Several years ago I noticed I had been having issues hearing people talk when there were other…read morenoises or conversations nearby. I went to the Hearing Group and they tested my hearing and identified deficiencies at various ranges. They also indicated that I had tinnitus. They discussed several hearing aids, their features and benefits including costs. They also checked my insurance and got the authorization for the hearing aids. They fitted the hearing aids, showed me how to use and take care of them and had me come back several times to check everything and made sure I was comfortable. (the hearing aids were great. The cat tried eating them, they went scuba diving with me and they kept working fine for several years.) After 6 years it was time to retire them. Went back to the Hearing Group, had my hearing checked and got new hearing aids. The doctors were great as always, They discussed the new technology(wow), made recommendations and I have new hearing aids. Better tech, these block unwanted sounds even better. The connect to my iPhone and I can watch TV with the sound at the right level for me without everybody else complaining. I highly recommend the hearing group. Won't let anyone else inside my ears. Staff is welcoming and professional. Called me to remind me for appointment. Everyone there really cares. Worst part is the 45 minute drive to get there, BUT WORTH THE TRIP!!

He tends to speak to me from the other side of our home as opposed to coming closer to say whatever he wants to say. Meredith, the audiologist, was very thorough and asked…read moremany pertinent questions before performing the hearing test, which was done in a "quiet booth" for my 91 year old mother. After the test, she explained the results, options and made a recommendation, which was quite different from her prior experience (8 years before). My mother agreed with Meredith, who then made the mold of her ear. They called when the hearing aid was ready; this visit was with the other audiologist, Eric. He was just as thorough in explaining the use and care of my mother's hearing aid, then fit her and programmed it using the computer, which fine tuned it to the right level. Eric patiently answered all the questions my mother asked him. So far, I am pleased that my mother can now understand everything I'm saying to her without having to repeat myself! I'm sure our other relatives who come to visit her will be pleasantly surprised. The location is 1 block off of the Parkway exit ramp (exit 135) if you're driving northbound. If coming southbound, you just go around through the intersection. The waiting area is clean, with more than enough comfortable seats. There were plenty of open spots in their parking lot. There are NO STAIRS, which is wonderful ~ only a small curb separates the wide driveway from the sidewalk, which the front door is level with. The woman at the front desk, Val, is business-like and helpful. She completes their staff of 3. Their hours are VERY LIMITED (10-4, M-F) which caused a 3 month delay between the 1st & 2nd appointments which conflicted with my husbands work hours and when he was next able to take off. He is the only one my wheelchair-bound mother trusts to transport her anywhere. In the interim, my mother spoke with a friend of hers about her experience; the friend told her that there are companies who will come to a patients home. Aside from that problem, which most likely would affect a small number of their patients, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Hearing Center for their attributes and would have given them a 5 star rating! If I learn of any changes or additions to their hours and/or days, I will post an update to this review.

I had an issue with the tubing and I went as a walk in and was promptly helped. Not only that, but they didn't bill me then for the tube and service, 100 I believe, and just trusted me with a mailed invoice later. Today I went back as I prepare for a move out of state this month, so I wanted wax guards and a cleaning for my hearing aid. I went as a walk in so I totally understood having to wait as they were with a patient. Well I ended up waiting 45 min or so, which I didn't really mind, but was very pleasantly surprised that they not only walked the aid and was guards out to my car where I had been waiting, but didn't even charge me since she said I "had to wait so long".
