GMC Jimmy, Silverado, Cavilier, ... each time he knew right of the top of his head, the extensive details surrounding the specific issue for the specific make, model, year. When I have the time and ability; I tend to try to fix my vehicles myself. Years ago, I was working on an exhuast system. I had no torches at the time. I was having a heck of a time with a few rusty bolts. I stopped in at Waldrops with a large section of exhaust. He took the time to break out his torch set and free the bolts that were giving me the pain, enabling me to return to my project and complete the job with ease. When I offered payment, he didnt except. Another instance, I purchased parts elsewhere, intending to make a repair myself but time didnt permit me. Waldrop fixed it, using the parts I brought in. This is a great small town family owned shop. I recommend service here for most vehicle makes and the majority of their issues.

I get the car back and it's making worse noise than when I brought it in. Take it back in. He says it was the dust shroud. Well ok, but if he would have driven it to make sure the brakes worked first he would have known the shroud was rubbing. But whatever. Take it home. Now the check engine light is on and my car is emitting this weird smell. ALL I WANTED WAS MY BRAKES FIXED!! Every time I take it back to him something else happens to it! When I called back the first time about the shroud they were super rude and he wouldn't even get on the phone to talk to me! Just had this lady keep telling me "it's the shroud". Like I know what a shroud is?! I had to google it. NEVER EVER EVER GO THERE. You WILL regret it! Now I gotta take it to my normal mechanic and pay EVEN MORE MONEY to fix a problem Waldrop's created! The (men's) restrooms aren't always pristine, but the rest of the store is usually pretty tidy. In addition to roller grill items, pizza slices, hot sandwiches and cold sandwiches, they have a Subway inside. This is one of their few truck stop stores. They have some parking for big rigs, but not many spaces. DEF is available here for diesel powered rigs of all sizes.
