I went to Audiology & Hearing because my family kept complaining that they had to repeat them self's when speaking to me as I did not hear what they were saying. I went reluctantly as I am vain and did not want to wear hearing aids and look like an old man. I had read about the so called invisible hearing aids that go all the way into your ears and no one can see them. April the Audiologist there tried to talk me out of the invisible hearing aids as she said my hearing loss was more advanced than I thought, she said the on your ear hearing aids would work better. Being vain I said no I want the invisible ones. To make a long story short she was right,I had to keep going back to her to tweak the hearing aids. April was so patient and understanding through out the 5 months I had to keep going back for the adjustments so that my hearing would be as good as I had hoped for. Unfortunately I was not happy with the hearing aids and she convinced me to switch them out for the over the ear model. April was able to convince the maker of the hearing aids to take mine back and swap them for the over the ear hearing aids with no extra cost to me. She was right they work great and you can hardly seem them so my vanity is happy as am I because now I can hear and no one even notices that I am wearing hearing aids. I have been going to Audiology and Hearing for at least 25 years. There have been hearing issues in my family since I was born. My dad suffered from a hearing loss after having scarlet fever as a child. After he went to Medical School, he decided to go into hearing aide distributing business so he could help others with the same problems. He practiced in Bergen and Passaic counties for 50 years. He met Pat Biondi during this time and they joined there practice. When my Mom and Father-in-law needed hearing aides, Pat was the man! Since then I have referred numerous friends to his practice and use them myself. April is in the Paramus office and she is dynamite! She is caring & understanding with all her patients. The staff is great and I have a long term relationship with Dawn (she worked fo my dad). She is always there for me. Dr. April Egarian is great, warm, up beating and with a beautiful smile. My right ear all of a sudden lost hearing and I was really scared because it recently generates a lot of earwax. So I called her office and got a same day appointment. I went her office for a free consultation and she checked my ears and told me straight that my both ears were kind of blocked by earwax because I've using Q-Loop swap all my life after shower and I pushed earwax deep back into my ear canal and I need to get professional to have the earwax removed and I should be fine. My wife and I went to have our hearing tested to obtain a baseline of any hearing loss. Since I believed I have "selective hearing" sometimes. My Mom has actual severe hearing loss at age 90. We could not have been more please with the way we were treated. The staff and Dr. Egarian were extremely pleasant, helpful and concerned with our particuliar needs. Althought my wife's hearing is fine, mine is slightly diminished. The doctor was honest and told me that i am not in need of hearing aids at this time, Possibly in the future, to have them checked again in a year. We will definitly return to have this done. I was having a problem for a few years with hearing when there was background noise. I made an appointment with Dr. Biondi & jhe fitted me with a pair of heaeing aids. What a difference. I am so gladf I made the appointment with them. I goe in every year for a check-up & April is amazing. Last week, something happend to both hearing aids & they stopped working. I changed the batteries & the wax filters & nothing worked. I called & dropped them off & had them back in 1 day. I highly reccommend Audiology. read more
