SPECTRUM MOBILE IS THE WORST!!!. Because Spectrum MOBILE's technical functioning and customer service are BOTH so bad, we cancelled and moved to another carrier, and did so on the billing cut-off day shown on our bill. However, Spectrum went ahead an billed us for another entire month anyway, and refused to reverse or even pro-rate the charge. They said they charged for the full month because " there was usage" on the cut-off day. Spectrum had moved to e-billing only in 2023, so I asked to see a copy of the full bill and they told me I had to view it online only. However, my online account was terminated on the cut-off day, so I could not view my final bill and the "usage" charges. When I could not access the online account, they said to click on the Spectrum.net link in the Spectrum Mobile billing email and change my password, but Spectrum.net in my mobile service email only took me to Spectrum Cable/Internet. Again, SPECTRUM MOBILE IS THE WORST!!! DON'T EVEN THINK OF USING IT--unless you enjoy dishonesty, being ripped off, and being abused with a snarky attitude by their so-called "customer service"!! read more

They have these sucker offerings to get you to sign up and then raise the price and raise the price and raise the price. They offer poor service and when the service goes out ... you have nothing ... no telephone, no TV or Internet. I do NOT recommend them. read more

After canceling more than a week in advance to port my number correctly to a new carrier, Spectrum Mobile held up the port process through my last billing date. Following this, I was forced to get a new number at my new carrier after owning that number for over a decade... I was told by multiple employees/higher management, I would need to pay an additional $65 in order to "re-activate" my phone, just so it could port correctly. Absolutely ridiculous and manipulative AF. Whatever you do, don't get a plan with them. read more

They're horrible. They're a "gotcha" company. The sales person doesn't fully explain the plan, then they discontinue phone and text service if you don't pay them what they say you owe them. Then they tell you it's your fault for being misled and will not refund their B.S. charges. read more

I wish i could give no stars. This company is robbery no fair exchange. How do you turn someone's cable off then when i called to cancel it because it's already off i get hit with being charged for a monthly subscription. So even if i did cancel i still will get charged for cable that has been off.How does that even work you turn it off so that means its off. But due to the billing cycle you can cancel the cable but you will still get charged for the services im confused how do you get charged for service thats been off? Then they tell you its cheaper to bundle. My bill went from $198 to $130 thats taking off HBO and starz oh and all the children channels except for Disney and so many more channels wasnt even any channels left to watch. Lol at this point SPECTRUM IS A RIP OFF. LET ME REMIND YOU IF YOU HAVE THEIR CABLE BOXES YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR JUST HAVING THEM IN YOUR POSSESSION YOU HEARD RIGHT NOT FOR THEM BEING IN USE BUT FOR SIMPLY HAVING THEM IN YOUR HOME. They will tell you service is cheaper if you have this and that and when its all said and done your bill comes out to be damn near 300 for just 2 cable boxes and internet and a land line. I would give less than one star. I was talked into bundling spectrum Mobile with my cable and internet service. They said I would get a new phone at no charge. I was sent an IPhone 6 that would not take a charge after the 14 days that I had to return the phone. I cancelled my service and was told I would be refunded the months of service I paid that I was not able to use if I returned the phone. I tried to return the phone and was then told it was not returnable and I owned the phone. They also said they had no record of the 20 minute conversation I had with a representative about getting a refund. I am still getting charged for the phone... that did not work directly after the 14 days I had to return. I would never recommend this service. read more

TWC was making great strides in improving pricing and customer service and then it moved to SPECTRUM!!! My bill has now increased by $50/mo so now I pay almost $2500 annually for internet & TV with ONLY 1 PREMIUM channel. I called customer service and was transferred 3 times. The Customer Service Rep was rude, arrogant and did not seem to care if they kept me as a customer. So, I believe I will be cancelling cable service and moving either to Satellite or LIVE TV and Netflix!!! WAKE UP SPECTRUM .... CUSTOMERS ACTUALLY MATTER! read more

I am furious with Spectrum (previously Time Warner Cable). I can't believe the misinformation I have received from them since taking over TWC. I have to wonder whether this is either a deliberate marketing ploy to garner more profits or just gross incompetence. Some misinformation is listed below. 1) My promos expired, set up new plan; was promised Channels 1-99. Actual plan: Spectrum Select (70 channels). However, not that important to me. 2) Advised that TWC adapter on 2nd TV could no longer be used; needed to get Spectrum adapter. Truth: Not an adapter at all. Set Top Box--free first year; then will be charged. Don't like the mistruths but I guess fair enough. 3) Confirmed 3 times on Oct 26 that my monthly charge for the new plan (TV, Internet, Phone Bundle) would be $102.96 all inclusive. Actual: First bill was shocking $172.96. VERY IMPORTANT! 4) Called Spectrum to try to resolve billing. Was passed from Customer Service to Marketing and back again. The last rep who claimed to be the final authority maintained my future bills would be $122.67 and that could creep up higher with fees & charges. He did not resolve this first bill of $172.96 to my satisfaction but arranged some weird complex repayment plan that I couldn't even begin to understand. VERY IMPORTANT! Spectrum reps gave me misinformation (or could they be lies?) on which I based my decision to go with the $102.96 bundle and then they refused to honor the agreement. I would have never agreed to pay $122.76+ a month but now after all the trouble of getting the Set-Top box set up and activated, I feel trapped. I will add that Set-Top Box I originally picked up and planned to set up myself appeared to be missing the power cord. I later found that I was just given the wrong set-up guide. After this was set up, the Set-Top Box began overheating. For both of this incidents, the Customer Rep I contacted suggested sending out a Technician, the first time to set the box up so I wouldn't have to inconvenience myself by going back to the store for the correct book/power cord and the second time to swap out the overheating box. Both of these visits were confirmed as No Charge at the time. When I complained about this first bill on 11/8, the so-called final authority at Spectrum maintained he couldn't override the computer system and the lowest price he could offer for the bundle was $122.76+ in spite of a previous rep confirming 3 times that my monthly bill would be $102.96. They should honor what they tell customers! They supposedly record calls and since I was so insistent in confirming the monthly charge, it should have also been put in the call notes. In looking at my bill, I feel I was gouged by Spectrum 1) charging me a higher monthly charge than was agreed upon and in addition 2) charging me $59.98 in One-Time Charges for Charter WiFi Activation Fee and Home Shipment Rescue. I called Spectrum again on 11/8 and the Customer Rep in Billing found these charges were not valid and removed them. Go figure! Many people might be inclined to believe this is "Bait and Switch". Has anyone else encountered a similar experience with Spectrum? I will close by saying that every technician I have ever had from TWC/Spectrum has been outstanding in their expertise, knowledge, and good will. But Spectrum's Customer Service sucks with a capital "S" excluding Glen 2519046 (above). read more
