserts. The staff was amazing. Our waitress in particular was excellent. She was attentive, friendly and totally accommodating of my toddler. We're planning on hosting a shower here in the future, but I know I'll be back in the meantime!

Fun experience with a group of friends. We had reservations for the first seating at 11 am. We arrived hungry! Our $33 afternoon tea had unlimited tea, a tea biscuit, a choice of a sweet or savory scone, 4 delicate tea sandwiches and an array of mini desserts. Very pretty presentation and portions for lady like appetites.

Jane's Tea House was delicious! Some of our favorites included the chicken salad croissant, butterscotch scone, blueberry/lemon scone, and the mango tea! We were a party of two, so the seating arrangement was right next to two parties against the wall so we felt a little squished! Also, the Mother's Day cupcake tasted like it was a day or two old - very dry. Other than that, I highly recommend! Try to sit by the front window for a better ambiance! Will definitely come back!

Out of all of my visits, my favorite is the weekend brunch menu. There are so many yummy things to choose from like the breakfast burrito, the banana Forester French toast, the various of Benedict's including crab, and there were a bunch of various breakfast sandwiches, but the most menu appealing one that I liked is the pork roll. On my last trip I wound getting a chicken brie apples bacon on brioche bread. It was a special of the day. From the moment I bid into it, I knew I would love it for the savoriness, the crisp and sweet tasting bread. There was a side of potatoes... Very nicely seasoned and the perfect crunch to them. On my last visit, it was a total of 10 people in our group and the customer service was great. We were all able to pay with separate checks... Always a perk. The waiter was super super friendly and kept our coffee refills going. Inside it is busy which could lead away from the quiet ambience, but I didn't mind it at all.

The tofu burnt ends and bbq jack fruit sounded so intriguing that I almost begged the kind server to ask the chef if they could serve a side portion. Otherwise the bbq is served in pound increments. For my lucky tummy, they obliged and wow those are both delicious vegan options! Maybe next time, i will visit here earlier during my trip to be able to take home leftovers. Booth was cozy and love that water bottle to refill my glass is on my table which sounds weird but I drink alot of water! Small place , would recommend reservations for weekend dining. Parking lot was limited too. Enjoy!

I have stayed in countless B & Bs and have contacted Select Registry (the B & B directory that highlights luxury inns) four times to suggest myself to become one of their reviewers. They haven't responded, and maybe they shouldn't hire me because I'm brutally honest, picky, and have high standards when it comes to inns. Inns have to pay a hefty fee to be featured that book, so I'd probably piss off their paying inns. But I'd make a lot of them happy, too, because when something is good, I let the world know. But I digress. Let's get back to Haddonfield Inn. I'd like to give them 5 stars because they are a dog-friendly inn. And when I called to book the room, Nicole, the innkeeper's daugher, was such a sweetheart. I really, really wanted this to be a fantastic experience because it's close to NYC, they take dogs, and we could return time and time again. Yay for NJ! We were off to a GREAT start! Right? WRONG. We get here and I go to the restroom to relieve myself. I see that the maid has not yet cleaned the floor... there's hair and dirt on the floor. I know, I know. I'm picky, but for $259 a night, a clean bathroom would be a nice touch. I told the innkeeper (I was very nice and charming about it) and she came to clean it herself. It took her 2 seconds flat. She ran back out and called my name. "Angela, you owe us another $20 because you are only staying for one night. Can I have your credit card again?" Huh?? Now normally an extra 20 bucks would not throw me. But we were told when I booked the room that it was $259 and were sent the receipt in a follow-up confirmation. So I asked her about it and she just mumbled something about the fact that Nicole made a mistake and she was just going to have to charge me the extra $20. I told her that this is not what was told to us when we booked and I had the receipt to prove it. She turned to me and said, "Well, if you aren't happy about it, you can just leave." I stuck my 8-month pregnant belly out (just in case she missed it... doesn't she know that you aren't supposed to mess with a lady who is that pregnant?) and said, "I'm not unhappy, I'm shocked at the way you are treating your customer." She knew she was wrong and after mumbling some comments that I chose not to hear, she said she'd reimburse us the $20. And, to her credit, she wrote us an apology note later in the evening. I would have given this place 2 stars, but because Nicole was such a nice person to us and because they accept dogs, I give them a freebie star.

Since this was practically the only lodging available in Haddonfield, we were very thankful that we were able to bring the 2 year old on the trip with us. Drinks, snacks, and wine were available at any hour of the day. We really liked our room, but it got pretty chilly on our first night. We could not figure out how to turn on the fireplace in our room. We found out the next morning that the gas was off in the entire house, which was why we couldn't turn the fireplace on. The space is clean, modern, and welcoming, and the staff was genuinely pleasant from the start. Julian, our server, greeted us promptly, got coffee on the table quickly, and kept everything moving smoothly. In addition to standard coffee, they offer craft espresso-bar style drinks, which is a nice touch whether you are there for breakfast or brunch. The restaurant also has outdoor seating, not ideal in December, but it would be great in warmer weather for people-watching along Haddonfield's main street. The menu has plenty of options, and I went with the fennel sausage frittata with roasted potatoes and bacon. It was hearty and well executed, the bacon was crisp, the potatoes were crunchy, and the portion was generous enough that I could not finish it. My wife ordered the green goddess roll, which she really enjoyed, though her potatoes came out cold while mine were hot, the only real miss of the visit. We also shared a bowl of lentil soup, which was perfect for a cool day and a nice surprise on a brunch menu. This spot works well for weekdays or weekends, breakfast or brunch, and it does get busy, so reservations are a good idea or be prepared to wait with a coffee. Pricing felt very reasonable for the area, and overall it was a good stop we would happily return to.
