I am so disappointed in this place. Been coming here for years. Keri was always so sweet and helpful. Now that she's not around things are different. The owner is often on edge and grumpy. Not to me, but to other customers and even his own employees. I was charged FORTY SIX DOLLARS (and 51 cents) for passport photos for my son and I. It felt steep at the time but I had no clue. It had been 10+ years since I had to take a passport photo. He told me "hey I'm saving you money, they woulda charged you more over there" referring to where I was getting my passports processed, I'm assuming. The day of my passport appt I learned his photos were unacceptable due to the background looking light blue and I was turned away. So I had to leave my appt, find a Walgreens and take the photos again. This time I only paid 17 dollars and that's when I knew I was disgustingly overcharged here at speedy. I went in today to get a refund and he insisted that the people at the post office were stupid and "full of sh*t" and in capable of doing their jobs. Along with several other expletives, like it was MY fault that 1. They didn't accept them and 2. Like it wasn't HIS photos (that he took on his iPhone, btw) that caused the issue. His behavior was pompous and wildly unprofessional. A few days prior to having my passport photos printed here, I also paid to have him print my passport applications. I paid 35 dollars for that. Again, I stupidly had no clue what something like that costs, so I paid it. But, after learning I was bamboozled on the photos, I went to fedex kinkos to print the exact same things I printed at speedy just to see if I was ripped off on that, too, and SHOCKER it was only ELEVEN FREAKING DOLLARS. I'm pissed, but mostly really disappointed that he up-charges 3-4 times the amount something SHOULD be. I get why this business would charge a little more, as he is a third party and needs to make money, too. But at the rate he is over charging should be criminal. I wasn't going to leave this review until I read ALL the MANY others just like it. You should be ashamed of yourself. Taking advantage of people like this. It's disgusting and shows you lack character, decency, grace, work ethic and morals. He's too much of an a$$hole to care, but never again will I give this prick my business. Ever. read more

First off, even though this address is what was on my final receipt...GPS sends you in a completely different area. This place is across the street from The UPS Store in Atascocita. So a few things about the negative reviews: The seem to all be dated in 2013 and the biggest complaint seems to be about pricing. With that said, I had to ship an item that was of an odd shape and size. They didn't have the box but Keri looked up a few places for me where I may could find a box of that size. Her willingness to help is what made me bring the item back to her to ship once I got a box. The fee was actually lower than I expected and cheaper than what The UPS Store wanted to charge me so I left very happy and pleased with my interaction. read more

This is for the Speedy Mail & Parcel in Atascocita. They wanted $ 110.16 to ship a package of an item I'd sold on eBay. The eBay generated label cost $ 37.61. When asked if they'd print the eBay label they said they don't do that. Cause you know, they mustn't have a printer there. Or because they'd lose out on their 66% markup. I think it's safe to say that they're unethical and should be avoided at all costs. read more

What a rip-off! It was 4:45, and I was in the atascocita area with a pre-addressed priority mail envelope. Anyone who lives in the area knows the nearest post office is pretty far (downtown humble), so I saw Speedy mail and thought this would be my best bet before 5pm. To my dismay, I walk in and see the 'we ship usps' sign, but find out the price for these services are DOUBLE the post office price. I was expecting to pay around $5.50 for the flat rate envelope, but this place charges $11.50. By this time, it's almost 5p and I have no choice but to pay the inflated price to get my package moving. After the transaction, the high school employee says the mail has already been picked up for the day...before 5p. So i'm paying double for priority, and it's not even going to ship the same day? I will never come here again, and find it shocking people pay those inflated prices. In a bind as I was, I can understand, but they're taking advantage of the suburban convenience. read more

Earlier in the day, I had shipped a package to WV that weighed 10 lbs and the total cost was $14. When I brought that up, he told me I could find some where else. I have been a customer at the Atascocita location for the last 4 years. Speedy is always helpful and always friendly! Speedy goes out of his way to make sure that my business mailing needs are met. When he can, he even helps me bring in the boxes that I need mailed, if he is busy, he lets me use the dolly to bring in my packages. Neither UPS or FedEx meet Speedys' customer Service ! read more

I was in a hurry big hurry, had to be in Lake Charles for a wedding rehearsal by 3:00pm and it was already after 12:00pm. Had I not been in such a rush, I would have would have taken the extra 10 minutes and gone to Copy Ship and Post behind the McDonald's on 1960, but I waited until the last minute and this was the last day I could ship without paying a late fee. The package had a prepaid label, and at Copy Ship and Post, they accept it for free, however at Speedy Mail and Parcel, they charged me a $3.00 "UPS pickup fee".
