I bought a Nissan Altima from them back in 2018 and it is one of the most dependable cars I've ever had. So when I began my search for a pick up truck, I went back to Speedway and dealt with Mickey Dolan. He made the process so easy and quick. He did everything possible to make sure that I bought a dependable truck and walked out satisfied that I got a great deal. I can't imagine dealing with any car lot. read more

Be WARNED! Purchased a used car. Very next day had transmission issues. Mechanic says they see a lot of this from Speedway Motors and it's clear they knew about the issue and didn't disclose. Cost estimate to repair is twice what I paid for the vehicle. I would not recommend them to anyone. If you've had issues too and want in on the fraudulent lawsuit please let me know. read more

We bought a used vehicle from Speedway Motors in Murfreesboro on September 18, 2025, and it turned into a nightmare almost immediately. Within two days, the check engine light came on and the car overheated. Multiple repair shops confirmed it needed a new engine, coolant pump, and water pump -- about $17k in repairs. Despite countless calls and emails, the dealership never sent the 110-point inspection they advertised and completely ignored us. Their website claims they are "honest," sell "quality used vehicles," you can "buy with confidence," and they sell "quality automobiles." Their Facebook page says "We stand behind what we sell." These statements couldn't be further from the truth. If you're thinking about buying from Speedway Motors, buyer beware -- they do not stand behind their vehicles or their word. read more

we had an issue with the bank on a used car we traded in.... didn't think the bank was ever getting paid. we worried about that. called Mason at Speedway, he took on the paperwork trail, expedited the payment and paperwork with diligence. It was taken care of in less than 48 hours. we are grateful for his hard work. Speedway Motors is definitely our car dealership ! read more

I just bought a used car so my review at this point is only in reference to the salesman, Mickey Dolan. I had a very good experience working with Mickey. Athough the car I thought I wanted to buy (within my price range) did not turn out to be what I had expected, Mickey worked dilingently to find a car that did match my price range. He also was very forcoming about the details involving each car I looked at. Thus, if you are looking for a used car, I would encourge you to check out Speedway Motors and ask for Mickey. read more

The salesman was so unhelpful and told me my dad looked 'unwell'. He's recovering from a double lung transplant. So disappointed because of all the good reviews. read more

Great experience all the way around. No pressure. Jeff and Mickey were phenomenally easy and flexible! Highly recommend them!

Second vehicle purchase here and I shoul' ve known better. Purchase 2017 Tahoe within 72hrs from from driving off the lot. Taking it home to wash and notice the rims are severely bent in the rear and slightly on the passenger from tire/rim. Jeff said he has wheel guy that can fix across the street. Premiere wheels and tires ( whole in the wall tire shop). Made two trips to the shop and at this second trip ppl spoke to the tire repair. He stated the tire would be damaged cosmetically, and could risk the chance of cracking the rim? Called Speedway left message and response. The Tahoe rides OK until 75-90 mph speed gets a little wobbly. Became full with this lot. The vehicles are at questions with the history report. Some vehicle like my Tahoe was spayed a single coat black of paint and poor job at that. Notice the paint job is covering up damaged, rusted areas. I can feel and see the rust bubble build under the paint. Also I notified Redstone Federal Credit Union for working with shady car dealerships that DO NOT FOLLOW on their promises. Also dealership ran my credit through multiple lenders. This was done with my without my consent. read more

They were very engaged when selling the car and following up before I took it off the lot. Had an issue not long after driving off lot and could not get anyone to return my call or email. I found that to be problematic. Consistent customer service is a big deal for me when it comes to spending my money. So I now know and will let others know. read more

Absolutely the worst in car sales. We were lied to repeatedly about the car we bought. We were sold this car under the impression it was a Mercedes Certified Vehicle. Once we questioned it 2 weeks later as the car broke down, Speedway backpedaled on this and we had not even had it for more than a few weeks. It needed shocks/struts, axles, and both compressor pump and air valve for the airmatic suspension. $3,000 in parts professionally installed by a local and highly reputable mechanic. We had called Dallas and Jeff IMMEDIATELY and multiple times when the issues began, and we were ignored for over 4 weeks. No calls back. When we FINALLY did get through to Jeff (manager) he was in denial and said it was NAPA certified not Mercedes Certified. This is absolutely not true! My wife and I were standing in the office and Jeff said Mercedes Certified on this vehicle! We then asked for the inspection items as a checklist, and they still failed to provide it. They showed a repair order (from the auto shop they own BTW) and things like batteries and starter were replaced. NO INSPECTION CHECKLIST! They will continue to lie to buyers into thinking the cars they sell are a good deal. The other reviews speak for themselves, many with this same vein and nature. Simply put, they are artists of deception. The "inspection" performed by their repair shop missed obvious things and they just could not admit they missed critical items. BUYER BEWARE!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE BUT SPEEDWAY!!!! read more

BEWARE! We are in our 60's and have had the WORSE experience in our lives with this dealership. First sold us a car, showing no accidents and we later found out it was wrecked. We carried car to our mechanic and 30 warnings showed up. They changed wheels after we bought car prior to us picking it up. It has been over 2 months and we still have not received tags we paid them for. When you call and ask for Steve, he is always "busy". When you ask for owner he is also busy. No one will call us back and we have let multiple messages. I would NOT recommend ANYONE do business here....We bought a car from them two months ago and have already had to put over 2 grand in it. Plus the check engine light and one of the sensor lights are still showing up. Next stop will be a Nissan dealership and dread the cost of this too..... read more

My whole family has gotten a vehicle from here and no one has had a bad experience. I literally found my vehicle online. Flew there and drove home and have not had a problem yet. Even after a year and some confusion with me registering, they were still very helpful. Every person I've dealt with at Speedway Motors have been helpful and polite. Top Notch customer service. Been to a few dealerships these past few days and dreaded to go to another one in fear of all the pressure and crap they throw at you-- SURPRISE!! This place amazes me ! Rex and Jeff worked so fast and diligently. I was in and out of there in 1 and 1/2 hours with a car I loved -- my Lexus-- much lower interest. and an affordable payment!! No pressure -- very efficient and I would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a car if you want to avoid the BS. They even gave me gas $. read more

Just say no to this place; save your time, your money, and stay away. Especially if you have no knowledge on cars. Fortunately I do, and was hesitant going in, but figured I'd give it a shot; there are some legit used cars lots. But this isn't one of them. They seem to prey on those desperate or unknowledgeable. Funny too, brought my kid with me, and when we left, he said they knew that car was junk! I said yep, that was a lesson for you in car shopping. Would say it was a waste of my time, but I ended up at a "real" dealership right after leaving. The right place at the right time, and walked away with an awesome deal on a GOOD used vehicle. read more

My daughter purchased a car in August. After leaving, the engine light came on. We contacted the owner, Jeff and he seemed genuinely concerned and said he would do whatever it took to make it right. We took to our mechanic and he stated the car fax was incorrect that the vehicle had not been serviced. We spent over 200.00 to fix. We then did the omissions test and failed. After calling multiples times, Jeff would not return the call. We did everything he suggested but was not willing to pay more money to pass the omissions test. A month later and we still have not been able to transfer the vehicle. We have resolved the issue ourself no thanks to the owner. read more

watch out! Chances are your car will not have a tag light, and when you get pulled over and go to the dealership to find out why there is no tag light, they will act like they have no idea what you're talking about and will offer 0 assistance. Once you're out the door here, they are done with you. Love my car, don't love this ticket that I am going to have to pay for something that was never specified in the vehicle description or mentioned in the sale process. SMH. read more

I had a great experience here. I purchased a PT cruiser that has given me very loyal service. The price was perfect and vehicle was solid. I referred a friend, and he bought a Nissan Titan. Again, it was a great price and solid truck. One thing did happen on my friend's truck. Some kind of an exhaust sensor stopped working correctly after the first week and the truck started to smoke. So he took it back and the dealership fixed it for free. That was several months ago and the truck is perfect now. Great job Speed Way! read more

This was my first experience at buying a car off of a lot they do not tell you about the $500 doc fee , they told me the extended warranty is $20 a month this is not true more like 30 they gave me a Carfax report that said it had never been wrecked and yet my mechanics found that it had and the computer was being held up by zip ties and it was missing the inner wheel well so water was being splashed on the computer every time in rained, this cost me another $500 they are very nice people but make sure that you read everything you are signing because they lie when they tell you stuff like how much the extended warranty costs and if you are going for financing they send your information to numerous loan people and you get a lot of hard inquiries on your credit, my credit score went down almost 50 points because of them. I wish I had read the reviews before going there read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE THEIR ALL ARE SCAMMERS WITH BAD CARS. I bought a car December 23rd. Car overheated January 8th. Would not sell me a car because I was paying with cash. Said they do not make any money that way, so they just won't.

I contacted the dealership June 14, 2019 about a GMC Yukon. With me being 300 miles away I asked the very rude salesperson if he could take a few pictures for me of underneath the vehicle just to make sure there wasnt any rust build up.The vehicle had around 100k miles and from Kentucky. He said all of our vehicles are inspected before putting on the lot. I said I'm sure they are but it would make me feel better if I could look at some pictures before driving over 300 miles to buy it. He said no I'm not going to crawl under a car and get my clothes dirty. I said just take some with a smart phone. With a phone in your hand reach under and tahe a few picks. No need to crawl under the car. He said no Im not going to. I said can I get another salesperson to help me. He put me on hold and then got back on the phone and said there not anyone here that going to take pictures of the backend of the Yukon. Well I've never had a car lot to say no about sticking there arm under a vehice and taking a few photos. Lazy rude people at this place. I buy a Yukon or Tahoe once a year and always ask for pictures if the car lot is out of the area. I wouldn't buy from this place. Just my opinion. read more

Rex was so patient and attentive, helping my son get a car. In this incredibly rough heat, and as busy as they were, he ran all over the lot, showing him all the choices, even staying past closing to make sure we left with the vehicle my son wanted. And the prices can not be beat! We looked all over Middle Tennessee! And Steve, in finance there, was just as awesome. Just a true sense of family, and honest business. It was a wonderful experience, which typically doesn't happen at most car lots! Truly impressed! We will be back! Thank you!! read more

Okay, first thing, this is a used car lot and the cars sold are "as is". With that in mind. 24 hours after I bought my third car from them, the check engine light came on. I called and they had me in to their mechanic that week. Long and short - after 2 after market catalytic converters, 1 dealer cat, and finally an O2 sensor later. It got resolved. What was I out of pocket? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! If there's a problem within a reasonable time, they want you happy. Two months down the line, well, it's like any used car you buy....at that point it's yours. I think this dealership is great and I will continue to buy my cars from them! read more

Absolutely horrible. Deal was done and all that had to be completed was a trip to the bank to sign the paperwork. My daughter called the next day to let them know when she would be bringing the check and they sold the car out from under her the night before. I had already added the car to my insurance!! Will NEVER recommend this group to anyone. Thought I'd try local, but lesson learned. read more

We recently bought a Mercedes Benz GLK 350. From speedway 2 months ago. We are now in late February 2021. The car engine starts knocking so we have the car checked to find out that it needs a completely new Engine and the cost for that is more than the car is worth. We tried reaching out to the car lot to ask to trade it back or just take it back period and they never responded to calls or emails. They completely ignored us. We are both essential workers and need our vehicles everyday for work. Even though we bought the car as is that doesn't mean you can sell someone a car at full price in complete catastrophic engine failure but they did. We are currently seeking legal action against them. I do not suggest you buy any car from them unless checked very thoroughly by a professional. They told us they do checks on all the cars and convinced us it was in sound condition. They completely mowed and misrepresented the car in it's entirety. If it's true they do inspections on all cars then it's obvious they knew they were selling a completely worthless car to Us. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS CROOKED CAR LOT. read more

This was the worst car buying experience I've ever had. My 19 year old son was purchasing his first car and I was paying the down payment from another state. While Rex posted the car, he was not there as planned to meet my son. Another gentleman handled the short test drive and then my son was turned over to the manager, who assured me by phone that he would treat my son like one of his own kids. Scary thought. Within 24hrs we found the car was a lemon at best and a death trap at worst. Things happen I guess. After driving all the way home to Nashville, the engine kept stalling out, so we expected them to take the death trap back the next day. Instead they dragged the return process out for weeks ignoring our repeated calls and claiming the manager was not in when my son would drive the 30 miles back... in the death trap. Finally their mechanic agreed to look at the car and finally concurred it was irreparable! This should have been a closed book, but now they wouldn't return the down payment or cancel the loan so we could find a safe car with good customer service. After 5 weeks and a case investigated by the better business bureau, we finally settled with them on a different car. Through it all my sons credit score dropped 30 points because they repeatedly ran his impeccable credit, he lost days of work, spent gas and hours driving back and forth, and lost 6% interest for the month his down payment was held by Speedway. Even months later we're still trying to correct the mess of now having TWO loans the dealer submitted. Bottom line, problems happen with "as is" cars, but a 24 hr return equals good customer service. I don't give 5 star reviews for a sale well made. I give 5 stars when a challenge is successfully overcome to everyone's satisfaction. This is NOT that. read more

Bought a car from them in January 2014. The seller was very hesitant to answer questions on history of car. I ended up talking to the guy that does the financial paperwork and he sold me a bunch of empty promises. Said the car will have no problems and if it does he has a shop that will work on it. Six days after I purchased the car the check engine light came on and the car started hesitating. It stopped after a day. Two months later the entire engine goes out. I call the dealer for two weeks straight to talk to the financial guy. Chris I think. He avoids me for a couple weeks easy. When I finally get him to talk to me , he tells me to take it to his shop. The shop tells me that I need to replace the entire engine. I asked how could this happen after two months. No explanation. I asked him how much it would be and what was the dealer gonna do. He told me it would be $7500 and the dealer refuses to do anything with it. He said I was on my own. Broken promises. I take it to me own mechanic and he tells me he will fix the engine for $2500. I said that's a humongous difference from the dealer's help. I was so upset I gave this business any of my time and money. read more

The sales men in particular...looked unkempt, his teeth were severely discolored (too much coffee and soda) wore glasses, the sales facility and building appeared very dated (early 80's)...not sure why they had newer cars on the lot...something wasn't right about this picture....RUN!!!!! read more

Buyer Beware. Bought a vehicle with low miles for $12,000. Transmission dropped out of it less than 4 months later. Speedway wants nothing to do with it.
