I should've known the second I walked in and seeing the amount of cosmetic and medspa offerings this not a legitimate functional medicine office. My first appointment I came in then did a BMI assess ment, took vitals, and then I met with Daiva who is one of their nurse practitioners. She listened to my symptoms as I explained what I've been experiencing with no changes and only seeming to get worse. She wrote down everything I mentioned and noted that I would need to come back for testing as no one told me prior to this appt I should've been fasting for lab work. I then came back about a week later, had an insane amount of blood taken for testing, urine test, and H. Pylori testing done. When I came back a few weeks later for a 2pm appointment I waited for over 20 minutes before anyone took me back and then additional testing was done prior to going over results with Daiva. A metabolic breathe test was done and then an ultrasound of my leg veins was done. I was assured that the ultrasound was a free screening and would not be charged. I have been monitoring my insurance to make sure that is true. I was already annoyed because at this point I had been here an hour and still not gone over my results. Finally we make it to the back and they are taking my vitals again and weight, then going back to see Daiva for all my results. This took about another hour to go over everything. My boyfriend came with me as he wanted to see if they could find out any updates and then determine if he should start coming here as a patient as well. He was even more annoyed that I was that we had been there for 2 hours and could not answer anything of my sickness and instead suggested I do additional testing that I had requested to do in the first place and would be all out of pocket costs. The only thing the lab work came back with was every vitamin in my body was very low and below the optimal functional range. They did not do the GI mapping like I had requested or glyphosphate testing. When I brought it to Daiva's attention that my allergist found out that my histamine levels are extremely high it maybe affecting my gut health and DAO enzyme productivity. Her response is "what is a DAO enzyme" once I heard that and all the specific testing I wanted was not done I knew this was a money grab functional medicine scam. They sent me home with over $500 worth of supplements and she recommended I start taking them all immediately. For someone who is depleted of these vitamins wouldn't taking all these doses at once send the body into shock? I followed up with my PCP, allergist, and a legit functional medicine doctor. They agreed most if not all of the herbal supplements they sent me home with were completely unnecessary. Very disappointed in what seems to be a money grab scam and there was still not clear diagnosis of my symptoms or what maybe even causing them. Very frustrating as i am still not feeling well and was hoping they would be able to say it was a gut imbalance or some type of parasite. Not to mention even more concerning that a patient knows more than their provider about gut health and enzyme. DO NOT GO HERE FOR FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE! I will be monitoring my insurance and credit card charges to make sure they are not continuing to charge me.

I am a professional musician (singer and educator) who has seen ENT's for 25 years to treat GERD (acid reflux), the early stages of vocal nodules, sinus infections, and sleep apnea. While I have been lucky enough to have amazing ENT's through ENT Allergy (no bad experiences with any of their doctors), no one is better than Dr. Scheibelhoffer. It's not even close. No ENT has provided me with such stellar knowledge and immediate feedback than this doctor. He ALWAYS has the answers and goes to great lengths to educate his patients. Dr. Scheibelhoffer is the consummate professional - caring, compassionate, witty, and an outstanding sense of humor. I walked in today, and he commented immediately on my sports jersey. As he was prepping my files, we continued to talk sports for a few minutes before an inevitable nasal endoscopy was about to occur. He knows precisely what to say to put patients of ALL AGES at ease. Over the next couple of months, we worked hard together--adjustments, recovery sessions, different treatments--everything I needed to get better. He was super consistent, always made sure I was improving, and pushed me just the right amount. Thanks to Dr. Carrion, not only did I come back--I finished the season strong.
