Veronica is very hard of hearing, inconsiderate and very rude. They claim to give you a courtesy call to remind you when your payment is due but did not. I asked for extension on due date and she said they charged my account already, and the day wasn't even over yet. Very unprofessional, this will be the last time I do business here. When I asked why I didn't receive courtesy call she replied "oh well" and made no attempt in apologizing. She also try's to demean you by constantly asking "what's your name again". I wish I could give 0 starts. It's New Years Eve and I went in because I needed to buy groceries but my bank account was overdrawn. As if this year wasn't tough already, one of the employees here just made it worse. I came in with the hopes of getting cash, but instead this stupid worker messed everything up. I wanted to get $200 cash so that I could eat. I have been struggling financially and haven't ate a good meal in a few days. I called off 6 days of work because I couldn't commute (lack of money). I had to choose between feeding my dog or using that money for transportation. With that being said I thought it would be a good way to buy food until I get paid the 4th. I asked her to NOT wire the money to my bank because I would still be at a negative amount despite the 200$. I asked for CASH. When I told her this she said she had to begin the process again. I didn't mind it. I should point out that this employee had a terrible attitude even before I began the conversation. Once she was done I had to sign a few documents and then I asked about the cash.. she got so defensive and said "what cash?" "I wired it to your bank account!" Her blatant rudeness and disregard to my simple request was so upsetting. Her excuse is were "I couldn't hear you!" And she proceeded to say that they always give cash , which she failed to mention anytime during the transaction. YOU WORK IN CUSTOMER SERVICE IF YOU CANT HEAR A CUSTOMER ASK ASK ASK. Don't try and play victim and not apologize. You don't know what people are going through. They couldn't reverse it they kept saying. They don't have a set schedule for payments to come out of people bank accounts they will take every last penny you have for example I had $140 they took it and more now im negative what like 60-80 dollars and then they say they will call you back and never do I paid off my loan and they still keep taking money read more

So i went to cash a check from my retirement and the assistant manager was the one helping me told me that because the check was like $700 that they were gonna charge me $53 to cash it I really needed the money so i said that was fine then she told me she had to call and verify the check with the retirement agency which was fine so she call and tells me they were closed and she couldn't cash it without verifying it to come back anothor day i can tell the girl was already irritated and didn't even want to help me and didn't want to call so i went down Washington and seen anothor check cashing place on Washington and greenwood so i thought id give it a shot when i went in the girl ended up calling the retirement agency which was not closed!!! and charged me $11.00 to cash the check never will i go back to speedy cash ever and recommend people to drive a little further to avoid this place read more

avoid this place at all cost! they inputted my information incorrectly and everytime i tried to borrow they would make me re submit proof my social and id. i never give out copies of my ssc but this place wanted copies? yea, no. if they are that incompetent with enttering information i can only imagine what they do with physical copies. read more

Hate this place. I came here wanting to sell some gift cards because I didn't want to have to mail them through an online service. The lady said that she didn't think they accepted some of the cards I had given her so I asked if she could check and see if they did. She came back fifteen minutes later and said they only accepted one of the cards I had given her and that I needed to sign some paperwork for it. I told her I changed my mind because if I was going to have to mail them in anyways I might as well mail all of them in and get more money. Well she starts yelling at me from behind the counter and then her coworker comes over and yells at me too!! They tell me that I should have thought of that sooner and that they can't do anything about it. So I stand firm not yelling back but just firm on not signing the paperwork. So after quite some time of them bashing me they decide to give me my cards back but not after calling their supervisor and talking crap about me and calling me names while I'm standing right there. Never again will I go their and I had been their several times before. There's no way those ladies should have jobs if they talk to customers like that. read more
