I'm not entirely sure how one is meant to navigate the Kafkaesque labyrinth that is Stephanie…read moreChew's State Farm branch in Whittier, CA, but I can say with some confidence that I have emerged from it both bewildered and deeply dissatisfied. You see, I found myself in the rather unfortunate position of being involved in a motor vehicle accident--another driver cut me off and crashed into my car, which, as far as I understand the laws of physics and basic driving etiquette, was not my doing. Naturally, I thought it prudent to request a review of any available footage to support this wildly controversial notion of "not being at fault." This, however, was met with what I can only describe as an administrative shrug. Thinking perhaps there had been some sort of clerical oversight (these things do happen, after all), I made several attempts to follow up--calls, inquiries, the usual rituals. Silence. Not even the comforting hum of progress. Just... nothing. Eventually, I did manage to speak with Stephanie, at which point I had hoped for clarity, or at the very least, a modicum of professional curiosity about my situation. Instead, I was rather unceremoniously talked down to and, quite astonishingly, made to feel as though I had somehow orchestrated the entire incident myself. I assure you, if I had that level of control over events, I would have chosen a far less inconvenient outcome. Now here's the truly remarkable part: months later, upon checking the status of my claim, I discovered it had been recorded as me accepting full liability. Full liability! A conclusion I neither agreed to nor was properly informed about. It's the sort of plot twist one might expect in a poorly written procedural drama. All in all, the experience has been less "customer service" and more "existential puzzle," with communication that could generously be described as intermittent at best. I had hoped for diligence, transparency, and perhaps even a hint of advocacy. What I received was... well, this. Would not recommend, unless you enjoy confusion, unanswered questions, and surprise endings.

You needed to ring to be let in, I don't understand why. As I sat there a woman helped us and asked what we wanted for today. I told her I wanted to open a joint bank account with my daughter. Then I showed her the online one I saw and explained how I wanted the "free" one. She looked confused and brought in another guy. They both questioned to the reason for me wanting to open an account. I felt odd and just explained it was just everyday use, personal stuff, nothing business. Then they start to mention how if we do this that the first money we deposit must be a check and how it takes this many days. I felt like she was trying to make us not wanted. Even the guy was questioning why. Then they asked 'Why don't you just stay with the other bank then?' Thats that made me lose it. They made me feel so unwelcome, unwated, unqualified, and like I don't know what I was talking about. In the end the guy gave me paperwork to fill out with a 1800 number! I am never ever doing my business here. I'm staying with my original bank because at least they gave us the red carpet!
