I always thought that the screen that flashed at the check out had something to do with points. But this time I asked. I was informed that it's just "asking for a donation" and when I think about how many times I saw this and I wasn't asked I was shocked. I have no problem giving something as a donation if it is for a good cause. Well me alone is at least $25 per month that they would get because I gas up both cars. How many other people are not having a chance to donate that might if given the opportunity?

It wasn't a long time, but in an empty store with two employees visible, I felt ignored. Then I thought, maybe they think I'm not ready, due to where I was standing. So, I walked up to the register and watched Jon stare intensely at the beverage dispensers from the kitchen area. He came over and assisted me, hurriedly, and then rushed off. He seemed annoyed when I asked if I could have a receipt because he had to come back to do so. Because I'm nosey, I stuck around to see what the issue was over by the drink dispensers. I watched him walk up to what I believe was the coffee machine and watched as he grabbed a cup from underneath the dispenser and brought it up to his lips. Turns out that he was just jonesing for a hit of caffeine!

It was lunchtime so we dined at Subway, gassed up, used the restrooms and headed on. The Love's was a little smaller than some others but was well stocked. The ladies room was clean; the men's room wasn't bad but needed some love.

This became my go-to gas station after a kind woman at Kroger told me that I could save $1 per…read moregallon of gas if I used my Kroger card at the pump. Say whaaaaat?! That's all I needed to know -- I hightailed it to Turkey Hill (which is right next door to Kroger) and paid about $1.24 per gallon. That's unheard of. There's also a mini-mart here, too, but I haven't gone inside yet.

Cons -The past two times I've been here, there have been at least two pumps out of order. -The touch screens malfunction, too - when you swipe your card and it asks "debit or credit" there is no button to press... -Because of it's prime location in Carmel, it is heavily trafficked and I often have to wait in line for gas. I'll give it another chance for convenience and money savings, but I haven't been pleased with my encounters so far.
