Mushy English peas on a burrito? Ick. We've had two meals with Speedy Burrito, one there and one carryout. The meal there was last summer. I had a chili relleno burrito and it was institutional, at best. Hubby had an al pastor burrito and it was delicious. We shared a plate if nachos and they were very good. The service was excellent. Fast forward to December 2018. We decided to get some chow for carryout. Al pastor burritos, Taco Aztecas and a side of rice and a side of beans. We git the chow home and the first thing we noticed....they forgot the side dishes. We live a good distance from the restaurant, so going back wasn't a viable option. I called the restaurant to see if I could drop by today for some type of reimbursement. The young lady on the phone all of a sudden couldn't understand me. Someone else took my call. She was borderline argumentative but, finally agreed that I could come by today. I decided to skip it and right it up to experience. A round trip of 15 miles for some starch isn't worth it. Then we dug into the taco and burritos. The taco was very good. It would have been better if it had more than two skimpy tablespoons of filling on it. Definitely not worth price charged. Then came the al pastor burritos, which were ordered "with everything". We wrongly assumed that meant the meat, beans, lettuce, cheese, etc..The ingredients that are associated with fully loaded burritos.....in America. After this experience, I'm lead to believe that "real Mexican" food is comprised of whatever is found on sale by their suppliers. This week, English peas must have been sale. Our al pastor burritos were NOTHING like the one we enjoyed earlier this year. The everything burritos were half rice, one quarter undercooked beans and barely one quarter of the most dried up, flavorless and tough mystery meat known to Winder. No cheese. No fresh vegetables. No sour cream. Nothing like the picture they use in their advertising. And the coup de grace were the English peas on the burritos. Seriously. Those nasty little glops that you mother force fed you at Thanksgiving. I've been to different parts of Mexico several times.....and no, not the resorts. One village was accessed by donkey. The food there was absolutely delicious. And there wasn't a grey, squishy English pea in sight. We probably won't be going back. Like so many restaurants, they have the ability and they lure you in, in the beginning with delicious food and courteous service. They get greedy, spoiled by good reviews....they start slacking off more and more. With everything. From service to the grub offered. If it's not broken, don't fix it! English peas????? read more

They offer a carne asada Chile relleno burrito!!!! This is our fav combination. Theirs is a little dry but it's good! I wouldn't drive to winder just for their burritos but when I'm there I pick some up. It's a popular place hooked on to circle K and across the street from Dairy Queen. Wish we discovered this place sooner. We were there for the first time for their three year anniversary. The service was above and beyond most restaurants I've been to. The food is authentic and so tasty. We tried tamales, tacos and burritos. The pollo burrito was my favorite. I'd go here any day over a Moe's or Barberitos. read more

Everything I've eaten here has been good. Sometimes the drive thru gets backed up and they will come to take your order on an iPad.

I have had so many good meals from Speedy Burritos, so I am not happy to make this post. The last time I ate tacos here, the taco meat was terribly fatty, so much that I had to spit it out. True Mexican food... this place is gold. For a quick lunch you an go wrong. I've been here several times and never been unhappy. It's small quant and the food is on point. Traveling through Winder after visiting family and found this amazing little fast food restaurant. My hubby missed it because it's next to a gas station, but definitely don't let that deter you from trying this place. The 5 star rating they have is well earned. I only wish we lived up her because it would be my go to spot. I had the chicken and barbacoa tacos, hubby had carne asada burrito. The tortillas were so flavorful and you could distinguish the different flavors and spices of the meats. The service, although young, is always nice to me and something I love, THEY DON'T SPEAK SPANISH BEHIND YOUR BACK! The food! This place is incredible! The food is authentic and well prepared. I went through the drive-thru and got the pollo platillo not knowing what to expect and guys!!! I had driven by speedy burrito many tumes. Said I would try them but never stopped.. until 2 months ago. Now I cant get enough!!! I love their salsa verde on the steak tacos Omg these are addictive. However warning. If you do not like silantro tell them. They cover them in fresh silantro. I learned that my first time there. You know being new you have no clue. But like I said I know how to order it now. They offer desserts like flan. Again yummy! You can drive thru or sit in and eat. I prefer to call ahead and pick up in thr drive thru. AMAZING. Authentic. Delicious. The burrito was well worth the money, it had so much meat on it I couldn't have been happier. My only issue is the taco is corn tortillas, I prefer flour, but I still ate it and loved it. The salsa is spicy but so so good! Will go back for sure. read more

Meats were fatty as all get out. Quarter size chunks of fat that had to be spat out. Rice is full of peas and green beans. I personally don't like that. The cheese dip had a good flavor but the salsa did not. The chips were thick and hard as roof shingles. It was kinda pricey, which would've been fine if the food was better.
