For a Monday morning stop I am excited to report I was greeted by a smiley bubbly customer service professional named Janette. The facility was clean, well and stocked. Janette was answering phones, helping customers and working the cash register. I could hear her in excitement as I roamed the Isle looking for snacks. I also used the restroom during this stop. The signs were posted so I found it fast, the restroom was clean and well kept. A good stop close to the expressway with lots of parking. I felt very safe here. read more

Flying J I came here for the chicken. Really. No gas. Nothing. Just love the chicken. I came in and saw only a few pieces left. Nothing. Wow. Do people in this area really love the chicken or is the cook really lazy? I asked the manager. She really did not seem to care about cooking any chicken. Wow. It was around 6pm and she told me the next cook time would be 9pm. What? Terrible service. No wonder this gas station gets ZERO customers. Really. You just lost about $20-$30 worth of food from a good customer. Sad. Don't come here. You will be Disappointed. Especially if you are expecting to buy some of their famous fried chicken. read more

Looking at the old Denny's reviews... no wonder it's not here anymore. Prob hard in this area to get quality folks to run stuff. Anyway it's a good place to park. Showers are good, snacks inside in C Store as usual. We rented a car to scoot around in. Here till Sunday. We will eat everywhere else this week. Have a few places in mind. I am amazed this location scores a 2.5. The servers; both gals in their 20's apparently hate (?). The final straw was this morning. I asked for my pancakes to be served after I ate my omelet. "You are killing me" she said (mind you there were 2 customers, one another gentlemen and myself). She brought out the omelet and it was, as usual; great. Before I was finished with my omelet she asked "are you ready for your pancakes'? I figured by the time I finished my omelet they would come out freshly made in 3-5 minutes. She brought them out in less than one minute; cold. In a smart tone she said "eat 'em up". She continued her condescending tone while ringing up the check and had the gull to ask "would you like something to go"? The managers seem okay, the cooks do a good job, both servers should get another job. read more

Be careful of the pumps overflowing your gas tank. I was filling up my gas tank while standing right next to the pump and then saw gas overflowing out of my car all over the rear of my car, my shoes, and the pavement. The pump didn't automatically stop like it's supposed to. It malfunctioned. I had to pry the trigger of the handle open just to get it to stop. Of course I was pissed off so I went inside to tell them what happened. They said they would send a worker out to clean the spill. That was it. THEIR pump malfunctioned, leaving $5/gallon gas on the ground, my car needing its second car wash in the last two days, my card being charged an extra $10 for gas on the ground, and me with my gas-soaked shoes, and all I got was "you're the first one that's happened to today. Oh well" from the moron behind the desk. Unless Flying J reaches out to make it right, I guess I'll be going 1/4 mile down the road to Love's from now on. read more

Its 2 1/2 stars really and earned by the convenience store and abundance in semi parking. But I have to critic Denny's and its drop a deuce staff from the chef and horrible cooking to Adam I'm so high I forgot I'll be back for the 10th x waiter. read more

Flying J - Rotten - Gas Stations Near Me - Grand Ledge, Michigan

If you are out of state and driving through, and to get gas or take a break think twice. There are cops in this area that will stop anyone. They are disrespectful and don't want any outsiders. I passed through here two years ago, filled up my tank and bought a coffee. I got in my car and contemplated going to their diner, but before that the cops, which frequent this place stopped me. They hassled me for no good reason and basically told me to leave. Find another location where you will be treated with respect. Don't waste your money in an establishment that promotes bigotry. read more

The Flying J part of the store is really good and cleanrestrooms and showers but the IHOP isnt very good service. Host was fast to seat us, we sat there for 10 mins had servers going by and looking right at us and never stopped to see if we wanted anything to drink or eat. Got up and left. Decided to eat at Flying J Deli which was good. read more

A great place to stop and eat or rest! Has great customer service and the store has anything you expect from a gas station but they also sell many things for truckers. You can either eat in the Denny's that is conveniently attached or get some great food that Flying J makes themselves! They also usually have some of the cheapest gas around. read more

Service in Denny's sucked. Food was overly greasy, bacon under cooked. This is hands down the worst Dennys I've ever been to. You might as well tell the waitress bring me what you want because you won't get what you order. I think maybe if they did drug tests they wouldn't have a staff. read more

The Denny's at this location was horrible. I had to send back my fries because they were so burnt. When I got the new order they were so salty I couldn't eat them. The sweet tea tasted rotten and the waitress couldn't handle the number of customers she had. The lady behind us had to send back her food too and was not quiet about it. The manager did give us 25% off but truthfully that isn't much more than the AARP discount we always get. She didn't seem real concerned she had multiple customers sending food back. read more

We travel with a semi and we travel a lot and its really nice to go in and get friendly service. We love to save money and we will go into any other place and they they wont tell you there is savings because they want you to spend more money than you need to, and Pam the cashier at this Flying Jay gave us the tip that their is a reward program and she saved us $7. I really appreciate that and that is the kind of employee I would want for my business, because in the end its the comfort of the customer that matters. So thank you Pam, and the rest of the employees there that does the same thing she did. read more

We have had multiple credit card issues with this location. They have declined our corporate Comdata Master Card multiple times, then today they declined my personal Platinum Visa card. I verified funds with the bank and online. By that time, the cashier had run the card so many times there was a fraud alert. I called the store and spoke to the manager, Jami Rowley. She snickered at the problem and could not have cared less. She refused to give me the number to her supervisor, (which I found out later from the supervisor, is posted in several locations around the store). I ended up calling the 866 number and the regional manager called me back and was apologetic, but really offered no solution or compensation for my lost time. I solved the problem by sending another driver with cash, but will again remind all of my drivers to never use Pilot/Flying J. Their people are disengaged from their customer and their job, customer service, and obviously are poorly trained. I also suggested they look into another credit card provider. I would have given them 0 stars but the review would not allow it. read more
